Back in the day when The Onion was local to Madison, WI, they had the best shirts ever. Plain white with one line written across the front in plain black font. I always loved, "Your favorite band sucks." But the best always was and always will be, "You are dumb."
I approve of both of these messages. -

PvP fix build was rolled back...don't waste your time trying to farm these yet.

We were just talking about starting a Ponzi scheme in the Eeebil Marketeers Group, but we figured nobody would go for it. Let me know how it works out for ya tho, I'd be interested to see!

As has been stated multiple times, assuming a conservative drop rate of 1 in 100 (I was getting closer to 1 in 80, but YMMV), and 12 kills per hour, it's gonna take you 8.5 hours per drop. Halve that if you're getting 12 kills per hour per toon.

These are exactly the types of threads for which I wanted to write that guide. Simple economic truths that we could point people at so we didn't have to explain the same stuff over and over.
But as long as Smurphy and Milady's Knight are willing to type the same things over and over, I guess there's no need. -
One of the best ways the devs could increase market efficiency and put flippers out of business is to just SHOW MORE INFO ON PREVIOUS SALES! Seriously, last 5 only? That's retardulous. Eve Online is the extreme opposite end of the spectrum, but it shows every sale for the last 3 months, including daily highs/lows/average. You can change how the info is displayed in several ways and you can change the time frame.
More information = more efficiency. Flippers thrive on knowing the highs and lows of their flipped items and take advantage of people who don't know (or don't care) enough to bid at anything other than the last 5.
Rather than implement some craaaazy new idea limiting resale of items, just fix the market UI to show more price history and I GUARANTEE price fluctuations will smooth out. -
Quote:They're back in, but the patch to fix the drop rate isn't live yet (last I checked). That means if you kill or die within 5 minutes, your timer resets.I havent taken much notice, and may of missed any anncouement/opatch notes. So are the PVP IOs back as drops?
And my understanding of the drop rate is you can get the chane for one to drop every five minutes; but in that 5 minutes time, it doesnt matter if you keep killing/dying, it gets reset at five minutes after last chance for drop?
And can you view rep in the arena? -

I started a new Ebil Campaign on the group page. It will take all of our ebil wiles to pull this one off, but I think we can do it!

I would join, but I'm a casual gamer. Ahh **** it, I'll join!

Quote:These days you can pay $5 for a pre-order and join the "open beta" for two weeks before the game comes out. They usually don't make any drastic changes in the last 2 weeks before launch so you're pretty much playing the same game, you just lose your characters at launch. (And of course, with the preorder, if you do choose to by the game, you get a few days headstart to bring your character back to a respectable level.)I was going to try CO, but the promise offered in issue 16 and GR makes me think I"ll hold off on exploring other venues of entertainment. Although, I don't think anything will keep me from SWtOR when that comes out.
I've found that taking advantage of this new marketing genius has actually helped me SAVE more money than spend. (Thank god for the pre-order open beta of Tabula Rasa!)
I have enough interest to spend $5 on two weeks of slightly buggy play. We'll see where it goes from there... -

<QR> Bored with the game, couldn't bring myself to play this weekend, especially with how packed it was for the 5 minutes I did log on. Looking forward to CO and downloaded DoW2 for half price on Steam this weekend. Darn good game, that!

Quote:AdBlock Plus for Firefox is the win. Besides blocking pretty much every ad on the web automagically, Right-click any image to block it.Ah.
Cursed disabling signatures doesn't let me just disable signature images.
Sorry, Google Chrome, but until you support this (which you never will) I will never switch from FF! -

Quote:Damn, ignore function still doesn't ignore quoted text. Why do you need experts? Just take that puppy right to the devs.
"Dear Mr. Posi, sir. You know those recipes you said were uber rare? I have this idea where they won't be uber rare anymore, and will favor hard core farmers. And I know you <3 hard core farmers."
Let the market forum know how he responds. -

Quote:You can store 100 in the Enhancement Table. Log on alts, have THEM load up WW slots. So now that converting base salvage doesn't count anymore, is crafting and deleting base buffs the only alternative to creating IOs now? For getting the 1000 necessary crafts I mean. It seems like it would take a long time just crafting IOs if you actually wanted to sell them and not take a total loss on them. I'd say it would take at least a month, even logging in multiple times per day to check and reload market slots. For the lazy like myself, that means realistically it would take months to get the accolade with that approach.
