My Characters - Your Arcs
[ QUOTE ]
Angela Starr
Mutation Sonic/Sonic Defender
Angela Starr is a disco diva who lives her life like it is still the 1970s. She is a singer with a fair amount of fame and a voice that kills - literally. She has absolute control of her voice, capable of using it for speech, singing or as a mechanism for defense and offense.
Looking for: Heroic or Neutral arcs, Arcs related to the 1970s, fame, or music, Any large or global threat.
[/ QUOTE ]
I read this and immediately thought of "Death to Disco" by @WrongNumber. She may not light fighting Disco Baddies, but she'll probably feel at home while she's there.
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah. I have a lot of characters.
[/ QUOTE ]
Really? I only see 8.
Sure thing. For your consideration, I offer:
Arc offered to which character?: Silent Spy, Ana Cruz, Extrasensory, Phantoma Storm, Edwin Schmidt, Dr. Amy Byrd, Angela Starr.
Arc Name: This is War, Part I - the Revenge of Hro'Dtohz
Arc ID: 1356
Faction: Rikti
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Acid Zero/DeviousMe
Level Range: 45-50 (though 40+ seems to work fine)
Soloable?: Yes (though team is recommended to spawn more rarely-seen enemies)
Length: 5 missions
Difficulty Level: Medium
Synopsis: Do I really need to say it? Okay. Hro'Dtohz is back, and with a vengeance. This arc takes place after the events of the LGTF (so intended for lvl 45+ characters), and presents no less than an all-out attack on Paragon City by the Lineage of War. I believe this would especially suit Silent Spy or Dr. Amy Byrd for the governmental (UN) and Rikti connections.
Estimated Time to Play: 1-2 hours.
Arc offered to which character?: Extrasensory, Phantoma Storm.
Arc Name: Hunting the Dark Dragon
Arc ID: 2922
Faction: Circle of Thorns, Malta, Space Pirates, [Unknown]
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Acid Zero/DeviousMe
Level Range: 40-50 (though 32+ seems to work fine)
Soloable?: Yes, but team is recommended for final boss
Length: 5 missions
Difficulty Level: Runs the gamut from easy to hard
Synopsis: I created this in response to the many dragon invasion themed arcs I found on test, and decided to give it my own (slightly chaotic) spin by employing dragon concepts from people I know. I like to think this arc takes several things in new directions, and not just with the dragons - it's also up to the player to choose which way this arc ends. I believe this would especially suit Extrasensory since Phantoma seems more focused on Croatoa-related things.
Estimated Time to Play: 1/2 - 1 1/2 hours

Arc offered to which character?: Extrasensory. Magic, myth, and a psionic global threat.
Arc Name: Small Fears
Arc ID: #12285
Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Wall of Knight/TeChameleon
Level Range: 45-50
Soloable?: Qualified yes- bring a good inspiration loadout.
Length: Medium (Three missions, none terribly long)

Something is clawing out of the lost childhood of Paragon. Are you ready to confront the fears of the nursery? (contains EB/AVs)
Estimated Time to Play: 45 minute-hour-ish?

Until you noticed that you had a new message on your service... from Citadel! telling you to visit a certain warehouse in Steel Canyon... (Solo UN-friendly)

Arc offered to which character?: Silent Spy, Edwin Schmidt, or Dr. Amy Byrd
Arc Name: Agent Thunder Taskforce: The Cracked Mirror

Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Ozzie Acane

Soloable?: Highly unlikely
Length: Very Long
Difficulty Level: Hard
Synopsis: Villains from an alternate earth have arrived. They call themselves Wrongbow and their leaders known as the Domination Phalanx don't like our Paragon. Can you stop them?
Estimated Time to Play: Unless you get stuck, should be under 2 hours.
It contains a lot of AVs and EBs.
I suggested it for silent spy because the contact is a government agent, but the story might fit one of the other two characters more.
Oh well might as well throw in mine.
Arc offered to which character?: Extrasensory and Edwin Schmidt
Arc Name: Broken Promises Part 1-Darkness Within

Arc offered to which character?: Silent Spy, Edwin Schmidt
Arc Name: 'Tis Nobler in the Mind
Arc ID: 5260
Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @LaserJesus
Level Range: 46-50
Soloable?: For the most part, yes. Gravity controller might have a bit of a problem with the last mission, but there are allies to help.
Length: 5 missions
Difficulty Level: Moderate to Hard, depending on AT
Synopsis: A man named Mr. Rutherford claiming to be from a classified intelligence agency has evidence of an Arachnos developed hypnosis device, and needs your help to stop their plans for it.
Estimated Time to Play: 30-45 minutes.
Be warned, it's rather reading intensive. A lot of clues to read to get the full story.
Also, this arc's only going to be up until next Sunday, when I will start rotating arcs. Damn my love of making arcs and the severely limited space to put them in!
Arc offered to which character?: Silent Spy (solo or team as preferred) or Dr. Amy Byrd (I'd want a team)
Arc Name: The Empire - One Alliance
Arc ID: 1044
Faction: Council, Malta, Knives
Creator Global/Forum Name: @StratoNexus
Level Range: 41+
Soloable?: Yes. Small, two or three man teams are best though. Larger teams can be tough.
Length: 4 missions

Synopsis: Inter-dimensional warfare. Political intrigue. Ominous alliances. Stop the invasion.

Fighting The Future Trilogy
----------------------
Arc offered to which character?: Silent Spy (Matches "Heroic arcs", "Government contact", and "Any large or global threat".) Edwin Schmidt (Matches "Heroic arcs", "Arcs related to machines, technology" and "Any large or global threat.") Could also work for Extrasensory, Phantoma Storm, Dr. Amy Byrd, Angela Starr, as they are heroes who deal with large or global threats. (And in Dr. Amy Byrd's case, because this is a sci-fi-oriented arc thanks to its focus on robots.)
Arc Name: Rage Within The Machine
Arc ID: 137705
Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Freedom Force / Saul_Invictus
Level Range: Missions 1, 4 and 5 are 1-54. Missions 2 and 3 are 25-54. Recommended for level 30 and up.
Soloable?: Most 30+ characters should be able to solo. Some defender builds may find it tough to solo. No EBs or AVs, but some of the bosses are Robotics Masterminds.
Length: Very Long (5 missions)
Difficulty Level: Medium
Synopsis: A story-oriented arc, with a serious tone. The plot revolves around an uprising of robots across Paragon City, but it's much deeper (I hope! ) than the typical "robot rampage" arc. It's set up as a mystery-- initially you don't know why the robots are attacking, and you'll encounter some red herrings before you finally figure out what's really going on.
Estimated Time to Play: Depends on the build-- a high-level, heavily IO'd scrapper can probably finish in less than 1 hour, while a mid-level defender playing cautiously might take as much as 3 hours. That's assuming you fight every mob you encounter, though. There are no "defeat all" requirements anywhere in the arc, so if you have any sort of stealth powers available, you could ghost through the arc and save a lot of time.
Visit the forum thread for further information. Enjoy!
Arc# 137705: Rage Within The Machine. A mystery in five acts. Robots are rising up and attacking hero and villain alike. Who is responsible? Heroic, Very Long, Story arc, no EBs or AVs, no "defeat all", no Ninjitsu. For level 30 and up.
For: Ana Cruz, Extrasensory, and most especially Phantoma Storm
Arc Name: "Karmic Exchange"
Arc ID: Arc #47550
Length: Very Long (5 missions)
First Published: Um... don't remember.
Morality: Neutral (leaning heroic)
Difficulty: EB in two missions
Description: (I forget the exact description - I'm at work now) Basically, Corpus Rasa is attempting to resurrect his bride and the PC is tasked with -stopping- him from doing so (for reasons that will be spelled out in mission dialog).... final mission is timed 15 minute that presents an ethical CHOICE.
Foes can run up to the max level but the lower level fluctuates a bit from 30 - 45 or so; foes consist of Carnival, Family, Circle of Thorns, Crey and a hodge-podge sprinkling (wandering patrols) of other factions that can go up to 54th level.
The final fight with the EB (who can downgrade to a boss of course) can be tight in fifteen minutes so if you don't think you can dish out the damage fast enough, get help or lower difficulty to villainous/heroic... or, if it doesn't MATTER if you defeat him (villainous/selfish ethical decision made) then it doesn't really matter.
Arc offered to which character?: Phantoma Storm or Extrasensory
Arc Name: Return of the Three Fold King
Arc ID: 163274
Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Stomphoof
Level Range: 1-54, 20+ Recommended
Soloable?: Yes (although the Final Boss is an EB and can give people trouble)
Length: Medium to Long (About an hour total)
Difficulty Level: Medium
Synopsis: Professor John Cramer has put out a call for heroes. He has found the location of a missing Lemurian Artefact and needs the assistance of a real hero to retrieve it. However, this simple mission unearths a much more dangerous event: The Return of the Three Fold King.
Estimated Time to Play: Bout an Hour to Hour and a Half, depending.
This arc is story driven, dealing with strange mystical artifacts and creatures. I hope you enjoy it!
Also, I think this idea is really cool! I may do something similar myself!
[ QUOTE ]
I have several characters in City of Heroes and Villains that I enjoy playing because of their stories. When Mission Architect was announced, I was excited because I could then specify which types of stories I want to play for my variety of characters. So here is a thread to help me navigate which arcs might be fun for my characters. I'll give you descriptions for my characters, then you post your arcs and tell me a little bit about them. If they appeal to me, I'll try them out, rate them, and send you a tell with a review or post it here.
For the 'Looking for', please not that not all of the listings are required, just at least one of them.

Silent Spy
'Natural' Martial Arts/Regeneration Scrapper
Silent Spy, or Jessica Thine, has a natural ability to manipulate the particles of her body in various ways to render her invisible, intangible, and even heal herself from injuries. At an early age, she showed potential to be a great hero and was taken by the Tsoo and trained to become their weapon, picking up a talent in martial arts. Having a natural good will, as an adult she betrayed the Tsoo and began to work with the government to redeem herself.
Looking for: Heroic or Neutral arcs, Tsoo, Government contacts, Any large or global threat
Ana Cruz
Natural Thugs/Traps Mastermind
Ana Cruz is a celebrity who is just famous for being famous. While much of her life is kept public, she keeps some aspects of her life kept extremely private - such as operating the Venezuelan drug and weapons smuggling cartel and the hundreds of murders and crimes that she and her posse had committed in disguise.
Looking for: Villainous or Neutral arcs, Arcs related to fame in any way, theft, identities being exposed, or smuggling. Any large or global threat.
Extrasensory
Magic Psionic Blast/Mental Manipulation Blaster
The life and history of Extrasensory, or Divya Sumeet, is a great mystery, even to her. At twenty two, she has no memories of her life before the age of nineteen. She only knows of her name and her great ability to have supreme mastery of the mind, capable of doing virtually anything. Some say she is a goddess, others claim she is a genie. Extrasensory has been trying to find out just what she is.
Looking for: Heroic or Neutral arcs, Arcs related to spiritual entities/deities/mythology, or magic. Any large or global threat
Glasgow
Natural Dual Blades/Ninjitsu Stalker
Glasgow is a serial killer who leaves his victims with a trademark sign: a glasgow smile, or a cut with his knives through the cheeks, forming a smile from ear to ear. Glasgow loves to kill and is absolutely insane. He has no moral judgment.
Looking for: Villainous arcs, Arcs that are truly villainous and dark and twisted.
Phantoma Storm
Magic Illusion Control/Storm Control Controller
Phantoma Storm, also known as Tabitha Matthews, has been in existence for over 300 years. In the late 1600s, she was correctly accused of being a witch and was hung. However, just before her death, she found a way to spare her life by immortalizing her body and soul through a curse. The curse allows her to die, but after each death she will resurrect with a new personality, switching between heroic, villainous and neutral. In her current life, she is of a neutral alignment, doing whatever she feels best benefits her or the world as a whole.
Looking for: Arcs related to Croatoa, Cabal, magic, witches. Any large or global threat
Edwin Schmidt
Technology Gravity Control/Kinetics Controller
Edwin Schmidt was born in the 1800s and has the ability to have supreme knowledge of anything technological, or the capability to invent anything. He created a pocket watch that functions as a space-time manipulator and traveled to the present-day, where he now resides. He uses the pocket watch to manipulate the space-time continuum to fight off the crime and also travels through time to make sure order is maintained in the time stream.
Looking for: Heroic or Neutral arcs. Arcs related to time travel or machines, technology. Arcs in other times. Any large or global threat.
Dr. Amy Byrd
Science Empathy/Archery Defender
Dr. Amy Byrd is a medical doctor from another planet. She is a doctor of a crew that was traveling the galaxy when they were stopped and captured by Rikti forces and brought aboard their ship, which later crashed in Paragon City. Dr. Amy Byrd was able to escape and has since been working in Paragon City to fight against the Rikti and other criminal groups in hopes to eventually be able to rescue the rest of her crew.
Looking for: Heroic or Neutral arcs. Arcs related to Rikti, space travel, scifi arcs, intergalactic war, other planets. Any large or global threat.
Yeah. I have a lot of characters.

I think only one of your characters would really appreciate "Wicked, Wicked Wonderland" Arc #1224" -- and that would be Ana Cruz.
If Ana likes to rub shoulders with the rich and famous, she would run into Alice, The White Rabbit, TweedleDee and Tweedledum, The Queen of Hearts - and find a few secrets to expose along the way.
To a lesser extent ExtraSensory, might enjoy the magic involved in this arc ... and to an even lesser extent some of your other magic-based characters. (It's Wonderland magic, not hocus-pocus magic!)
It was created by me, AncientSpirit, and its designed for characters level 1-50, good or evil (or with a strong streak of both inside them.) It's got 3 missions to it - is listed as Medium in length - and takes a good 30-40 minutes to play. All the characters are custom made, and everything is clickable and good for at least a snide comment or two.
The thought of your MM's gang of thugs taking on the gangs of Wonderland (The "Not Playing with a Full Deck" gang, and "The Broken Hearts), IS amusing, though.
So, if you decide to go for it. Have fun -- and let me know what happened when your gangs met my gangs.
I'm not sure if using the CoT really qualifies for your specifications. This is the only arc that I have that is magic based so I figured I'd throw it out there, just in case you might be interested. My aim with arcs is to create a story, not a 'killer mission' that tries to kill your chars. There are no surprise EB/AVs or anything like that. My other arcs don't seem to be a fit for any of your specs, so this one will have to suffice. I hope you'll give it a try and if you like it, maybe you'll try my others with the custom enemy group that I created.
Arc offered to which character?: Silent Spy (possibly) or Extrasensory
Arc Name: Deal with the Devil's Pawn
Arc ID: 113615
Faction: Circle of Thorns
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Alari Azure/Telstar
Level Range: 5-54
Soloable?: Most of my toons are magic tanks/dual blade set on 'heroic' and they can solo. I'm not sure how that translates to your char types since I have to solo and usually stick to tanks. I have also done this on my katana/scrapper without too much trouble. Insps may help other types.
Length: 1 mission-medium map
Difficulty Level: I tried not to make any of my arcs over the top hard, so the boss actually shows as a lieutenant to my toons.
Synopsis: The Devil's Pawn is a CoT mage that has stolen a little known ancient scroll (Lucifer's Scroll) that contains a spell that would cause people to be possessed by Lucifer himself. He plans on using it on the people of Paragon City in order to take it over. You must recover the scroll and defeat the Devil's Pawn before he can translate that scroll.
Estimated Time to Play: 1/2 hour, tops, depending on solo/group

Arc offered to which character?: Edwin Schmidt
Arc Name: Ashley Porter and the Gorilla War
Arc ID: 130809
Faction: Uzbek Lowland Gorillas, Abwehr Section 2, the Blackhorse Squadron, and the Red Army! Plus a mystery villain!
Creator Global/Forum Name: suedenim
Level Range: Intended for any
Soloable?: Should be. There's an EB in the final mission.
Length: 4 missions, none especially long.
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate. If you're clever, you can get various warring factions to fight each other and make your job easier. Last mission intended to be challenging, but not ludicrously so.
Synopsis:
An adaptation of the classic 1938 film Ashley Porter and the Gorilla War (see also: Ashley Porter Diamond Anniversary Special.)
Ashley Porter, the famed Western heroine, has stabled her trusty black mare, Shadow, for the duration of the war, as she leads an all-girl aviation commando team, the Blackhorse Squadron. And "Lady Blackhorse" needs your help, because the Uzbek Lowland Gorillas are revolting!
(No, no, not like the fellas in the Spanish Civil War. The big primates.)
All-out military action in the classic Ashley Porter style, featuring the Blackhorse Squadron, the sinister Germans of Abwehr Section 2, the Red Army, and Uzbek Gorilla Partisans!
Arc offered to which character?: Ana Cruz
Arc Name: Females for Hire
Arc ID: 110723
Faction: Females for Hire, Knives of Artemis
Creator Global/Forum Name: suedenim
Soloable?: Yes
Length: 3 Missions
Difficulty Level: Moderate - no Elite Bosses or AVs
Synopsis:
What you see is what you get... with Females for Hire!
Meet Paragon City's fastest-growing all-girl, all-stereotype mercenary group. Studies have shown that over 95% of all mercenary hiring managers are men... so Females for Hire consciously plays to male stereotypes of "action girl" operatives, while maintaining top-notch professionalism.
You're playing with fire... with Females for Hire! From Independent International Pictures. Rated PG.
Fun new custom group, a bit of mystery, a bit of humor, a bit of romance. Very loosely inspired by this wonderfully cheesy radio ad for a '70s B-Movie.

@Acid Zero
Arc 2922
Writing & Originality: *****/5
The writing and concept of the story was original and put out well. No complaints. Five stars.
Customization & Missions: *****/5
The maps were well selected, plenty of unique maps to keep a variety. Good usage of character dialogue, especially the helpful hint from a patrol group referring to the southeast warehouse, which directed me to the door in that area of the map. The dragon characters were well designed and had unique personalities. Five stars.
Fun & Difficulty: ****/5
The arc was fun and engaging, The custom enemies in this group were a little tough, however. Minions with henchmen are frustrating and difficult, perhaps changing them to lieutenants or something less frequent may cause less deaths. Also, the final mission was rough with the surprise ambush and spawn of the Elite Boss. It all came at once pretty unexpectantly. Surprises are good, but the enemies already have the element of surprise as an advantage against the player. The Elite Boss and the ambush of Space Pirates was too much. I was soloing and it was reccomended to bring a team, so in total: Four stars.
Overall: *****/5
Great arc, but a little difficult for solo play. I did the arc on Extrasensory, a Lv50 Psionic Blast/Mental Manipulation Blaster. She had a lot of difficulties with the robotic enemies and all the holds/stuns. Despite its difficulty, its still a five-star worthy arc, any touch ups are purely optional and would only need to be made for characters who intend to solo and are not the most resilient.
50s: Silent Spy - MA/Regen Scrapper | Tinkerhell - SS/Inv Brute | Extrasensory - Psi/Men Blaster | Ana Cruz - DP/PD Corruptor | Sara Thunderbird - Elec/Elec Scrapper | Pinstrike - Spines/SR Scrapper | Cold Feet - Cold/Cold Blaster

Arc offered to which character?: Any
Arc Name: Of Dice and Dens
Arc ID: 151634
Faction: Custom Group
Creator Global/Forum Name: Dionon
Level Range: All
Soloable?: Far as I know. Be careful at the entrance of the third mission though...
Length: Very Long
Difficulty Level: I'd say out of 10... 7
Synopsis: When the roleplayers of Paragon City go missing, and creatures of iconic lore come to life, is this a magical invasion, or another villain attempting his hand at World domination?
This has a touch of tounge in cheek (more in the descriptions of the creatures, and the theme of the arc as a whole), but the remainder is just good comic book storytelling. Part 1 of a Trilogy when I get finished (my PC kinda sux when the MA comes up...)
Estimated Time to Play: Never really timed it, but I'd say between 1-2 hours grand total... If it's more, let me know.
neat idea.
I hope my arcs can help add to your character's stories.
Arc offered to which character?: Extrasensory
why? Involves deities/magic, heroic, large threat
Might also work for Phantoma Storm, as there is some impact on Croatoa (tangentially)

Difficulty Level: Above average to hard, but not extreme
Synopsis: An ancient greek artifact falls into the hands of the Knives of Artemis, and soon, goddesses of old may walk the earth.
Estimated Time to Play: about an hour
------------------------------------------------------
Arc offered to which character?: Silent Spy or Angela Star
why? Heroic arc. Good for character development, as develops a rivalry with a villain. Arc premised on being asked by PPD / authorities to help with an incident that should be "below you" but things get interesting from there.
