Difficulty Level: Probably Hard, due to the bosses
Synopsis: A mutant supremacy group aquires the knowledge and the know-how to build a gun-type atomic device, using two radiation-based metahumans as components! Uncover their plans and track them down, or Paragon City could be reduced to a nuclear crater.

Suceed and the heroes keep their powers. Fail, and Recluse will overtake Paragon City.

By the way, I changed my handle from Baron_Rufus to DarthGM. So, you now owe DarthGM a reveiw. =]

I ran "Celebrity Kidnapping" last night, and hope to run "Axis and Allies" this weekend sometime.
Okay, for humor value alone, "Celebrity Kidnapping" was a nice little jaunt. 3 missions, small maps, no "Surprise! It's an AV!" at the end; well done.
Very interesting power set on your "ally" for two of the missions. It actually worked well with the Tanker I brought.
I hate ambushes. I really, really do. Especially when they just happen to spawn on top of me when I take out the last of the group that triggers them. If I were a blaster or a defender, I might not have been able to handle the spawn. Even so, it did make sense, and story reasons are a good reason to have them, even if I don't like them.
I gave it a very solid 4 Stars. I like the story, I like the map sizes, I hate the ambush, I had a good time, I'd suggest it to my friends.

I'm game. I'll try your missions tonight!
Here's mine, when you have a chance...
Arc Name: Little Boy Legacy
Arc ID: 59608
Creator Global/Forum Name: @DarthGM
Length: Very Long (barely)
Difficulty Level: Not sure of any rating on this, but there's the potential for 4 Elite Bosses and one Arch-Villain. They have spawned as bosses with only 1-3 heroes on normal difficulty
Synopsis: A trio of seemingly unrelated events may spell doom and atomic destruction for Paragon City, and heralds the arrival of a new group of mutant supremacists.
Estimated Time to Play: 1-2 hours
Recommended Level: Best level range is 30+ -

(Quick Reply)
Just to clear up:
No, we're not discussing any changes to Shivan's or the Warburg Nukes at this time. Shivan's are easier to get than anticipated, but even that is not likely to be changed in the near future. My original post was meant to show that we knew how these powers were being used -- and that is all.

but you are making the transformers MMO right, that Optimus slip was an unintentional leak of info yes?

So, I'm guessing no-one's noticed this lying around?
You see the oddest things in the Sharkhead Isles Docks...
If that's not a slip...
Just sayin'...

NAME: The Sentinel Guard
WEBSITE: http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.asp...p;TabID=472405
LEADER: Saturn Five
CONTACT: Website Application
"Guard The World"
BACKSTORY: In an effort to curtail the growing threat of villainous organizations operating in the United States, Striga Isle, and Rogue Isles, the Department of Super-human Affairs and the United Nations Security Council have sanctioned the creation of a Super-Human Strike Force. Code-named "The Sentinel Guard", this team of heroes trains in Paragon City, honing their abilities to be able to respond to the multitude of threats across the globe.
After a period of one year, Project Sentinel Guard has been heralded as a success, at least enough of one to put into active duty. UN Resolution 313 was ratified, and the Sentinel Guard is now active to respond to Metahuman and "non-conventional threats" to any member of the United Nations. The rulers of a nation need only invoke "Code: Sentinel" and their request reviewed by the Security Council. If their request is approved, the Sentinel Guard is activated and sent in.
Due to the Rogue Isles' status as a member of the United Nations, the Sentinel Guard is not authorized to operate within the Isles' borders unless implicitly requested by the recognized sovereign ruler, Lord Recluse. However, there are rumors from the shadows of Mercy Island, Port Oaks, and the other Isles of super-beings bearing the Guard's chess-knight insignia. Colonel Dunne, head of the Guard project, vehemently denies the existence of the so-called "Sentinel Black" team.
CURRENT RP: The Sentinel Guard has been activated for duty on US soil, thanks to the new Arachnos presence in Faultline. The Guard's base has been refurbished and new Guard agents are being requested to help combat the Arachnos invasion.
APPLICATIONS AND THEME: The Sentinel Guard is a meta-human task force under the command of the United Nations Security Council. The Guard draws from members from all nationalities, from all walks of life. Many of the Guardsmen have served in some form of their nations' military, but an equal number of "Freelance Specialists" have been employed by the Guard to fill needed roles in their organization.
Above all, your Hero needs to be able to work reasonably well with the other players. We are a mild-roleplaying super group, which is to say if you like constant angst and melodrama, we're not the team for you. Our team is more suited to witty banter, mild dramatics, and engaging interaction while beating up the villainous organizations within the City of Heroes universe. This is an overall generalization, as many of our players have different styles and interests in Roleplaying.
Characters should be serious in concept to be a member of the Guard, and willing to work within a multi-government bureaucracy (although you're not required to like it!) Joke characters are discouraged, as are loners, crazy or insane heroes, and psychopaths.
Please check out the other information links in the "Super-Group Information" table on our homepage to see what our standing rules are.
To apply, make a membership in GuildPortal and post your "Transfer Request" in the appropriate forum on the Forum page.
INSPIRATION: Stormwatch (DC/Wildstorm), Checkmate (DC Comics)
COV INVOLVEMENT: There is a black-ops version of the Sentinel Guard, dubbed Sentinel Black. They are an un-sanctioned and secret branch of the Guard, made up of agents and operatives who are determined to destabilize the Rogue Isles; the greatest threat to peace the free-world has ever known. They will live up to the Guard's motto of "Guard the World", no matter who they have to kill to do it. -

If you were a special case (say you were Warren Ellis, and you wanted to make Spider Jerusalem in the game, and you contacted Cryptic, and they gave you the nod), it might work out (and there would probably be lawyers or at least some serious paperwork involved). But those instances are nebulous and so few and far between, it's not worth risking.
cheers,

...and I'd like to thank you for the mental image of a scrawny, bald, tattoo-covered brute running around Aeon City, beating up the Luddites screaming "Read my $@^#ing scripture!"

Exactly. Make the level difference part of the rp. I'm always being asked for "pointers" in teams with a level difference. Even "Hey buddy, can you meet us in Crey's Folly?" can be rp'd easily.
"You want me to come to Crey's Folley? Wow...City Hall hasn't authorized me for operations in there. As a matter of fact, since they rate my SecLevel at 16, they think I should stay out of Astoria too...I can hit Baumton and Overbrook though!"
Promotions, higher clearance; call it what you will. Work with the mechanics, it's actually pretty easy. -
The forces of evil and the threats to the saftey of Paragon City are everywhere. Heroes are rushing from every state, nation, and even dimension to help stem the tide of villains flooding the boroughs of this city. Unorganized and by ourselves, we may not be able to meet the challenge posed by these threats. Even the heralded Freedom Phalanx's resources are reaching it's limit.
Divided, we fall.
Together, we can stand.
Allied, we can win.
The Freedom Phalanx, Storm Knights (local 23), and Hero Corps have formed the "Alliance of Champions". We invite all heroes who wish to stand with us to meet with us this weekend so we can trade information, stories, capabilities, and oaths to keep this city, world, and reality safe. Stand with us, and we will prevail.
We will be meeting any available parties interested in such an alliance near the Park-structure at the Skyway city entrance in Eastgate at 7pm on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th. We will welcome individual heroes and whole teams to this alliance.
OOC: Greetings! This is an announcement for the "Alliance of Champions" Superhero-alliance. This is a Global-chat group for Role-players on the Champion server. Once "Global Chat" is up and running with Issue #3, we'll be able to coordinate the alliance properly. You don't have to join one of the Supergroups in the Alliance, but Team, Supergroup, and Global chat are to be considered "In-Game", so we'll be keeping the out of game chat out of those channels, or at least to a minimum.
In short, we're a bunch of Role-Players, trying to locate other fun, great role-players to fight crime and game with. If you're interested, stop by on the dates listed or send Baron Rufus or Stateswoman an email in-game. -
