Didn't you know? They're going to introduce a new form of salvage used only for crafting base items. They're going to do it as another time sink for people to invest in to create their base items.

They'll call it something innovative... like.... "Base Salvage"

That would never work though. People would be too confused.

Hmmmm.... good point. Perhaps they could include some kind of reference to them in some kind of tutorial or something. Maybe it could explain how crafting items works. Perhaps something you could do at level 10, when you're eligible to start a SG. They could teach it as a class at the universities!

Naw, that would be too difficult to program in. You'd have to do too much core programming, since nothing like that currently exists in the game.

You're right, and it's not like we're paying them hundreds of dollars in total as some sort of monthly subscription so they can add fundamental additions to the game rather than diddle around adding new pants and badges every few months.

Oh wait...

Just bring back the old base salvage already!

where r u gonna put it?

salvage racks holding 30 items doesnt strike me as getting things done.

I have a great idea! lets stick the devs in here!

I have to say I agree with Azrhiaz, I also gave up on bases... Why would they worry about fixing something that 3/4 of the people out there "think" is broken? All the whinners on champion server do is pull out their same ole crap... "lol, base raiding" They firmly believe it was still bugged.
I as leader of P.o.N Have taken part in over 200 base raids, and have not experienced a single "bug" since maybe around i8 or i9. Yet the haters continue to hate.
As a group, P.o.N misses base raiding badly. With a member base that excedes most sg's (we have 6 divisions, with 425 members throughout) We would on a WEEKLY basis set up raids against ourselves, division vs division if we could not find a raid against an outside sg. We loved it... always had a blast.
I have begged and begged, and I will say it all again....

PLEASE BRING BACK THE C.O.P. TRIAL.... BUT ABOVE ALL ELSE, AT LEAST GIVE US BACK OUR BASE RAIDING!!!!

They are also going to add a special reward that you can get from doing SG Mission Computer Missions called "Group Tickets".

SGs can then cash in 150 Group Tickets for a Tech Material.

Its true!

No I'm sure you're far from the only one. Getting rid of base salvage has made me incredibly happy. I've crafted 5 times as many base items in the few months since it was replaced as I had in the 2 or 3 years since bases and base salvage were introduced. Its nice only having to find 3 - 5 items to craft something instead of 15 - 100. Not to mention you then had to get the right combinations of them to turn around and make the pieces to make another combination. Invention salvage is just so much easier to gather.

I wouldn't however mind if they brought back the middle man style of salvage for empowerments. That is the only thing that I think suffered from the change to invention salvage.

Base love? What's that? I'm not surprised at all if nothing is done in them for i15. Sorry to be negative, but I've kinda given up.

What would NOT surprise me is when their supposed Base Raid "fix" goes live, there'll be HUGE changes and the majority of people won't be happy about 'em. Just my prediction.

I still don't see what harm there is is in throwing in a few decorative items into the base editor. Sheesh. C'mon, pleeease?

This is what really gripes me. Yes, I love some of the big stuff we've gotten this past year (the ITF rocks) but it seems to me that a few little things sprinkled here and there would be really nice and not take up a ton of time.

More decorations

More wall/floor/ceiling patterns

More mission maps

Other numerous little cool things that have been suggested over and over.

As far as I'm concerned we already have the cadillac of hero games. Now all I want in a better cd player and some bucket seats.

What we as base builders need is a liason.

Someone that can directly answer all of our base related queries.

I've said it b4 and I still believe it now,

I'm willing to bet around the time we get a custom map/spawn point maker for MA is the time we'll also get a shiny new base builder.

Unbroken for you does not necessarily mean unbroken for all, but thanks for trying, Bud. I participated in several base raids with a couple of different SGs that I'm a member of (couple of times against one of your groups), and the majority of the time, it was less than fun, mainly due to the lagfest in the base, and the predictability of the entry points. You guys had an organized system. Great. You had several divisions with which to use for raids. Great again. But your experience is far from the norm. You made the best with a deficient system, but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be fixed.
