MA Mondays!

Lately, it seems that a lot of people are having difficulties either getting their arcs played or receiving feedback, or both. Therefore, I've been thinking of starting a weekly night of teaming with the specific purpose of playing through and giving feedback to some of the MA authors here on Champion. It should be a great way to earn tickets/badges, to give arcs more exposure, and to tackle some of those arcs that are difficult to do solo.

Starting next Monday, April 27th at 7:30 pm EST, I will be forming a team/teams to start reviewing arcs, starting in RWZ (so that villains can be included as well.) If several people show up, we'll form several teams and get more arcs reviewed at once.

If you would like your arc reviewed, please post the arc ID here in this thread and I will work through them in order. It would be great if some of the authors could also be present during the teaming to receive feedback as we work through the arcs.

Also let me know if you are interested in attending or willing to lead a team so I have an idea of how many people to expect. Hope to see you there!

This is a great idea.

Arc Name: Canine War!
Arc ID: 74097
Length: 3 Missions
Morality: Heroic
Enemy Groups: Canidae Lupus (custom), Blood Fur (custom)Canidae Vulpes (custom), Mercenaries (custom), Banished Pantheon, Circle of Thorns
Difficulty: While featuring lots of canines, dont expect too much smash and lethal. Tactics have been upgraded and the wolves get very strong in large packs. Challenge level 1 is a good workout, but damage resiliant heroes and villians can push it quite far. In large groups, higher challenge settings are not recommended as some stacking mez becomes really annoying.
Estimated Time: Anywhere from 15mins to about an hour depending on your abilities.
Description: The wolves have long since held the top spot on the food chain but a recent discovery has planted the seeds of rebellion in thier cousins' mind. Can you help the foxes throw off the oppressive rule or will the wolf always be top dog?

(Author's Note: 99.99% file size. I had to remove about a half dozen customs and some added events to shoe horn all the required elements into the arc. Some of the clues may seem a little light on text, but I had to strip everything down to bare minimums.)

I don't wish to hijack this thread, but why are people having difficulty finding people to play their arcs? Don't you have super groups to run them? For example, tonight the Pillars of Might will be running MY mission that I created for my group. Last week we played Darc Ranger's. Are there that many regular members here on the forum that can't get a group to run their arcs?

Let me throw this out there, and not to take away from the original purpose of this thread:

If YOU are a creative person who loves the new addition to this game, but have difficultly finding mates to run it with you, the WE want you in our SG. The Pillars of Might are a great bunch of people who are looking for other creative and fun folks to play with! Look me up ingame, on forum or goto our guildportal site. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Now back to the original purpose of the thread.

This is a fantastic idea Amygdala, yes supergroups help, but most people are in small sg's, i cannot help monday nights i am working 3-11pm for the next while, but i run teams on a regular bases and have started a top 20 list on our website guildportal.com searchword ALL-OUT-WAR. So if you want good missions to run check the website. We look for good themes and playability, we run solo and 8 ppl teams through to make sure it is good for different levels and size of teams. I will check here in this thread for others who want testing, glad you started this thread! Netminder i will be running a team through your mission this week, you are now on our list

With the way the MA is set up it's rather hard to find arcs by people on Champion unless you know their global. So I think it's a great idea to get together and see what Champ has cooked up in the MA

That's a nice gesture, Dinah, but if we're calling ourselves the Community server, we shouldn't have to all be in the same SG to support each other. That is why all the different chat channels were created, or so I thought. All I do to find MA arcs to run is just go down the member list and see if they've published anything. Or I ask a particular person if I suspect that they've created something with some personality.

Search by global names that you know are from Champion. You'll hit a bunch of people that way. And a few of them will hit yours.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Event added to the BMT MOTD and the Champion MA MOTD.
And to highlight on this, I'm playin' with the idea that if there's a really polished and great MArc that the team comes across, I'm goin' to add it to the MA MOTD to start gettin' some advertisement out there.

You want a fast paced MA that is soloable and team friendly try Illict Affair (ID 39278) it has 5 AV's and 2 EB's and can be run in under an hour, 5 missions, high level heroes needed. It is part of a trilogy, there is a reason for the AV's being where they are! For Comedy try Comedy Series 1 (ID 8779), there really is a Cow Level, 2 missions, 1 AV, part of a Comedy Trilogy due to custom characters taking a lot of memory, made for any level of hero.
HAVE FUN THAT IS AN ORDER

Name: The Descender
ID: 33034
Morality: Villainous. If your not comfortable with world domination, steer clear.
Length: Very Long, around an hour to two hours, depending on team makeup and build.
Difficulty: Moderate. Plenty of AV's, but plenty of help with them. One of the few arcs that is actually easier solo, due to the difference between AV's and EB's. (And it makes a better story solo)
Groups: Coralax, Arachnos, Circle of Thorns, Custom Group (The Virtea)
Mission 1: Unique cave map. Collection , battle, patrol.
Mission 2: Small Oranbega map. Collection , Boss , defensible objects.
Mission 3: Unique cave map. AV's (2 of them) , Ally (3 boss class) , Allied patrol, Battle.
Mission 4: Unique outdoor map. AV's (3 of them) , Ally (Elite boss class) , battles (Just shy of a HUNDRED of them!).
Mission 5: Unique Arachnos map. Collection (times five, each one spawns an AV) , AV's (five of them),Ally (EB class), Allied Patrols.

I'm going to try it and see how it goes. If it proves to be difficult to find people on Mondays, then I might consider switching days. However, just about anyone can participate, both heroes and villains, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get together a team of people.

There are two types (More or less) of super groups. First, you have the ones like Pillars of Might, and then you have the ones like my SG, a two man group consisting of Demon_Keeper and myself.

Sounds like an awesome idea. I can try to make it

If you ever want some of those badges for earning stars from people playing your arc (living legend requires 25,000 stars I think) Then you can't get that from just your SG. This is a great idea

It's probably too late for this, but that's what I get for not being on the forums much of late.

83814 - The Vahzilok Gamble. 4 missions, no kill-alls until mission 4. 1 to 54 for missions 1,2, and 4 against custom group, with a 15-20 mission in mission 3 with Vahzilok and custom group. 2 AVs; 1 in Mission 3, and 1 in mission 4. Boss level ally in missions 3 and 4 to assist solo players. Story and clue focused.

124796 - A Night at the Opera. 5 missions, with no kill-alls. Glowie hunt in mission 3. Mission levels are 41 to 54 in all missions. Malta in missions 1, 2, 3, 4 with custom group in missions 2 and 5. 1 AV in mission 5. Very soloable, actually. Also story and clue focused.

Edited for additional content.
