29973 The Running of the Bulls

This one is humorous, but there is a story to it as well. So be sure to read all the clues. And bring a pitchfork.

... a BIG pitchfork.

Ooopsies. I had posted these to the I-14 Directory at the top of the forum channel...

Arc ID: 329428
Title: Inglorious Blasterds
Levels: 40-50
Length: Very Long (5 Missions, 2 Defeat Alls, AV on final mission)
Buggy: Probably. I tested it as much as I could but still... Anything out of place, please let me know!
Villains: Those Wacky Nacht ahem the 5th Column
Summary: My name is Witty Librarian and I'm putting together a special team, and I need me eight heroes. Eight cape-wearing heroes. Now, y'all might've heard rumors about the armada happening soon. Well, we'll be leaving a little earlier. We're gonna be dropped into Faultline, dressed as civilians. And once we're in enemy territory, as a bushwhacking guerrilla army, we're gonna be doing one thing and one thing only... defeating Nacht. Now, I'm the direct descendant of Patrick Macgruder. That means I got a little Librarian in me. And our battle plan will be that of a Librarian resistance. We will be cruel to the 5th Column, and through our cruelty they will know who we are. And they will find the evidence of our cruelty in the dangling, knock-backed, and disfigured bodies of their brothers we leave behind us. And the 5th Column won't not be able to help themselves but to imagine the cruelty their brothers endured at our hands, and our rocket boots, and the edge of our broad swords. And the 5th Column will be sickened by us, and the 5th Column will talk about us, and the 5th Column will fear us. And when the 5th Column closes their eyes at night and they're tortured by their subconscious for the evil they have done, it will be with thoughts of us they are tortured with. Sound good?
The Blasterds: YES, SIR!
Witty: That's what I like to hear. But I got a word of warning for all you would-be warriors. When you join my command, you take on debt. A debt you owe me personally. Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Nacht scalps. (dramatic pause) And I want my scalps.

My 3rd installment in the 4-part Library Restoration arc:

Arc ID: 331736
Villains: Circle of Thorns, Banished Pantheon, Custom
Length: Very Long - 5 mission
Difficulty: Hard. Missions contain bosses, rescue captives, 1 Defeat All, and last mission with AV
Levels: first four mission are 25-30, last mission levels 40-45
Summary: Troy Viator has called you in to attempt another search of the abandoned Dark Astoria branch library. Like everywhere in that zone, the people were... taken... but the objects remained. Except for the library books that were cleaned out. Troy wants you to dig harder for any piece of evidence that can lead to that library's recovery. Instead, you uncover clues that can lead you back to the very day that Astoria fell into darkness!

This mission arc will most likely be buggy, mispelled, etc. Please note anything that needs troubleshooting.

Thanks to everyone who came out tonight!

I just want to say that next week will be my last MA Monday. I'm in the last year of my program and exams are picking up rapidly, and I'll have to dedicate more time to that. It also seems that the production of new arcs has slowed down since i14, so it might be a good time to stop the event unless people are still interested. In any case, I won't be available after next week.

Thanks for the great run all. We'll kick off next Monday with Witty's arcs. See you then!

I ran this one a long time ago. It is hilarious and some parts can only be the work of a deranged and evil man. Needless to say it deserved a 5 star.

Amygdala was going away. Nobody knew why Amy was going; nobody knew where Amy was going; indeed, nobody even knew why they knew Amy was going away. But somehow or other everybody in the Mission Architect building felt it was happening at last.

Definitely still interested in MA Monday! Maybe if people aren't producing enough arcs then we could just do the dev choice ones for a while? Anyway this has been my favorite event ever and I have to say thanks for all the wonderful and helpful advice people have given me about my arcs and also for making such fun arcs to play.

Here's another one of mine if anybody shows up next Monday or whatever.

Title: Fusionette Must Die!
Arc ID: 335253
Author: @Razor Vein
Morality: Villanious
Enemy Groups: Crey, Carnies, Reflections, Vanguard Sword, Longbow
Length: Very Long - 5 Missions
Summary: Basically you have to try to kill Fusionette while every hero & villain in Paragon City/Rogue Isles is out to beat you to the punch, with the usual twists and turns thrown in. Lots of named heroes and villains to fight ranging from around level 9 all the way up to 50+ but only a few EBs/AVs and even those aren't required to complete the missions. Does contain one "hidden" custom mob.

I take it this event has fallen by the wayside?

I was planning to start a new character in January and only run AE missions until 50. I'd like to run all the Dev Choice missions, Guest Author missions, and contest winners. I'd be happy to run missions written by Championites too.

If I'm on and running AE missions at a regular time, like Mondays from 9-11 pm Eastern, are there folks who would like to join me?

This sounds interesting. I've been soloing my new MM up using mostly a few farming missions I created in the AE. The tickets are good, as is the xp, but soloing does get to be boring after a while.
I have an idea for a plants/storm controller I want to try out.
Were you thinking of making this a static team, or just a whenever you happen to be on thing?

Global is @honcho
On Champion
Living Coal LV 50 Fire/Fire Tank
Nature Boy LV 41 Earth/Kin Cont
Great Wacko LV 34 Robot/FF MM
plus many alts

I was thinking I would do it at a regular time, and whoever wanted to show up was welcome to. I have an idea for an SS/WP tank, so I can solo if I have to.

I'd be up for some AE action, if this starts again.

Amygdala had to let this one go, as she does a lot in-game already and real life placed time limitations. Too bad too, as it was fun- even if the turnout was going down a bit. It was nice to have a place to go over arcs, give feed back while authors were on, and run some genuine stories. The AE is fun, but it's got a lot of dross you run into if you don't know what you're choosing.

True story. I enjoyed this event but eventually had to cut back to focus on school.

However, today is my last exam! School as I've known it to be, classes and exams, will be over for good. Next term for me involves rotations, so my schedule will be quite different, and I imagine I might be able to pick up a few events come January, this one included.

I'm also looking at running more Hami raids, so I have a few ideas for the new year. I'll keep you folks posted.

Also, if peterpeter wants to pick this up, by all means. I'll list it in the Champion MA channel if you'd like. Just let me know.

I know what you mean. I expect to have a sudden influx of free time come January as well. I'm not sure what's involved in "running" the event. I can certainly show up consistently and shout in a few channels to put together a team. But if you'd like to pick it back up, then I'm happy to defer to you. One way or another, I'd like to get back into the AE next month.

The way MA Mondays used to work was that Champion players would post their arc IDs in this tread, and I'd go through them in order of posts. So running the event more or less consisted of keeping track of the arcs each week and posting the arc numbers in the Champion MA channel, and forming teams.

I originally started it when AE first came out and there was a large number of people on Champion who had made arcs but couldn't get them played for the feedback they wanted by enough people. So that's why several teams of people would run through them in order each week.

However, we noticed a steady decline of arcs being submitted as the event went on. For this reason, I think if we decide to start it back up, we may want to focus on a mix of arcs, some from Champion, some dev's choice arcs, like you suggested. I won't be picking it up until January, if at all, so if you'd like to get it started again and revamp the parameters of the event to make it more flexible or suited to what you're willing to do, I have no problem with that.
