Panacea: Chance for Healing
Here's what Synapse himself sent back to me regarding this proc. He says slotting the proc into my Serum on my crab spider would be beneficial to me. I don't know though, especially since Serum isn't an auto power like say Health is. He also said that powers such as Healing Aura, Fast Healing, and Integration, would be ideal places to put this proc. I think, if I understood whether or not those 3 powers are either A. auto, or B. like in the case of Serum, where you have to activate it, maybe I could figure out where this particular proc will do me some good. As of right now, Health and Serum are my only choices. The only reason Serum is a tempting spot, is that I would get the 6% to heal. But, since it's a "chance of" power, I just can't help but feel like the proc would be wasted if I put it into Serum, due to the fact that the "chance of" part would only be valid if and when I hit Serum. Anyways, here's what he sent back to me in regards to this proc:

This was a very poorly worded patch not that quite frankly should have been omitted. It was only intended for beta. The way this enhancement works is fairly simple. In PvE zones it has a chance to trigger a +hit points and +endurance effect. In a PvP zone it will trigger a +regen and +recovery effect. This is done so that it does not trigger healing suppression in pvp zones.

Absolutely. You're also the target of powers like Health and Fast Healing.

This is for the target of the power this enhancement is slotted in. If you slot it in a power that targets yourself like Healing Aura, Health, Fast Healing, Rise to the Challenge, etc. It will affect you. If you slot it in a power that affects other players it will instead affect them.
This enhancement can be invaluable in my own opinion. It can be slotted into a power like health to give you a tick of healing every so often.

Slotting into Serum would not be wise, IMO, as it would only try to proc when you activate Serum and Serum has such a long recharge.
Best place would be Health, or Aid Self (if you take the Medicine pool).
Health is undoubtedly the best place to stick this proc (or Fast Healing if you're a Regen or WP). However the lookup table it uses to determine the heal number is wonky compared to normal heals, so it always heals for a fixed number of HP, regardless of your AT's base HP (I believe it heals for 65HP at level 50).

It looks like it uses Melee_Heal table, as it gives ticks of 79 HP on my friend's Dominator. Defenders will benefit the most, at around 90 HP per tick, and Soldiers of Arachnos the least, at around 54 HP per tick.
Still though I'll take 54 HP per tick any day over 0 54 HP per tick vs. Impending Dirt Nap. 54 HP per FTW

[/ QUOTE ]It will be beneficial in Serum. Unless you need that 6th set bonus badly, it will be more beneficial in Health.
In Serum, it has a chance to grant you +HP and +End whenever you use Serum. (One chance approximately every 180s, depending on your slotting)
In Health, it has a chance to grant you +HP and +End every 10s.

[/ QUOTE ]Healing Aura would be a pretty good place for the proc (if you had Healing Aura, that is). There would be a chance to heal and grant endurance to yourself and everyone you hit with HA whenever you fire it (base rech of 8s) on top of HA's normal heal. So if you spam it, you'd be doing better than putting it in Health for yourself, and you'd also be benefiting people you team with.
Of course, they may get annoyed at you spamming HA, but whatever

I have this slotted on my level 50 blaster. He's getting 65hp a tic in PvE.
Here's something unusual I did notice though. I had my combat tab open and was watching to get a sense how often the hp+ was firing off, and it seems to only fire off when *NOT* in combat. Not what I was looking for but an interesting discovery. This was over several TF's and AE missions in PvE.
Meanwhile, the end+ piece fires off regularly, combat or no.
Any one else noticed this? Is the hp+ supposed to work this way or do we have any info detailing it?

There's nothing in the info on Red Tomax's site that suggests it has a restriction like that, but however RT gets his info, it's always possible that some aspects of an effect/power might not display, or that he might have incomplete info on them.
It's the first I'd heard of that possible behavior, though.

Strange, I hadn't heard of this.. brb testing on test since I'm way too cheap to slot this thing myself on live.
EDIT: Stood in the middle of some possessed scientists and let them beat on me and it still triggered. Seems to be just you.

I've got a Panacea: Chance for +HP/+End on my Tanker and it works just fine both in and out of combat. I'll even get healed multiple times during a fight if the fight lasts long enough (e.g. like when up against an AV).

Unless my maths are off it's the weakest of the uniques that give +end or +recovery. If you figure the recovery equivalent of the +end proc averaged over time it's rather poor. It only gets worse as you get +end accolades and/or set bonuses. IMO you slot this thing primarily for the +heal, not for the +end. Not that the end isn't nice, but if that's what you need any of the other uniques can do you better, and cheaper too.
Its also 2 procs, in that sometime the heal goes off sometimes the end, sometimes both, but its not guarenteed to give you both end and HP.
I want one of these now!
