3 section staff is hard an the shoulders and arms. Plus multi hinged weapons have a good chance for self injury. 9 section chain whip put the fear of god in me.

Yeah, I know, I own one. Just using a practice one (that is, one not made of metal) left me with a couple bruises. They are scary as hell, but they are the weapon suited to my body type, so I need to learn them for my black belt.
(It's in Southern style Kung Fu, for anyone who cares)

I'm on my second knee operation so my blackbelt has been waiting for a few years now. I really like the chain whip, its just that if you screw up you can lose an eye, tooth or kill yourself. at the moment i'm just happy to be walking. once I have that down i'll consider finishing off my blackbelt in the external program and moving to the internal program

Is that where you learn how to kill people with a kamehameha?

Once I dealt with my overheating problems, I had a great run on Team Kong. I had no idea that many of the Pain Dom heals end up buffing the caster's damage! They even made Share Pain attractive!

11 is looking like the target level. Any teams hit 12?

Apparently my computer likes to have a visuals driver just stop working every couple hours while playing on a team. So I disconned a couple times and missed getting bank robbery missions and the contact. Gonna have to catch up on contacts later.

Pain Doms been out for almost 6 months... and you are just learning about the buff from Share Pain the buff from the rez is insane.

I have never felt brute-ish on the half dozen or so stalkers I have rolled and subsequently deleted. Until now, Elec/EA is cool, the animation for assassin strike starts out almost like the DB crouched down and "charging up" that not really the cool part, its the finish after he punches he jerks his arm back and holds it up ala Mortal Kombat style.

My two main groups: Isos and ViV were blue side for most of that time.

Well, sorry for not rolling characters with every single new powerset the instant they're released Scooter.

It's not like you would notice it on teams, since only the caster gets the buff an they're not so big as to be immediately noticeable.

I didn't mean it to be insulting, seriously, I just thought that all of the Isolators were those players that had an understanding of all aspects of the game. I was surprised to discover this to be a false assumption.

It's not like there's an entrance exam for the Isolators or anything. We take anybody who is willing to show up once a week to play their character.

A few people made it to 12...I did. Had fun, think this widow will be lots of fun.

True, well I guess much like MG i have learned something new.

Again I apologize if my post seemed insulting or what-ever. I was just surprised.

If it's to or about Mental, no need to apologize.

Ever.

I've already forgotten about most of you

The rodent decreed that 12 was the target level last night... I think most were spread in the 10-12 range when I last looked. Might work on getting a Cap contact and getting to level 12 so I can have an Enforcer next week.

Blech, Pain Dom is kind of weak for MMs... it'll be nice to hit SO range and be able to heal a decent amount (almost half for Sooth, almost a quarter for Nullify). I know I'm used to the Defender Empathy, but if Mid's is right, even Empathy on Controllers blows MM's healing ability out of the water, which feels a little wonky. Is it because of the pets? Damage buffs in Pain Dom? Or what.

Was frustrating to be tossing heals around and not seeing the green bars go up much (and seeing my blue bar get hit hard), especially since Des tried to make himself as popular as possible last night. Hopefully it'll get better, there. Having fun with the dual wield pistols at least.

GP, if you want to team up during the coming week I'd be down for that, I think I ended up at 10 with no contacts, so I'll boost myself up to 11.5 or 12, if you want company. I recall Dominators not being as fun solo as in a team.

Fun story: Team Des was doing fantastic until Masque joined. Then we wiped in like 8 seconds.

I usually play on Saturday night, starting around 7-7:30 Central (depending on how RL things go), so I'd be up for running with Gunnerist for a bit if that works for you. I need a couple of missions at least before I can get a Mayhem and new contact in Cap, I know.

Maybe because Empathy is a primary and Pain Dom is a secondary?

Plus, everyone knows the devs hate villains so their powers suck!

Posted

You'll note that I referenced Controller Empathy, which is also a secondary. Hence my curiousity.
