And thus, on "Respec Day," I find a quiet building-top in Atlas Park and go to work.

[newb question] What all can you change with a respec, anyhow? [/newb question]

[/ QUOTE ]

Considering the standing room only in the AP AECorp building on Test, I moved every single character (that wasn't level 1 or 2) out of Atlas Park, just to avoid the moshpit and lag fest.

Yes, if you use the one that is unclaimed (provided it is not one of your vet ones that you clicked on in the badge window and never used) you will get another with I14.

[/ QUOTE ]

Vet respecs cannot be used via /respec...you have to go to Jack Wolfe in Galaxy City to use a Vet respec.

[/ QUOTE ]

Remember when you first created the character? Right after you chose your powersets? That's where you are when you respec. Your powersets are the same, but you get to "level up" to your current level one step at a time. You can choose your powers and enhancement slots anew.

Oh, but before you start choosing powers, they "unlock" and set aside the enhancements you have slotted. After you've chosen your powers and slots, you can reslot any of your enhancements you want. Any that you don't want, they will buy them back at their full normal price when you're done.

[/ QUOTE ]

And as an additional reminder...selling back Hamidon Enhancements do NOT pay anything.

I accidently sold back my 7 (orginal) HOs on my blaster one time during a respec (I-8 I think), it almost made me cry.

I'm not sure why people constantly cry, "moar respecs!" I've used maybe two total on my main, mostly due to powers I picked up later in my career proving so effective I wanted them at lower levels for TFs and other situations where I would be exemplared. However, in three years playing this game, I've built up quite a supply of spare respecs (currently 5 including vet and freespecs), and typically don't see a need for them. I've got my build, I'm happy with it, and if I changed it up now it would only mess up my play style.

But, if you really need more of these things all the time, enjoy the game in your own way.

and even if you are level 1 or 2 you can move your toon out of Atlas Park and move them to Galaxy City......

Having gone and read up on when the issues were released I realized that the post I placed about the last issue bing released on a friday was incorrect (with the help of the kind folks on here of course), I saw that the releases drop Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday......

The whole issue about wanting multiple free respecs is this, how many of us have their toons set up for secondary builds? I have my main toon set up for a secondary build however I rarely switch over to it. So I think it is more than fair for them to be giving one respec. Just remember they dont have to give any at all.

I'm glad we're getting a free respec, but it surprises me. I didn't think there were significant power changes that would lead folks to desire a respec.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's become a tradition so to speak

also...my Widow needs one BAD

Then by all means we MUST have a freespec.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Heh, heh, heh... I guess they got tired of giving out two freespecs with the last couple issues, and the mountain of complaints they got along with them.

[/ QUOTE ]

With Dual Builds, it SHOULD be two respecs. Might need to do both your builds, eh?

[/ QUOTE ]
QFE. What say you, devs?

[/ QUOTE ]

Totally.

I also want a pony. And two hundred dollars. In sequential bills. And a banana split on a silver platter.

As I understand it, you can only respec 1 build at a time per toon would that be correct?

Example: I have a toon that I have the primary Build 1 and secondary Build 2. Let's say I messed up Build 2 (like I did with my Blaster by not getting Hasten) and want to Respec that Build. Am I only allowed to change that one Build or does a new respec allow you to change "both" Builds on that toon? I ask as I heard different answers to this question.

One respec will only respec one build. If you want to respec both builds, you'd need 2 respecs.

Good! I'm about to hit 50 on my Scrapper, and I really need one. A little surprising though, most power changes were PvP if I remember correctly.

Syrusb is right. Be thankful your getting 1 at all. There was a time when the respec missions where harder. There was no such thing as a respec recipe. Vet rewards weren't out yet. You couldn't even buy them real money at the time even if you wanted to. So you was limited to 3 respecs for the life of your toon. Even with duel builds there are plenty of ways to get a respec with literaly little to no effort now a days.
