Essentially if you're decent at PVP you have some chance. If you suck at PVP you have zero chance, as a 5 minute "rep" timer turns on for both the killer and the victim the moment someone dies and it resets each time the victim dies or the killer kills someone.
So in a 10 minute span when you die an average of 3-5 times per arena match you haver zero chance of netting anything unless you somehow get the first kill. And even then your chance is as remote as it was in I14.

I think you misunderstand how a rep timer works. A rep timer is only between two specific people. If A kills B and gets rep, A can still kill C a second later and get rep. However, A and B will have to wait the 5 minutes before they can get rep again from each other.

I think you misunderstand how many times I end up face down a$$ up in an arena match. 
I spend at least 1 minute of an entire match respawning. Add that up.

Joined this a few weeks back, and although I had forgotten to switch from my pve to pvp build prior to the matches, i still enjoyed it. But this time so i know before hand (and in the spirit of the other pvprinciples thread i started...):
Whats the vent info again?
Are we allowed to talk freely? I was expecting more "kill, kill, slaughter, die! why don't you die!....omg, i hate you all!" at the very least, but all i got was calm pleasant demeanors. Where is the rage? The caffeine overdosed squeals of fury from the pvp4life! squad? The gloating?
Kill-stealing? I think i did a couple of times but I couldnt be sure, I auto-assisted the person we designated as the guy calling but in the frenzy I just went after Mohica..err, my nearest target.

Vent info will be given out at the event. I hestitate to post it on an open forum. The pics were for a PERC event, this is PvPEC, so sorry not transferable 
. BTW you cannot auto assist in pvp, as targetting through someone else does not work.
As far as talking on vent, you are allowed to talk freely as long as you talk respectfully. Playfully jeering is fine, but if it gets into mean or nasty, action will be taken. Most of the people who jumpon vent are very good natured and just like to have fun, so you will have to bring the caffiene overdose :P.

Think there is any interest of doing a PvP night on a weekend? I could host one maybe.
Even if I'm not sure which weekends I am able to be online,but it woulden't be hard to start some kickballs or some such if there is atleast some core people who feels like doing some weekend PvPing.
I'm hosting a casual arena night this coming saturday Sept 12th probably will make a seperate thread about it since noone has posted in this one for 2 years

I read it as PvP IO drops are no longer going to happen in the arena..
