So...how do these work? Is this Arena or one of the PvP zones? I'm new to the game (highest character is level 14) and while I may not wind up a PvP regular, I am curious. While a class project with the MA brought me to the game, I'm trying to experience a little bit of everything.
Im sure Masque,MP or Peril can answer this better, but from the numerous times i have gone it was in the arena with 2,4,6 and 8 person teams (depending on how many ppl show up). then once in a while there will be a free for all(FFA) and those are always fun. Your best bet isto try and level up some more and make it to one of the events. Sometimes the PvPEC host lower level arena nights too.

Thanks Chaos, that was very well answered. Usually for arena nights, the fights are super heavy weight (level 47-50). We have everyone on one map and make teams accordingly. Sometimes we vary it up a bit. This month will be hosting "Through the Ages" which will have contestants fighting at various levels.
If people are interested in a lower level event, I will try to host one next month.

When you say "this month" do you mean May (which would be tonight) or June (starting next week)?

Really good fights out there! We had a couple of newbies show up which was awesome! I have now opened up the PVPEC vent for any fight nights. I think that being able to chat during and between matches helped the event. If anyone has anything they'd specifically like to see, please feel free to PM me.

Great fight night!
However, I do have one complaint. My hoverblasting was not working as well as usual, nor was my kill-stealing, wait-and-snipe approach. It seems that jump-meleeing and -fly/slamslamslam has become my bane.
I will let it pass this time, but I hope you work on fixing these problems and oversights right away, and I can get back to my "leetwinnery".
(Just practicing my trashtalk. Clearly, I need the practice. )

Bummer, sorry I missed it - I am swamped with work. Will try for next week.
However, I did have a break yesterday and spent a short bit in RV in the afternoon, first time well over a year. There were a number of players going at it and had a lot of fun.
This is tonight!!! Ventrilio will be available for anyone who would like to chat. I will be there early to answer any questions anyone has about new pvp rules (post i13). Just remember, you are totally free to switch characters during fight night if you would like to. Most fights will be at level 50.
If there is interest expressed to me, I will run a round at a lower level. This is just for fun and maybe a chance to get a pvp recipe. I look forward to a big turn out!

Good fun lastnight, we keep getting more people on vent which is always fun.
We even had 4 pvp recipes drop (I think). I got a strike chance for smashing which was a nice bonus.
Good fun last night. Dang Masque your widow is hard to hit. I was laughing at my miss, miss, miss at you while you were slashing me down to the ground.
Just a quick question, but are there ever any zone events? I understand Arena and controlling powers, teams, quick respawn, etc. But wondered what a big massive fight in a zone like RV would be like.
I would so go to that.

Did this change nights? Because if it was last night for Masque, this would have been Monday...also, sad I missed it, Pang and I need to bust out our Victory toons.
