The Official Guardian Hamidon Raid Thread
Crud. Going by the dates of your posts I was thinking the regular raids were on Thursday night, but now that I pay attention to what I'm reading, I see they are on Wednesday nights.
(Sometimes, I wish there could be a Dev thumbs up button for quality posts, because you pretty much nailed it.) -- Ghost Falcon
Thanks to everyone who came out for the raid tonight. We had a looong spawn tonight, as well as some late arrivals that caused some delays (getting them on appropriate teams). But despite the delays, we still completed Hami in 43 minutes.
Thanks to the support folks on my team, as always, as well as my team leaders: Golden Rays, Amadaeus Muse, Maligne, Kerithrion, and Ms. Meltdown.
Hope to see you there next week!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the raid last night. We had a reasonable spawn time, and then took Hami down in a very crisp 32 minutes....and with only 38 people. Outstanding work by everyone involved.
Special thanks as always to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders: Kerithrion, Justice Maker, Maligne, Ms. Meltdown, and Fake 'n Bake. Kudos for a very smoothly run raid!
With the announcement that i17 will go live next Wednesday, we will not be raiding. So get out and enjoy that new shiny stuff, and we'll see you in two weeks!

Just so everyone is in the loop, along with i17 has come a bug that currently prevents a successful Hamidon raid. The green mitos have a bug (which also shows up in the LGTF version of the mito) that makes them virtually impossible to take down. They are either impossible to hold (despite having the same numbers for protection and resistance as in previous issues) or continue to have 90% resistance to everything and an incredibly high regen rate even after they are held.
Our guild has bugged this en masse, and I'm hoping that everyone else will do so as well--whether you encounter it in the Hive/Abyss or in the LGTF. I'll post when there is a resolution, but until then, there will be no raids.
Devs, a little help please...

Despite saying that he would have the problem fixed early this week, the fact that yesterday's patch notes did NOT include a fix to the green mito bug indicates that Castle has not gotten around to it as of yet. Therefore, there will be no raid tonight.
Tune in here for updates as they become available.

Green Mito's in the Lady Grey Task Force keeping their Healing Aura despite being held, and some critters retaining Hide when damaged. |
Sorry for the delayed responce on this... We believe that this should be the fix for Hamidon Green Mito's as well. That said The Twilight Avengers will once again be hosting our weekly Hamidon raid tonight at 9:30est. Hope to see you all there again!

Thanks to everyone who came out this evening. We were short on numbers (did most of the raid with 39 folks), and the team make-up wasn't quite what we usually hope to see, but we still managed to take Hami down in 40 minutes after a quick spawn.
Special thanks as always to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders: X43, Kiddygrade, Mind Trick, Sausage toes, and Grim Maligne.
Hope to see you all next week!

I know that you host Blue Side Hami Raids, but have you ever considered doing Red Side?
The reason I'm asking is because I've decided on my WP/DM brute to be my red badger, and I found out that there is an exploration badge down where Hami is in the Abyss. I would like to try to do a Red Side Hami Raid, even if that badge was not there, but I don't know how to lead a raid.

First, our guild has its villains on the Pinnacle server, and we lead redside public raids over there. When Going Rogue hits, this may change, but nothing has been decided on that score as of yet.
Second, the exploration badge is under the water in the center of the crater where Hami spawns in the Abyss whether you spawn and defeat Hami or not, so there's nothing to prevent you from getting it even if you can't raid.
Last, there have been a number of folks who have expressed an interest in a redside Hami raid on these forums previously, but I believe they ran into a lack of interest/numbers. You may want to look at some of the older threads on the subject and get in touch with those folks to see if you can coordinate something with them.
If you decide to try to organize one, the villain strategy our guild uses to run public raids on the Pinnacle server is listed on those forums in a thread called "The Twilight Avengers Villaind Hamidon Raid Strategy", and is a modification of the blueside one we use on Guardian. If you have questions about it, feel free to give me a yell.
Hope that helps!

Due to PC problems stemming from i17 not playing nice with my GPU I haven't been in game much, but doing a Villain Hami is still something that I and my coalition would love to get done. So unless someone else wants to take up the mantle before I can get my problems sorted out, I'll see about trying another one in the near future.
Well, thanks for your responses, Wulfman and Pyber.
I'm not sure if I'm ready to take on the task of leading a redside Hami Raid. I would probably need to join in on the blueside to get some more practice. I have 3 scrappers, 1 tanker, 1 emp defender, 1 grav/kin troller, 1 fire blaster, and 1 warshade, all at 50, to contribute for that.
Mebbe when GR goes live, there might be an interest for that. Unless we end up having a Preatorian Hami Raid......

Of all the times for the server to crash! Last bloom!
It appears to be all the west-coast servers, though, so it may be their main switch, rather than the server farm.

I say Ironic lol >.< well **** happens
Thanks to everyone who showed up for the Hami raid last night, both before and after the server drop. I know a number of folks went through the first three waves and then left when the servers didn't immediately come back up. To those folks, I'm sorry you missed out on the rest of the raid and the reward, and hope you'll come back and participate again next week.
To the folks who hung around and were able to finish the last wave when the servers came back up, well done. We didn't have the numbers or the team set-ups anywhere close to what they had been, but we were able to go through that last wave fairly easily. A part of the reason was that we also got some help from a few folks who hadn't been able to get into the Hive earlier, filling in for a few folks that couldn't or didn't return. So thanks to those folks for stepping up as well.
To those of you who were experiencing their first post-i9 Hami raid last night--and I know there were a few--don't judge the raiding experience from last night's run. Those kinds of things rarely happen, and we're usually done well before 11 p.m. eastern.
The ironic thing is that, including JUST the time that we were actually taking Hami down (and not the server downtime), the raid was only about 35 minutes or so.
Thanks to my team leaders (Grim Maligne, Sausage Toes, DESTROIKA, Madame Veronica, Celtic Apparition, and Sleight of Hand) throughout the raid, as well as the support folks on my team. Outstanding work as always!
Hope to see everyone again next week....and that the server will wait until we're completely done this time!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the raid last night. We had a lot of damage, and after a reasonable spawn were able to drop Hami in 31 minutes. Gratz to Sleight of Hand who got the kill shot on Hami and picked up somewhere in the 30-60 mil range in rewards.
As always, thanks to the support folks on my team, along with my team leaders: Kiddygrade, Celtic Apparition, Sausage Toes, Justice Maker, SpiderJerusalem, and Kerithrion.
See you next week...and yes, we still start at 9:30, though the crowd starts showing up at least 15 minutes early, and many times the zone is full (or close to it) by then.
