The Official Guardian Hamidon Raid Thread

Well, as you may have noticed, I didn't make it back at all. There were some complications with my son, who is still in the hospital, and I simply wasn't able to make it back.

I would like to thank all of those who patiently waited for me, and a very special thanks to my guildmates (specifically Heavenly-Healer and Kiddygrade), who knew how important it was to me not to let the community down, and who stepped up to lead a successful raid in my absence. You are why I'm proud to lead the Twilight Avengers.

If all goes as expected, I do anticipate a return next week. Thanks again.

It roughly took us 2 hours to finish off Hammie but it was fun all around! ^_^

It was a lot of fun. My first and I can't wait to do it again next week! Thanks to your team for still running it in your absence Wulf, they kept it fun.

Many thanks to everyone who showed up to smack Hami last night. We were able to take him down in about 50 minutes, despite a number of new folks, some lag issues, and a long spawn. My apologies for the raid going past 11 eastern, but with the random spawn rate, it is somewhat out of our control.

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the jell-o goodness last night. We had a fairly quick spawn, and were then able to drop him in 45 minutes despite having some new folks and some new team leaders as well.

Ive been out of the game for a while and just starting to hit it hard again. Ive not been in on a raid in a loong time...I had been making a ill/rad troller for raids and have one at 43. Are they still useful ? Should I go on and level him up or has changes made them useless. I would be thankful for any info! Thanks for your time. : )

Once again, the Guardian server showed up and took care of the jell-O in an efficient 37 minutes. This is a bit more impressive when you realize that the Hive was NOT full, and never showed more than 45 in the zone.

And in the manner that Guardian has come to expect, we turned in another 37 minute raid tonight. We had a long spawn time, but everyone was ready to go when the jell-o finally showed his face....or whatever that was.

Thanks to everyone who came out to help me celebrate my 40th birthday with some jell-o tonight. We had a long spawn, but then a solid 43-minute raid.

As always, thanks to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders: Golden Tower, Uriah, Ascended Avenger, Grim Maligne, and Nuclear Target.

I had planned to give a surprise present to Guardian to celebrate my birthday, and offered to run a second Hami raid tonight following the conclusion of the first. Unfortunately, the combination of the long spawn and the Halloween event meant that we didn't have enough folks to get the second raid going. I know there is some interest in that (or simply in a later raid at some point), so I may well run back-to-back raids in the near future if we get a quicker spawn and there are enough folks on willing to participate. More to come...

Very nice work tonight, folks. We had a full Hive with nearly 100% participation, which always leads to good things happening. We had a longer spawn, but then dropped Hami in a very efficient 34 minutes.

Very beautiful raid tonight, folks. We started with only 41 people and ended with only a couple more than that. Despite the fact that we had lower total numbers--and quite low numbers on the melee damage team--we blew Hami apart in a very brisk 32 minutes.

And yet another outstanding raid by the folks on the Guardian server. We had a full Hive so we were able to start taking down DE right at 9:30, had a fairly quick spawn for a change (8-10 min), and then a very smooth 33 minute raid.

Unfortunately, I am down with a combination of the flu and an upper respiratory infection. I'm on meds, and will hopefully be back and at it soon. However, I will NOT be able to make the raid tonight.

There will undoubtedly be folks who show up in the Hive, so I expect you could get it done successfully. As such, the raid is NOT cancelled, and I'll trust that leaders will step up to get the job done.

Kiddygrade led the Hami raid tonight and did a great job. There were a few hitches, but everything shook down in our favor and Celtic Druid got the final hit on the great big blob, which netted him more than 10 Mil in influence. Thanks to the Beard Brigade for offering the 1 Mil initially, which started others tossing in more offers.

I was heading up the scrapper team under the guise of Dark Elf Cuisinart.

Awesome performance by Kiddygrade and the other team leaders! You were missed, Wulf, but we did save some Jell-O for you!

And Kiddy fell down and went boom.

I even got to taunt the big grape mento while Kiddy was taking her nap!

Thanks to all who came out to have some jell-o on Thanksgiving Eve! Not only did we have a good turnout for so close to the holiday, but we were going so smoothly that we actually attempted taking Hami down without defeating the last wave of mitos. We didn't quite get it done (got him to less than 7K), but were able to reset and still complete the last wave for an overall raid time of 35 minutes.
