The Official Guardian Hamidon Raid Thread
Well, the power is restored, so unless there are emergencies arising from the storm (ie. burst pipes, spoiled food, tree damage, etc.) I should be there.

Thanks to everyone who came out to raid. Tonight, we did what, to my knowledge, has not been done anywhere else in the game without using Nuke shortcuts--we took Hami down in less than 30 minutes (29, to be exact, from entry to reward).
Outstanding work from everyone involved, and special thanks to Grim Maligne, Noish-Pa, Sausage Toes, Street Stalker, Malice Intent, and the combo of Terra Cotta Warrior and Medevac Jack for the outstanding leadership. You all make this success possible.
Well done, Guardian!

Slag Heap: Why you hurt Guardian!? Guardian no hurt you!
Thanks again to the folks who came out tonight. We had a long spawn time (nearly 35 minutes), and we had a number of folks switch to other toons and do things they hadn't done before, and we still took him down in 50 minutes.
Thanks to my team leaders (Magenta Graves, Blade Temptress, Grim Maligne, Sausage Toes, and Artemis Styx), along with a big thank you to those new taunting tankers and empaths, all of whom did an OUTSTANDING job. Salute!

*cookies to wulf for leading us* hope to see you for next one :P
Unfortunatley, I am suffering from a migraine tonight, and don't have the focus necessary to lead the raid. If someone else wants to step up, I encourage everyone to give him or her your full support.
I'll be back next week, April 1st, for the raid....no foolin'!!

Thanks to the folks who came out tonight. The numbers were slow in arriving tonight, so we were a little later getting started. But once we did, Hami went down in an efficient 43 minutes.
Special thanks to my team leaders: Nemo, Goddess Apocolypse, Donnie Danes, Make Believe Hero, Sausage Toes, and Bud Ice.
I will be present to lead the raid next week, April 8th, barring anything unexpected. However, I will then be absent for the remaining 3 weeks in April. I will be out of town on the 15th, and then will be having surgery on the 22nd, and likely won't be recuperated enough by the 29th. By May, I expect to be back to full strength. If someone would like to plan to lead a raid one of those weeks, feel free to contact me here or in-game for the macros I use along with any tips you might want to help out.
Hope to see you next week!

Thanks, Vixen! I have the best possible situation....a doctor who's had the same surgery and knows how bad the recovery pain is. So I have no doubt he'll give me the good stuff!

The recovery is going well, if slower than I had hoped. Unfortunately, the tear that had to be repaired was substantially bigger than expected, so my incision (and my recovery) is somewhat longer than expected as well.
As such, I won't be leading a raid tonight. However, I anticipate being back to full enough strength that next week, May 13th, we will have some jell-o. Hope to see you all there!

I unno.. on Justice there are multiple raid leaders.. same for Virtue.
Glad your recovery is progressing well and you are getting better. If people were that worried about hami someone else would step up in your absence and lead.
You be safe and don't come back til everything is better!! Don't worry over silly hami... lawl Get better,Wulf. Don't worry over silliness they will keep the cookies warm here. Your health is number 1 priority.
I had some trouble logging in last night, but did make it only to find that we didn't have enough folks to raid (only had 28 or so a full 15 minutes after scheduled start time). As such, rather than kill another 15 minutes trying to coerce people to show up, it was cancelled.
I'm hoping that this is a result of not raiding regularly over the last month or so, and that folks will show up next week.
As for having multiple raid leaders, the problem seems to be that the Guardian public, in general, won't listen to others who try to lead the raid. I know of at least two folks who tried it, and the result was less than successful, at least in part, because folks who showed up didn't follow the designated raid leader the same way they usually do me.
Not quite sure of the reason for it aside from my experience as a raid leader, but if I can get some volunteers, I'll train a few folks to lead it while I'm present to make sure it runs smoothly. That way, if I'm not around, at least the folks who are leading will be known folks who have lead successful raids in the past.
Any takers?

i would have liked to try it BUT my nights off at work have changed and now i am off sat and sun so i will not be able to hami anymore oh well best of luck to all
Well, last week we bounced back nicely with a solid raid, and I'm hoping for a good turnout again tonight. Plan to be in the Hive a little early, as it fills up very rapidly. We'll start taking down DE as soon as we have enough folks and know we have the pieces in place necessary for a successful raid.
For those of you who haven't come out to try this yet, make the effort. With cooperation (which I get from nearly everyone at this point), we are taking Hami down in 30-45 minutes, based on specific team make-up, so even including spawn it's usually not more than an hour.
Start time is 9:30 EST. Hope to see you there!

Nice work tonight, folks! Once again, I had outstanding team leadership by Grim Maligne, 2BeOrNot2Be, Kiddygrade, Street Stalker, and Sausagetoes, and we took down the jell-o in a very efficient 35 minutes.
Outstanding work to everyone involved, and shame on you to the few who remained hidden and uncooperative only to "steal" a hit for something you didn't earn. Next time, either unhide and help or get out of the zone so others can get in.

Thanks for the fun folks. If it's like this every week then I have time right before work to join in again. I only stay away because 11pm is my cut off pony but tonight we were suitably under that.

I don't know when you were referring to exactly. There were a couple of attempts that weren't very successful for one reason or another when I was sick or out of town, so perhaps that's why I don't remember any such unusual occurrence.
I do know that no public raid I've led (to my recollection) has gone later than 11 EST. If I estimate that it won't be done before then (and I can usually hit it pretty closely), I won't even start it.

Nice work again tonight, folks. We had full teams and were ready to start spawning Hami on schedule, had a full Hive shortly thereafter, and took Hami down in a very efficient 32 minutes. Nice job by my team leaders, as always (Terra Cotta Warrior, Grim Maligne, Lady Bellacose, Ariel', and La De Da).
I will not be present to lead a raid next week, as I will be out of town. If anyone would like to take the reins, feel free to contact me for my macros or input prior to that time. I am planning to be back and leading in two weeks.
Hope to see you then!

Ok, so I don't know if anyone is taking over for Wulf this week, but Shadow will be there shortly just in case.
Wulf is out of town this week so he will not be there on June 17th to lead the Hami raid.

Hey Wulf, since you are the person to see about Hami on Guardian, I was wondering if it would be possible to put together a villain side raid in the near future. There was an attempt at one the other day, but it was short notice, and not enough people were available. And while it was amusing to see an army of MM pets try and make into the Jell-O mound, it wasn't very useful, heh.
Even if you aren't available to take on a villain raid, perhaps you'd be willing to give me some help with getting one going sometime soon. I've done some poking around for interest in it, and it seems it should be doable, with enough notice and someone with the skills to lead it.
I'd be much obliged if you'd lend a hand, or point me in the right direction. Thanks much!

Unfortunately, it will be difficult for me to help directly, since our guild has its villains on the Pinnacle server.
However, we are working on a villain-side modification of this hero strat that we will then be using to host some raids on that server in the near future. I will post that strat/guide on the Pinnacle server forum site, and you are welcome to use it as you see fit.
If you have questions about overall coordination, I'll be glad to chat with you about it. You'll also want Vixen to announce it in the Level 50 channel in advance.
As for this week, I am still hoping to be there to run the raid. But I am one oif the thousands that are without power on the East Coast atm, and may not have it restored in time. I will be there if it's humanly possible.
