The Official Guardian Hamidon Raid Thread
Thanks again to all of those who came out last night for another successful Hami run. It was a very long spawn (around 40 minutes), so we actually finished a little after 11 EST. My apologies for running over, although we did end up with a solid 41-minute raid despite some different team make-ups.
As always, special thanks to the support folks on my team, along with the team leaders: Clan Lass, Street Stalker, Golden Rays, Kiddygrade, and Grim Maligne. Outstanding work, as usual!
Hope to see you all next week!

Just a note that, despite the Winter Event being live, we WILL be raiding the Hamidon tonight, assuming we have enough people show up.
So take a break from the snowman and come get some jell-o!

However, there will be folks from my guild there to lead, so the raid is still on, assuming there is enough interest with the Winter Event going on. If I can get enough relief with the pain meds, I'll try to make it. Otherwise, I'll see you all for my last raid of 2009 next week.

Well, I took a fall this afternoon. And, although I was able to get up, I banged my knee and twisted my back rather badly. As such, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to sit up at the desk to raid this evening.

"But in our enthusiasm, we could not resist a radical overhaul of the system, in which all of its major weaknesses have been exposed, analyzed, and replaced with new weaknesses."
-- Bruce Leverett, Register Allocation in Optimizing Compilers
You did a good job resolving it, though; aside from the green mitos taking longer to go down than I'd seen previously, everything progressed smoothly after we reformed.

Glad things went well, and I'm hoping to be recuperated and ready to raid next week!

Thanks to all of those who came out for a holiday version of the Hamidon raid. We had an incredibly long spawn, but then took down the jell-o in a solid 40 minutes.
As always, special thanks to the support toons on my team, as well as my team leaders: Kiddygrade, Grm Maligne, Overlord Jack, Nuclear Target, and Street Stalker. Outstanding work, as always.
I will not be leading a raid next week, as I will be traveling for the holidays. I will, however, be back to take down the jell-o for the first time in 2010 on Jan 6th.
Have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Thanks to everyone who came out on Wednesday for the first public raid of the new decade. We had a slow-arriving crowd, followed by a reasonable spawn time and an efficient 39-minute raid.
Special thanks as always to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders: Justice Maker, Grim Maligne, Kiddygrade, Street Stalker, and Nuclear Target.
Hope to see you all next week!

Thanks to everyone for coming out this evening. We were able to tie the public raid record of 29 minutes after a reasonable spawn time, due in large part to everyone focusing and doing their jobs.
As always, special thanks to the support folks on my team, as well as my team leaders: Golden Rays, Angel Fish CHB, La De Da, Kiddygrade, FB Reborn, and Nuclear Target.

Thanks to those who came out to participate in the raid tonight. The raid went fairly smoothly, although a little longer than normal. This was primarily because of a few individuals who evidently aren't big enough to play nice with others, and insisted on doing their own thing on their own team despite repeated requests to work on the existing teams to best serve the strat. This has happened at several raids in a row now, and by the same person or two each time. This is sad considering it works against the whole concept of a public raid.
In spite of their lack of cooperation, however, we still managed a 45 minute raid. Thanks as always to my support folks, along with the team leaders: Grim Maligne, Lady Bellicose, Kiddygrade, Justice Maker, and Nuclear Target.
I will not be available to lead the raid next week, so I will see you in two!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the raid last night. We had a resonable spawn time, and then a very efficient 32 minute raid despite having more blasters participate than at any time in recent memory. We also didn't have those persons show up who have been uncooperative in recent weeks, so that made things work a lot more smoothly.
Special thanks as always to my spectacular support folks, as well as to my team leaders: Dark Emperor Magnus, Street Stalker, Golden Rays, Grim Maligne, Kiddygrade, and Nuclear Target. Without you guys, this wouldn't be possible!
Congratulations go out to a number of folks who raided for the first time last night. We hope to see them, and you, next week!

Thanks to those who showed up to have some jell-o this evening. Despite once again having to deal with some of the same folks who refuse to cooperate with the rest of the group, and having to go through some extraordinary measures to get some folks tp'd and rezzed at the midway point, we toughed it out and took Hami down in 45 minutes.
As always, special thanks to my support team, along with my team leaders: Danger Close, Kiddygrade, Celtic Apparition, Grim Maligne, and Justice Maker.
Hope to see you all next week!

Thanks to everyone who came out tonight. We were able to start taking down DE a little early, had a reasonable spawn time, and then set a new public non-nuke raiding record with a crisp 28-minute raid.
This was due primarily to the fantastic work by the support folks on my team, as well as my team leaders: Kiddygrade, Anheuser the Bold, Golden Rays, Celtic Apparition, and Grim Maligne. You guys make it not only easier to lead these raids, but proud to bear the mantle of Guild Leader for the Twilight Avengers.
Hope to see everyone there next week!

Thanks to everyone who came out and participated this evening. Despite having to deal with some folks who had to run their own team, rather than follow the strat like everyone else, we were still able to take Hami down in a very efficient 35 minutes. There were also a few first-timers along, so gratz to you for your first Hami raid!

Thanks to those who came out and participated in the Hami raid this evening. Despite once again having to deal with a few folks who just can't play well with others, we had a fairly quick spawn and then an efficient 33-minute raid.
Thanks to Zandrea, who had to be my sole support toon for the evening, as well as my team leaders: DESTROIKA, Ms. Meltdown, Golden Rays, Kiddygrade, and Celtic Dragon.

Since next week is St. Patrick's Day, we're "Going Green". So for next week's Hami raid, I'm inviting everyone to show up with a green costume of some kind. If we can't have green beer, we'll wear green as we get our Jell-o shots.
Please do bear in mind that capes, wings, auras, and trenchcoats add to the lag that everyone has to deal with, so please do your best NOT to include these elements in your costumes. Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came out for a special "Going Green" version of our weekly Hami raid in honor of St. Patty's Day. In celebration of the event, the Twilight Avengers gave 120 mil in influence to the person with the Hami kill shot. How appropriate that it turned out to be someone on a toon named Seamus O'Morgan!
Thanks as always to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders: Golden Tower, Vorador, Ms. Meltdown, Flambouyant, FBReborn, and Sausage Toes.
See you next week for our regular, non-green, raid!

Thanks to everyone for coming out for the raid last night. We had a longer spawn, but then a very efficient 33-minute raid.
Special thanks as always to the support folks on my team, in addition to the team leaders: Ascended Avenger, Maligne, Atomic Noise, Golden Rays, and Celtic Apparition.
Neither I nor any other members of the Twilight Avengers will be available to lead the raid next week, as we'll be leading a public raid on Pinnacle server (redside). So if someone else would like to step up, go for it!
See you in two weeks!

And thanks again to all of those who came out to take down Hami tonight. We had a very crisp 29 minute raid, in no small part to people knowing their jobs and sticking to the task at hand.
