Will you be running multiple runs back-to-back after i19? So everyone can pick up a HO, the merits and the shards on consecutive runs?
It's a possibility. We'll see how much the demand increases after i19 drops. We may just add a second night of the week at a different time to accomodate more West Coast folks.

Well, our guild decided to sponsor an impromptu raid this evening. And I'm happy to say that not only did folks turn out for it, but we set a new record for the fastest raid with a crisp 13-minute run.

Special thanks as always to my support person, as well as to my team leaders: Gravifris, Yukon Jello, Capt. Obvious, Kiddygrade, and Rotting Omen. Outstanding work, as always!

We are still planning to raid on Wednesday even if i19 drops tomorrow, as expected. So I hope to see you there!

Nice raid there; my thanks to Wulf and TA for running such a smooth raid (again).

Also thanks to Kiddygrade for the invite. I'd never been on the tank team before but great instructions were very helpful. Also whoever put those binds in chat; awesome.

Nice work from the buffers too.

Hope to catch you on another one soon.

little problem tonight...half the tanker team didnt get any reward..currently awaiting petitions. got an email saying the following

I am escalating your petition to a Senior Customer Support Representative to further assist you. Please be aware, however, that there may be a delay in reviewing the issue, based on ticket volume at the time your ticket was submitted.

Someone will be in contact with you as soon as possible.

Take care,
GM Zephyr

*update: thanks to a petition i was able to get my 4 shards for hami today. so make sure if you dont get anything to petition right away!

heres the email i got today as well...

In researching the server logs, I was able to confirm that your character (Servere) didn't receive the appropriate rewards for helping to defeat Hamidon. To correct this, I have granted your character the 4 Incarnate Shard salvage pieces that are due for your effort and participation in the Hamidon raid. You will see this applied to your character the next time you log in.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks to those who came out for the first post-i19 public raid. The zone, as expected, was full more than 30 minutes early, including a number of toons that weren't ideal for raiding (but that people wanted shards on). Even so, we managed a fairly crisp 20ish minute raid.

Special thanks, as always, to the support folks on my team, as well as to the team leaders: Kiddygrade, Grim Maligne, Celtic Apparition, Clan Nurse, Street Stalker, and Rotting Omen. Nicely done, folks!

In response to the previous two posts:

Capa, I'm glad the instructions were clear. The macros I use in the Request channel are subject to updates, but I'm always open for feedback.

Servere, you are quite correct. If you are outside of the cyto when Hamidon goes down--even if you are holding aggro on a mito or on a support toon keeping those tankers alive--you will not get credit for the raid even if you have damaged the nucleus previously during the raid. This is a bug that I have been petitioning since two issues back, but the devs either don't want to make a change to fix the problem, aren't able to figure out how to do so, or don't find it important enough to warrant fixing. But if you petition with the server name, day, and time of the raid, they can datamine it and award you your shards or merits.

This does bring up a related issue, though, that I think is a bigger problem. The support folks on those aggro teams have a responsibility to keep their teammates buffed and healed--not to do damage to the mitos or the nucleus. But if those support toons do not personally damage the nucleus, not only will they NOT receive the reward when the Hamidon goes down, but they will not get credit for it EVEN IF THEY PETITION IT. We've had it happen several times, and the response they get from the devs is basically, "you didn't damage the nucleus, so you don't get credit for being a part of the raid."

This is just plain WRONG. The fact that this could even happen tells me that either the devs don't want support toons who are doing their job properly to get credit for raiding OR they don't know enough about the raiding experience to understand how necessary those support toons are. Since I can't imagine them admitting the former reason, I'm left with the reality that they either don't know their own game or they just don't care. Either way, they really need to fix the bug.

In the meantime, we're making a point of telling everyone on support toons or on the aggro team to get at least one damaging hit on the nucleus early on in the raid. If you don't, the devs will ignore that you were even there. We also want everyone who is affected by this to bug it every single time. If we bury them in enough complaints, maybe they'll finally get around to fixing it.

Wulf, I always liked your instructions in Request. I actually meant the ones from Kiddygrade. Not having been on tank team before (which is a whole new ball game to being on another part of the raid), they were invaluable.

I was also one of the ones who haven't got merits for the effort. I've petitioned it but I can't even get a response from support to acknowledge the petition.

Thanks for explaining the issue regards being outside the cyto - I didn't realize that was the issue. It's incredible that they haven't addressed that because it must be more work having to datamine petitions than just fix the issue.

I agree, it's pretty shoddy that anyone outside the cyto doesn't get merits without having to argue for them and equally unfair to the support chars. Good support is just amazing; makes a huge difference but you often don't realize they're there.

Hope to catch you on another. If I'm awake.

Just wondering if there's a global Hami channel? Or if there is going to be a regular schedule for the Hami Raids? Last one (which, btw was my very first one) was amazing, so I'd hate to miss any of them.

This is the best place to hear about it, Unbound. We run them every Wednesday at 9:30 eastern, although, as you may have found this week, the zone fills up pretty quickly. So being early is a good idea. We will announce in the Level 50 and Guardian global channels from time to time, but we usually have enough in zone without doing so.

I'm glad you enjoyed the raid, and hope to see you there again in the future.

2 weeks in a row..no rewards for the tanks...we even went as far as making sure we were inside the goo and apparently thats not the trick.

Yes, Servere...it's been going on at every one of our raids--both the public ones we sponsor and our private guild raids--for two issues at least now. We've petitioned it repeatedly, and get our rewards eventually. But it's a huge headache that needs to be addressed.

As for the raid tonight, the zone was full very early once again, and we had a decent spawn time followed by an efficient 14-minute raid. Thanks to everyone who came out to take part.

As always, a special thanks to the support folks on my team, along with my team leaders: Kiddygrade, Street Stalker, Fetushead, Sausage Toes, Gravifris, and Saint Andrew. Outstanding work, as usual!

I will also add one other note as both the Guild Leader of the SG that sponsors these raids as well as the person who has probably lead as many Hamidon raids as anyone else in the game. Occasionally, we have someone who participates that is not sure of what powers to use, or thinks they know and is actually incorrect. The people who are chosen as team leaders know what powers should be used, when they should be used, what you should leave off, and understand their team's role in the overall raid strategy. Participants on those teams do not help themselves or anyone else by arguing or doing their own thing. If you have questions about why something isn't wanted or needed, by all means ask. But if you need further clarification, wait until after the raid, and either they or I will take as much time as needed to explain. Realize that the team leaders have to focus on their tasks and the raid as a whole, and if you argue or verbally abuse them, they will have no choice but to ignore you or remove you from the team. We would prefer not to have that happen to anyone, so please work with us.

Thanks, and hope to see everyone there next week!

Thanks for another great quick, easy and efficient raid.

Special nod to Gravifris who was leading the team I was on.

Best of luck to the tank team on getting their rewards. I did get mine from last week. I'm surprised that it's not more of a pain for NC to datamine each raid than fix the problem.

Thanks to everyone who came out to raid tonight. We had a reasonable spawn time followed by an efficient 16-minute raid, despite not having the best team balance for the strategy. Where in the world did all of the blasters come from tonight?

Special thanks, as always, to the support folks on my team, as well as to my team leaders: Danger Close, Ariel', Adam Lewis, Grim Maligne, and the Big Kielbosa. Outstanding work, as usual.

TA will not be leading a public raid next week, barring an unforeseen change of plans, in celebration of Christmas. So we'll see you in two weeks for the first raid of the new year!

I don't know who attempted to spawn and take down Hami on Sunday. It wasn't TA, as we don't leave Hami standing once we spawn him. But whoever it was that made the attempt was only successful in the spawning part, so there is a Hamidon waiting for us tonight. If you have EoEs already, please bring them with you, as there will be no spawning before the raid for additional drops.

Thanks!

Thanks to those who came out tonight for the raids. As it turned out, the Hive was full so early that some of the leadership couldn't even get into the zone. So we went to Hive 2 to get set up, spawned Hami, and took him down. Then we moved back to Hive 1, now with a few more EoEs under our belts, and took down the Hami that had already been spawned. I know that everyone wasn't able to get into the zone, or missed one raid or the other. Unfortunately, with the popularity and speed of these raids, it's only going to get worse in the future.

Both raids went fairly quickly with the no-reset strat, although I didn't time them tonight. But there seemed to be a significant number of satisfied people, and in the end, that's what matters.

Special thanks, as always, to my support folks, as well as to my team leaders (of a team on one or both raids): William Dark, Complex Electra, Fire Addict, Celtic Apparition, Diet Frission, and Grim Maligne. Outstanding work!

Hope to see you next week!

Glad you guys enjoyed it. Serv, it's about time you guys got the rewards without having to petition it. Maybe the devs finally decided to fix the problem. Only time will tell. And Bob, you didn't show much rust for someone who hadn't done it in awhile, and I appreciate you stepping in when our leader from the previous raid had to leave. Ravenwolf, it's about time you got in on another one...and what timing, to get a double-dip!

While we won't be doing double raids regularly, there is always the possibility--especially IF we decide to run one redside...

Thanks to all who came out for the raid tonight. As has become common since i19, the zone was full well before raid time, including a number of people who were afk when the set-up actually began. I understand that everyone wants to get in on these for the incarnate shards or merits, especially since they're so fast. But please--if you're not going to be there thru the set-up, DE takedown, and beginning of the raid, then don't bother logging a toon in. All you do is take away a spot from someone else who would like to participate.

We had a short spawn tonight, but had enough EoEs to go ahead and raid. We had a sub-20 minute raid, despite a number of people on toons that are not the best for the strategy used, and despite a number of people who insist on using powers that are not only not helpful, but create a significant amount of lag (steamy mist and hurricane, for example). Please watch the Request channel and turn those powers off, when asked. The request went out three times tonight, and it appeared that no one listened.

Thanks, as always, to the support folks, as well as to my team leaders: Street Stalker, Fire Addict, Kiddygrade, Madam Ex, and Grim Maligne, as well as the DE leader, Snausagez. Excellent work, all!

As of right now, TA is planning to be there to lead the raid next week.

While I could not personally be in attendance for the raid tonight for work-related reasons, I'll go ahead and thank everyone who was able to make it, along with my guildmates who make it work in my absence.

With that said, no one from the Twilight Avengers will be available to lead the raid next week, January 26th, as we have a guild function. If someone else would like to step up and attempt a raid, I'll be glad to share my instruction macros with you (if you want them). Just find me in-game between now and then or send me a PM here and we'll set up a time for it.
