There is a VNC client for DS. Could you possibly work this with the DS?
VNC is cross-platform, so as long as a client exists, and the network connection is good you should be able to do something with it.
Not sure if the DS has the horsepower to refresh the screen that fast..or the resolution to show the output.

This is as far as I got. I get "Error Cannot connect to host".

now I wish they'd actually develope a "lite" client to actually run on the iPhone without VNC.
I wouldn't care if the graphics were down to the level of diablo 1 and original UO... I'd play it when I couldn't use my PC.

now with my pda I too was getting cannot connect errors, it seems my client software was unable to handle encryptions. you might want to try disabling that Captain ?

Frozen, the specs on the ipaqs match my axim so it should be possible. The only thing to consider on mobile devices is whether or not they have the bandwidth to push say 10 jpgs a second though their busses , most have 2D acceration which is what you want for stuff like this.
When I get this running good and I decided on the software I want to use i'll upload a vid of it running. I do have a couple of photos I took of it running on my axim but no way to upload them yet

iPhone is 320x480. Not sure if it'll work well or not, but only takes a few minutes to try.

I haven't tried using CoH on it, but I will say that the MochaVNC client lets you clip parts of the screen; so you don't need to map your entire screen onto the phone; if you go landscape and are at 480x320, for example, you can view a 480x320 piece of your desktop, or pinch/pull to resize what portion you are seeing.

The WinMo VNC client is for both 5 and 6, so you should not have a problem.
On a side note, I believe there is an official update to WM6 for that device. Or you can probably hunt down an unofficial 6.1 update, but it may tax the memory of the phone.
