Discussion: 51 Month and 54 Month Veteran Rewards

The only thing I can't understand is that with Warhammer coming up and big time super-hero competition looming..the one thing that might keep people from deactivating their accounts while they try them out (and they will try them out) is given the least amount of thought.

I just don't get that. It seems like with just 2 secs of work they could port over a group of temp weapons like the iron sword and the bow from the Croatoa, the craftable temp power pistol , etc and give us a choice of a cool thematic weapon that everyone can use.

that was a very intelligent and well thought out response to the debate at hand. i love the idea, its original, hasnt been used before in an earlier reward. for the record would you please post the elapsed time that thought took to manifest in your brain and travel down to your fingers to the keyboard so we can later compare this to the months of planning, shaping, and debating it takes a comitee of devs to regurgitate the same thought they all collectively shared 16 months ago.

I agree with the above poster. While I like choice, I already said "no" to 1/2 of those choices once.

Lets see some new "temp" powers converted for Veteran! Either existing ones (I SO would love the lightning bolt gloves), the "wolf whistle" or even something entirely new.

The missions seem like reruns, which is understandable. The Veteran Rewards - not so much. I would LOVE to see something new! This just seems.... lazy.

Oh boy! Ever since I preordered CoV and first equipped the crabspider helmet, I've been kicking myself for not getting the Arachnos helmet. Now, if poverty and various things hadn't kept me away for various periods, I'd have hit 51 in July, and now I'm sorry I havent. BUT. The 54 month award being something that's already been awarded is TEH SUXXOR. I mean really, if I'd wanted those other powers, I'd have chosen them the first time. IMO, Sands of Mu and the Dark Staff are the only way to go... I hate knockback and that axe is just plain worthless...
What about something new? How about a laserbeam eye power pool? Or, Shoot, after 4 and a half years of loyalty, how about a vet reward travel power like permanent Raptor pack or Zero G pack?
