I did the Soul Train peice because I'm impatient....but I'm still waiting on some info on War Shrike. I'll gladly do different one if there are people that have submitted the proper info and have noone to do their charcter.

I really have to commend everyone that is pitching in to do this.
It's nice to see that this community cares so much about each other.
Me and my friend had ordered a commission. The sad part is it was completed, paid for and we never got the printed version. If anyone wants to take it up please send me a PM so we can discuss it. If needed I can provide the two paypal receipts for the piece.
The two characters are Lady Immolatasia and Nisstyre from Virtue. If anyone has ever seen them in game or briefly when they were up on MMOart, you'll understand our disappointment with MMOart.
EDIT:On second thought never mind about the mmoart piece, if anyone wants to draw the characters we have plenty of images.

I don't think you should seek out those that aren't already on this board. That's a lot of work on your part.
Yeah, if people know of others on the list, then they can point them this way and ferry messages, but I don't think anyone should particularly be trying to track folks down. That sounds too much like work.
I sent a PM to the two names I recognized on the list.
I just wanted to say thanks to the community for doing this! I've had 2 pieces in the queue since August of 2006. I've since had a couple of pieces from other artists completed (including the awesome Vanguard League poster from Doug). I'm not looking for the art, but after 2 years and a substantial deposit, I'm going to try and simply get my money back and call it a day.
I'm always very, very impressed with the art community in CoH, and this type of project is impressive in it's generosity and inspiring in it's spirit. Congrats to all the participants!

Yeah, I saw that. Frankly, after 2 years of being jerked around, I've lost my enthusiasm for my order. Since I put my original order in in August of 2006, they have gone through at least two "rebirths". During each lots of promises get made, a little bit of art gets done, then 3-4 months later, more silence, followed later by the same cycle.
I'll pass on this round.

I can't say as I blame ya. I had noticed that trend as well with the same promises being made with this incarnation that were made previously. Glad to know he's okay, but yeah. I wish you the best of luck on getting your money back from them.

I don't think any of the artists will pull out, but some of the commissioners will take the deal from MMOART.

I would not want to ask any artist to take part who as not voluntered. IMO, I really feel like the focus needs to stay on the notion that these commissions are another artist's obligations and the people here are just doing something to support the commisssioners, but I don't think we, they or anyone involved in this can be obligated to cover everyone as a replacement for a piece for the guy who skipped.
I don't know, I hope that came off right. I just hate to ask people to offer their time and craft (many have spent years building) for free.
