MMO ART?

I love those new sketches, especially Axe Jack. If I may make a suggestion, if the intention is to have a very low camera angle as I am guessing from the low skyline in the background, I think it will even look sweeter to have the character conform to the same perspective. It doesn't have to be something drastic, but could be as little as small details such as the horizontal contours of the torso curving up and down instead of straight across or slightly down and up. I am looking forward to seeing how these turn out.

Alt's not the artist, Lousy. But you could always email Jomaro. Seeing as these are all commissioned pieces, I don't think they're really open to critique.
Liking that Omega Brothers piece.

Evidently everything is open to critique, not only works in progress, but works that are finished. There's a tendency for the artist to get defensive with their vision, OR to thank the third party for their observation and move on to the next one...
Amazing. SO SO glad to see them back. I hope to put my name on the list soon.
I apologize if I offended anyone. I frequent other forums where critique, whether positive or negative, is encouraged over just saying something is nice, and I did not realize it was not appreciated here unless the artist asks for it. I will be careful to keep my observations to myself from now on.

Part of the issue here, and this is my own observation, is that the artist in question (IIRC) doesn't even have an account here, and doesn't read these boards. The WIPs that are being posted are being done so by folks who have commissioned, or have an interest in, his work. Your critique may or may not have been well received by the artist, but I feel reasonably safe in suggesting he likely won't see it.
And I don't know about you, but I feel weird about critiquing stuff when the artist won't see it. It's kind of like talking behind their back, to me.
That said, all of these look very spiffy... so much so that I can't wait to see what he does with my third piece. Gawds, I do lurves pencils.

I'm not the artist and the artist isn't able to reply on the forums yet. But I don't think Jomaro is going to get flustered over your comments so no worries
As a side note, even unregistered visitors can view the forums, they just aren't able to reply.

As am I, since the art forums I frequent we hash up people's pieces with redlines galore. No worries
yeah but thats a real art forum , where fellow artists come together to share trade secrets and learn and teach .
This place is more about just showing off art , its sorta like the kiddie pool of art forums
Lousy:
I wasn't offended by your comments, nor did I find them without merit... the thing is here, everyone sort of knows everyone, and so when someone new comes along and breaks the typical behavior, it's seen as rude. But I know that was not your intention, and you have every right to your opinion. I don't believe Gil will take you up on that particular suggestion, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep handing them out as you see fit. We're all capable of change, and of being polite and of over reacting.

accck !!
Now you've gone and done it - you gave me a new idea for an "After Work" piece. So many ideas, so little cash...

I have a inflateable kiddie pool on my upstairs patio and sit in it while and watch my green apple smirnoff bottles merrily bob around until I get thirsty .
A 15 dollar kiddie pool is a awesome investment for a apartment dweller without a pool in a hot hot summer

I'm never offended when someone critiques me. There isn't a 'blanket rule' here that says you can't offer your opinion. If you wanna critique a piece, I say go right ahead. This is a forum, after all.
You have the right to critique. I have the right to take or ignore your comments. It's all good.
DJ I think you are a super fantastic artist and I adore your work!
Feel free to ignore me!!! :P
Gotta say the coloring on Roxstar is superb...
There isn't anything about that Rockstar image that doesn't kill at a 100 paces. The textures, colors, lines--all of it is pitch perfect!
amazing!
i almost don't like looking at art this good, because it makes me question my own talent, LOL.
Why doubt yourself, it's something to work for, emulate, adapt to your own uniqueness... we are borg... um you know what I mean. I find this type of work inspirational...
MMOART is back with a vengeance! THis is fantastic stuff but more importantly, it's nice to see dude backin up his words. I'm happy for all involved.
If you do it the other way, it prepends "www.cityofheroes.com" to the beginning of every link.
This does not yield workable results.
Way to fix it, Fixy.
