Concept: We actually rule the Rogue Isles, we're just too busy with other things (shopping, robbery, napping, etc) to bother with the day-to-day evil of it all.
RP: We aren't a RP orientated VG but we have RPers in it and encourage those that wish to RP to do so and the other members will respond to them as RPly as possible.
PvP: We aren't a PvP orientated VG but, as above, we have PVPers and encourage people to at least try it.
Activity: We're not as active as we used to be but typically there's always 1 - 2 people on at any given time of the day. I personally bounce between COH/COV on a daily basis.
Requirements to Join: None, except undying loyalty to me. To get the first promotion within the VG you need to be level 10 with at least 10k prestige. The second promotion is level 20 with at least 50k prestige. The third promotion is for those who I hand-pick since it grants a lot of Base/Storage permission.

Other: We enjoy the luxeries of a very large base with all the TPers and frills of most large VGs but without the strict regulations, prestige grinding and bickering.
Name: S.I.N.I.S.T.E.R
Concept: We are the premier Villain Group for players in the Australasian time zones (UTC+8:00 => UTC +12:00). We've been active since CoV launch when the various Australian hero SGs nominated to form a single VG for City of Villains.
RP: Not a primarily RP-oriented group, but we have plenty of RPers in the group as well as several characters specifically created to be part of VG RP teams.
PvP: We aren't a PvP group although we do have some members who enjoy it as well as a raid capable base. We have done base raids in the past as part of our regular weekly event night.
Activity: We're an active VG, certainly by the standards of groups operating in our timezone. Our weekly event night regularly raises enough players to do 2-3 Strike Forces at the same time.
Requirements to Join: Be nice, be considerate, have a sense of humour and don't be a PITA. By all means follow our Rules and Regulations (available on our web site), but ultimately they just boil down to that. Before you join though, best assess how realistic it is for you to play in the Aussie timezones on a regular basis. The main reason a lot of us are here is that it's too difficult for us to play regularly with people in the US; that goes both ways.

Theme/Concept: As the VG founder, I tried searching for a good VG for a while. While some seemed nice, there was always something missing. As I thought about it more, I deduced that they had below optimal quantities of Nive. I founded this VG in the hopes of having large amounts of Nive.
Activity: There has always been someone on that I have seen.
Requirements for Membership: Nive's Villains only allows the most elite and most Nive villains to join. Must be Nive to be considered for membership (even then it is not certain).

RP Level: As far as I'm concerned, there are no active RPers in the VG, but there aren't any members who are against RPers.
PvP: While we don't specialize in PvP anymore, there are a few of us that PvP pretty consistently (me included.)
Theme/Concept: We're awesome, and don't take drama.
Activity: Most activity takes place on vent. We have a very friendly community that's been around for years now. We are all very accepting towards new members should they show the initiative to get to know everyone. Also, Ogre gives out free "favors" on weekends.
Requirements for Membership: Prestige isn't really a problem unless you desire your own Enhancement Bin. You're a member as long as you prove your level of intelligence is above... My little brother's.

Currently Recruiting: Not actively recruiting at this time, but our eyes are always open for good prospects who prove themselves.
RP Level: We do not get involved in RP as a group, but have nothing against individuals who do.
PvP: We do a little PvP here and there (and hold our own when we do), but are primarily focused on PvE: regular VG RSF runs 3-4 times a week, other SFs, experience, infamy and prestige grinds, badge farming, etc.
Theme/Concept: We are a mature (age 21+), active VG who promote having fun and team play of the highest level. There is no over-riding theme to our in-game alts, but we do have an informal VG costume.
Activity: Very active almost every weeknight and weekends. Many EST members, but PST and a sprinkling of others as well.
Requirements for Membership: By invitation only, usually extended to those we have gotten to know through teaming, etc. Must be age 21 years or older and (at least in terms of game play) act it. We expect everyone to be active and to run the majority of their alts in SG mode--you don't stay a top-20 VG without evrybody doing their part. Theme/Concept: In-story, your standard not-quite-benevolent Rogue Isles sci/tech company. In reality, a group for mature casual to semi-casual players to get together, chat, share resources and team up.
Activity: Low. We're new.

Currently Recruiting: LexieTech is looking for dynamic operatives eager to help CEO Lexie Lothora start the new corporate branch in the Rogue Isles.
Theme/Concept: Although LexieTech Incorporated specializes in high-tech audio and mainframe computer systems, the company also engages in other more clandestine operations.
Activity: Whenever possible. This is still a start-up operation as of this posting.

Greetings my name is Shin Shiro Firebend. My religion is looking for more followers for the vast armies of the eastern sun god Tianshu Zhu.
(( Hey there we are light to medium RP themed VG based on the Avatar Last Airbender series but with a originality twist. We are pretty new but a definite work in progress. Why did I pick an actual Sun as a representation of all elements? Well to be honest the sun does represent all the elements in different aspects. For earth benders our symbol element is a Magma(Fire/Earth) Sun itself or volcano, For air our symbols are Char or Smoke or a dark storm(Fire/sonic)(Storm/Electricity, Dark/Fire) or vice versa from a Volcano (Sun's solar cycle and it's energy emissions to the earth). For water our symbol is that of brisk chill or cool tidal wave from the sun's control over the winds and ocean current.(Ice/Dark, Ice,Ice, Ice/ storm etc.) We also have have room for the typical ordinary foot soldier be it ninja blade or martial arts. Anything traditional Asian themed.
The Requirements are that the toon be traditional Asian themed(above)
and can relate sparsely to the way the avatar characters look. (sparsely! no copyright infringement here ) Of course we are accepting all elemental types benders and natural weapon types soldiers. Currently Recruiting: Not really, however we've been known to ask people if they'd like to join the VG if they do not have one and we enjoy teaming with them. We do have room and If you read through all the info and would like to join and no one in the VG has teamed with you on either side, then we generally all team together to make sure it's a good fit first.
Concept: A band of Contract Assassins working the Rogue Islands
RP: Yes most of the time we all RP - only in our villain group - We have no rules about it some people don't enjoy it or don't seem to get into it, and we just generally tend to talk normally then on non VG only teams.
SG chat is generally reserved for non RP chat while VG team chat is RP orientated.
PvP: rarely but yes, sometimes.
Activity: Very casual and close knit. If you want to join the villain group you're invited to a private global channel so please have a spot open for that as some VG/SG members global friends lists are full. Our base membership villain side is small but we've all known each other for awhile.
If we see one of our members soloing we invite them to group if we are on villain side -or take requests on teaming as long as no one is involved in TFs/SFs in the SG chat channel. Teaming is done usually in the later PM hours of EST and randomly on weekends.
Requirements to Join: You can't be a tool or harass members, RP is not adult orientated. We have no hang up about debt if you're new and you complain about it if we wipe then you will be generally laughed at and punished by having to listen to a speech by Zayra.
We tend to use Skype if we're doing weekend teaming or TFs though it's not a requirement. If you join us on skype you don't have to be chatty however you do have to at least say hello and learn to use the mute feature if you have a lot of background noise or game sound playing. If you are not ok with swearing or being given a hard time jokingly then joining us on skype would not be a good idea on your part. *We do not RP on skype and VG team chat is generally quieter on weekends due to this*

Our SG membership not by choice just by random majority is more adult female gamer orientated, however we also have a couple of male members.
*We play on both sides of the game, and go through periods of inactivity on villain side when we are all on hero side and vice-versa. Most members in our SG if they play hero side join our villain group when playing villain side, though it's not a requirement.*

Currently Recruiting: As always, new members are welcome, but not "open recruiting". There is an application on our webpage.
RP Level: We do not get involved in any RP as a group, but we do have some RP members that we respect.
PvP: We do not specialize in pvp, but we have been known to throw a team together and go on a slaughter-romp in one of the pvp zones from time to time for fun. We enjoy using our "pve builds" to their maximum potential in any scenario. We do, however, have a couple dedicated PvP members in our ranks.
Theme/Concept: The general idea is as the name says "Zero Tolerance" or "Common sense is the only rule". It's all about having people to team with that don't make you want to drive nails into your skull. People that are able to work well on teams, and quickly adapt to any situation. However, we have a tendancy to like the 'unpopular' powersets, rather than just filling out the teams with the 'tired but true' type of stuff, and we make it work and work good, too.
Activity: Actually just over a dozen real people at the moment, all active. Mostly EST, but our playtime easily supports any US timezone. Weekdays, Weekends, it's all the same to us.
Requirements for Membership: We use teamspeak, don't care if you don't have a mic, or just plain don't like to talk, but you do need to hear us when we're teaming. No alts in other "competitive" VGs, (If you have an alt in some personal group, or strict RP group, we don't mind) but for the most part, all members want all their alts in ZT because we all share the common attitude of wanting the group to succeed. We use our website calendar and forum for scheduling events, as well, so keeping up with that is strongly recommended.

yeah, it's not so shiny, but it gets the job done.
Coalitions: We've been offered, many times over to join coalitions involving all the top ranking groups on the server. We have no interest in joining this sort of coalition. After all, these groups are supposed to be our competition.
Other Details: You'll find that all our members share one thing, more important than being able to work well together, we all share the same mindset about the group. Every member wants the group to succeed as if it was their own creation. That's probably why we're so strong with such small numbers. Also, probably why our numbers stay so low. Ideally we want people with that same amount of dedication. And it doesn't mean you have to play every night and grind prestige for hours. It's just a matter of mindset. We like our casual members just as much as anyone else.
Oh yeah, and it might not seem like it, but we actually like taking in players who are entirely new to the game. Some of our best and favorites came like that.
And, it's not an issue yet, but when it does come, we intend on being a strong force in the IoP/CoP/raiding game.
