Melissa - I still remember feeling relieved when we met in 07 at Dave & Busters' that there was a woman on the team - you are so welcoming and kind. We talked not just about CoH, but about life, and some very similar experiences.
Then you sent my girls a CoH care package and decorated the outside with special Warwitch Hallowe'en artz! This made TA very jealous ..... You are truly a kind and generous soul with wit and humour!
You and the entire CoH team have been a part of something so much greater than the sum of it's parts. We all have. Change is the only constant, and sometimes it sucks ...
... but I suspect something beautiful and great lurks on the horizon ... so for now, we will mourn and say our goodbyes and try to build our sub-communities and cope with the losses we fear. .... and then the beautiful and great will emerge and we will find new ways we can't even imagine now, to learn and grow!
Thanks to you and the whole team - I never even knew this world was possible until CoH.
Much love ... dollops of sassiness ... -
My daughter, now 16, is raving inarticulately in the kitchen .. "I GREW UP WITH THIS GAME! I'VE BEEN PLAYING THIS GAME SINCE I WAS 7!! WHAT IS THE DEAL?" ... she got to be in beta way back ... wait .. there's more .. "I LEARNED TO READ AND WRITE ON THIS GAME!" ... oh .. well THAT explains a lot!!
-
TA said it right - CoH took my life in directions I never knew existed. I fell in love over the internet and refused to believe it! CoH was helping me limp through a dead marriage while I raised two beautiful girls, and TA became a great friend. Who knew you could fall in real love in these things? Srsly?
We went to the CoH M&G in 2007 (Dave & Busters) and peeps wanted to take pictures of us. .. Yeah .. you're all weird .. period.
Now I get to live with TA, my girls adore him, and we both work types of moderation (mine is more corporate) from home - so no shortage of time together.
Special shout out to Melissa WARWITCH! Bianco ... we had some awesome chats!
Thanks to all of you for an amazing community, a fun game and a tremendous opportunity to see how good people can be to each other.
In the end, I lose out on you guys, but I get to look across the room at my life partner. Not goodbye .. so long ... -
*pops several Clear Mind Inspies*
ZOMG!
Who ARE you all?
Egads! -
Hello my darlings -
Moggy - so lovely to see you here - always a treat!
Warwitch - you are the BERMB!
I know I no long post here very much - TA and I used to chat here a lot when we were separated by miles and miles of unknowing and geography. Now that I have him in my life and a job that requires being online for hours a week, I find myself enjoying the outside world a lot! With two daughters at home, a crazy hero and four chihuahuas in the house, time is a precious commodity! ... and there you have my anemic excuse for not showering the boards with my Sassitude of late!
I am so touched and grateful for all that CoH has brought me, and to see the community here still so strong and supportive. As TA said - our match is so unlikely, and yet .... so strong. Sometimes I think the time it took us to get to know each other in the first place created a powerful understanding and bond. There are days when I still remember what it was like to feel so powerfully for somebody I wasn't sure I would ever get to be with.
We would love to come to the Pummit, but the last couple of years have been as hard on us as too many of our peers, so job expectations and finances may make it impossible, but we will see what we can do.
The ingame wedding would be MAHvellous!! .. maybe if I turn three times around and mutter *WarWitch! WarWitch!* and click my ingame characters' heels together three times ... *wink*
Again .. thank you. I plan to get old and wrinkly with this man, until my spandex costume loses it's sheen and I have to throw my walker at the Hellions ...... love Sass. -

Congratulations and hugs and big wet kisses .. I thought this years' artists were reallly good, ... all year .... so a special spray with champagne to Foo and Shia, and drunken fun all around to all the artists. You all showed good art, some of it really good, and I really enjoyed it. Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your talents with us.

Quote:... you do what the Englishwoman does on here .. you assume the worst and remember .. most of English DOES NOT come from American shows ... a tiny percentage of English actually shows up .. maybe a hundred words of vocabulary. The rest is .... well .. I can't say or I'll break down crying.See, that last statement makes it all kinds of scary... considering most of English comes from American shows and such... but most of my friends are English, so I've come to understand some subtle differences... like pants:
American pants: overgarments
English pants: undergarments
What's a crazy Dutchman supposed to think?
Pants ... take em or leave em .. but gimme the thorazine pls .. k thx bai. -
Grief but that is an eye-catching piece!! Very possibly the nicest piece I've seen of AoT to date. I actually really like the pencil strokes and roughness of the first pieces. Something .... hands on and passionate about the pen/pencil strokes!!
Nice one!! -

Quote:Okay, we have to get you to join us the next time we have a mini get-together for the NorCal Justicites. Perhaps be easier for you to initially break the ice with a much smaller group of folks. And then when HeroCon rolls around next year, hopefully you'll feel comfortable enough around us NorCal folks that you'll hang with us and mingle with whoever we're mingling with.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
*deep breath*
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
What a great sense of humour the lovely Manoa has ... "easier!" *wipes tears from eyes*
.. wait .. maybe she is planning this without TA & I in which case .. dratz ... now my plan for world domination will have to wait .....
