Juggertha PWNS TA
wow
*stunned*
Exceptional piece of work there, TA.
<thumps up>
Juggertha could do to be a bit more "inflated", but still, it is a great piece. The artist is also very humble and good at responding to criticism. Good job all around. A shame that two artists walked off with your money beforehand, though.
lay off the crack TA... that's why Juggy snuck up on you... LOLOL (sorry folks inside joke)
Man, I hate that guy. Stupid Doc Destiny!
Great piece - very original! More comments on DA!

This is awesome.
I know that many people are keying on the proportions and such - especialy Juggy's size, but that doesn't phse me all that much. I remember reading a lot of comics in my life that took different approaches to heroic proportions - and to me, that's how this peice sits.
Thanks so much TA, my birthday is next week, and I think that this will be the best gift I get.
Ok I have a limited knowledge of comics but it occurs to me that there are many instances of the "huge" body type heroes and villains swelling in size leading up to or during a fight and shrinking down afterwards... notably Colossus the Hulk and even Juggernaut in the old versions ("think Pryde of the X-men") so bearing that in mind most any depiction of Juggy is of him in combat swinging his axe fury bar (he's a brute right?) maxxed out looking to destroy... maybe in this alternate version of him we see him now after combat when the bloodlust has ended and his fury has depleted and he is, as few have seen him, at peace.
Or it could just be me grasping at straws... I had pancakes at IHOP last night and was hitting the Boysenberry syrup pretty hard.
Thanks Red!

Yeah i agree, TA needs a bit more beef too. But for the piece and the artists style i think it fits and have grown to like it very much like this. Like a normalized version of the 2 characters. has a certain charm to it and makes it original for sure lol.
Dr D is a great guy to work with, seriously you'd think i was paying for the piece the way i was treated. Very professional and yes, very humble.
Yeah i think it's ironic that after 3 plus years and those 2 running with my money that it wound up being an artist that did it for free. I guess good things come to those who wait and what comes around goes around really are true
Thanks bro!

Also you are so welcome! Sorry it took this long. The fact that it comes up a week from your birthday is a very cool coincidence as well. Thanks for everything you've done for the COG community and me personally! Glad ya came back

Yeah great point! Thats what i had been thinking recently as well, though i don't think thats how Juggertha is. I like it anyways!
Dr. Destiny took me out to a nice steak dinner and never called me back.
Then what of the sweet words he spoke as he gently bedded me?
Oh wowwww!!! Fantastic artz, TA!!

YAY!!.. dose this mean we can open up a new line of " juggy pwning DA" images ???
Newsflash!
Unbeknownst to Juggertha the forumite his Villain has apprently gone on
an artistic killing spree of other prominent members of the art forum!
Film (err artwork) at 11!
Reminds me of this image of the Hulk vs. Superman... right down to the poses and flowing cape.

I pick a pose (whether swiped or not) and work around it in some type of sketch. Altering what I want... sometimes a lot, sometimes not much. It's a fine line between stealing and swiping IMO. I take poses from real life shots and other comic artists (or I even get my wife to pose). I figure as long as I put in hours of effort, people will respect my choice. |
"Hey Swiper no swiping!!!
Awwww, man!!"

Reminds? D'oh
To clarify I'm not bothered by borrowing a pose or most of the design elements if
it is intended to be a homage to the original. It however does bug me if the artist is
trying to pass it off as his/her own original work and subsequently profit from that deception.
So a long while back there was a piece of art done for me by Juggy of TA vs Juggertha:
Not sure of the date on this but anyways, i had since tried to get a piece done that would be version 2 of this piece. I tried 5 different times and even had the piece commissioned twice and paid for but the artists in question took the money and ran. the other 3 times i had to pull out due to lack of money. In the end it took the generosity of one artist who agreed to do it for free.
Dr Destiny started on this about a week ago and treated it like a commission involving me in the process and letting me have input along the way. This is the final result. After 514 pieces of art and more then 5 years, TA has been defeated.
Notes from the artist:
"My choice of TA's pose was deliberate - there are poncy art reasons for it. The idea was that he does almost look at rest, despite the staff piercing him.
The burden of invincibility has been lifted (The ageing gunfighter, being forever challenged), and perhaps the weight of guilt that came from his murder of his patron too."
Hope ya dig it Juggy!
