They once said they where going to make a way for us to transfer our basses between servers. I know they haven't done it yet but is there any word on it. I tried a search and couldn't find anything.
-
Beffore they went free the max was 32 characters per server. At that time the sub came with 8. i paid for 28 slots. But when they increased it ot 12 the differince got lost.
So its 36 - 8 +2 and othere vet rewards -
But my server only has 36 charaters and i got these beffore it went up to 12 when the sub was only 8
-
Yes but thats my point. I paid for 36 slots and I'm only getting 26
-
Pre-I21 I had justice server full of characters. Now that I canceled my subscription all of my characters have been locked. Both the ones that come with the game when i originally purchased it and the ones in slots that I purchased separately. It says I have only 26 character unlocks. Shouldn't there be more then that? And why do i have to unlock them to begin with when I'm supposed to have a lot more then 26 slots.
-
I have the yearly subscription. How dose this affect getting the monthly stipends since my pay date isn't monthly but yearly? Also I already have the full maximum of 42 reward merits witch are stoled into the all the slots. Will I get more then that?

Quote:Not true. just take the cd key and use it as an upgrade on your accountWhere did you get your game code? I created an account to be able to purchase it for a friend, they created an account to receive it but when they log in to the account it doesn't show a game code anywhere. It shows no purchases at all in their Account Details.
EDIT: Nevermind. Found the answer elsewhere. You have to install their crapware Steam Client in order to be able to claim the game code. Since he and I both refuse to install Steam on our computers, I guess I'll have to start seeking a refund. Too bad, he'd have liked to be able to reactivate it and get GR on his account. -
I agree with this. In my option its still not half as bad as the auction house or worse the way they use salvage to make inventions. Too many wish they would alter it to a similar what as incarnate works. In witch case you have 2 or three base types that can be use to create what you need rather then hunting around for it as a drop or paying an arm and a leg for in auction. But thats another mater.

Quote:One reason most people don't do it this way is because its easier to just go to a zone and form there then have the lead just punch it in. Since the league was formed with the idea of doing trials you don't need everyone to agree to it separately. It defeats the purpose of the lead doing it for everyone in the fist place. Another reason I call out for the trials that I form is to make the teams as balanced as possible. This is especially needed when I do Lambda since usually to do it you have to separate the team's and having a balanced team will help make it so theres less deaths. As far as I know the quota system doesn't do this. The timer is there not to punish anyone, but to make open leagues feasible. We currently all stand around in one zone and invite each other to leagues. We do it this way because we're used to it, not because it's the best way of doing it.
Another way of forming leagues would be to use a global channel. Someone could shout out on a global channel, "BAF starting up. Everyone queue for BAF." Then everyone could queue themselves separately or in teams.
The devs sold trials with the idea that you could stand around wherever you happen to be (in the market, knocking off Rikti in RWZ, chilling in Pocket D) and wait for it to start.
Nobody does it that way. We all think we have to pack into the same zone to start a trial. This is old thinking, a holdover from the TF/SF model. We all stand around for 10, 20, 30, 40 minutes doing nothing while one person frantically searches for league members. And to top it off, several times I've been in a league and the zone fills. The leader says, "Okay, everyone move to RWZ 2." So we waste another five or 10 minutes moving everyone to another zone.
This is not necessary. We can all just queue wherever we are. Now that there's a five-minute timer, it's actually possible to start leagues this way without leaving someone behind.
The problem is that most leagues can't succeed unless they have a minimum number of role-players (you usually needs tanks/brutes, control for BAF, area heals for Keyes, etc.). Since we can't see into the queue, we don't know whether the trial will have those role-players. This is the biggest deficiency in the LFG queue: you have no idea how many people are queued, whether there are actually enough to start a trial, who they are, or what ATs they are, what powers they have (including Incarnate powers so you can tell if they're level 50, 50+1, 50+2 or 50+3, etc.).
To allow us to use the LFG queue properly, the devs need to give us all that information, plus the actual time remaining until the trial starts once the minimum league size is met.
In the meantime, if we formed leagues by putting together teams that do have the necessary role-players for success, each team could form and queue themselves, rather than having one league leader doing all the invites. A hero team could form up in Talos at the market. A villain team could form up in Cap at the Black Market. No need to fill RWZ or Pocket D with dozens of people.
People currently think of a league as one giant team, when they should be thinking of it as two to six separate teams. Team leaders should work together to form a coherent league from two or three teams, instead of making everyone come to one zone and one person do all the invites.
Many people in the same SG play together as teams. Leagues and the LFG queue are explicitly designed to support that, so we should take advantage of it.
One reason I like going to a zone is becuase I don't like to do things half way. By this I mean I don't want to be doing something and all of a sudden be asked id i would like to abandon what im doing or continue. Especially if I'm in a mission. Another reason I think people go to zones such as Pocket D is becuase you have to wait just as long there as any where else so what real difference is there.
Quote:It's exactly the same thing. The league leader uses the LFG option to start the trial. That is the only way to start a trial. Everyone in his league is treated exactly as if they had hit that option on their own. There is no alternate system for pre-formed groups.
So if it's the same thing why have the need for individual to agree to do it since when a team forms they usually to always form under specific things to do. Ie trial team, TF/SF team, or trial team. As far as I remember Ive never been in a team where the lead suddenly just went to a tf/sf con and just started it when they said that they where just doing missions. The reason this isn't done even if you do get a *** who would is becuase it will piss of the other players and they just leave thus ending the tf/sf. -
Quote:I'm no talking about the LFG option in the chat window. I'm talking about if your in a team and the lead starts the trial that everyone gets a confirmation then. Showing a confirmation on the first is fine but when your in a team its kind of pointless since (at least as far as I've noticed) when you join trial, tf, mission, or sf's they they say what there doing in the begging.I thought the reason for the confirmation was obvious. The devs intended people to use the lfg system to find their trials. Since they would be doing other things while waiting for enough people to form, the green button thing is there to remind them and give them a chance to finish stuff up. Most folks have given up on the lfg system though. Those who do get in, have minimum size trials because not too many people use the system, but the devs don't seem to get this and tried to fix it by adding the 5 minutes timer, which only will discourage people further from using the system. Whatever, I'm fine with pre-forming in Pocket D, maxing out the leagues and leaving it open to still get the extra goodies with all the benefits of being closed.
Fine but just because you and others do this everyone else is getting the boot since the devs are getting pissed from it. They make the game where you can get powerful enough to do the trials with 5 people then go "oh thats not really how we intended these trials to be played". -
Quote:And mis out on half the reward so the system can look for somone in a tiem when no one is looking......ya noThen close the league - closed leagues do not have the timer.
Quote:Not all people will think to do it. Not all people will bother to do it. Antyhing the system can simply do automattically to make league leader's life more convenient is a good addition. Plus, anything the system can automatically do in order to announce the existence of people actively teaming and playing the game is likely a good idea when so much of the game's action takes place in instances.
The visible timer is the most important thing to make keep people running trials already happier. The announcement idea is likely one of the best things the game can do for its own health.
Quote:So that is why I can't get on any trial nowadays with the LFG system (I could, before I20.5). Heh, all people I know who tried to lead open leagues simply thought it was bugged and switched to closed leagues.
Whoever thought making a 5 minute timer without a big, bold warning to everyone on the league that there is such a timer going on is a sane idea is, well, a bit out of touch with how people actually play.
Actually, so many things baffle me with the trial system. Having to wait for an unknown amount of time until the leader starts so we can press the green button - seriously? I don't even get why this needs a confirmation to start with, the game never needed anything like that before for TFs and such and it worked fine, but if we really have to, can't we get "click here to be ready" or "vote to start", like, you know, every game released in this millenium? Maybe this is some moon logic at work thinking that while the leader is recruiting, we'll socialize or maybe discuss trial strategies. In the real virtual world, people watch TV instead while wishing it'd start already. -
Quote:Not at all... just that folks are always trying to game it, do it their way, and leave people out in the cold in the Q while they run their "Small BAF" or what have you.
So once again i have to be punished and wait 5 min when no one is looking and all i can get is the min due to all the ***'s out there or becuse some people want to keep there lag down by just going with the min. -
Quote:1) That would fix the problem of people leaving due to them thinking nothing happening on the leads side when in fact there waiting on the new systemI love the new system, that kind of delay should have always existed. Three things could be done to improve the system.
1) A visual countdown timer should pop up for anyone in the queued league. Five minutes is not a long time, but feels much longer when it is an unknown quantity, especially when we feel tied to our computers for fear of missing the green button.
2) The leader of a league who enters the queue should in some way be able signify they want to keep the league star. If multiple leagues enter the queue with a leader desiring to keep the star AND they are small enough to join into one league, the larger league leader keeps the star. If both leagues are the same size, the one who entered the queue first keeps the star. In the event of the inevitable possible tie, it would have to be random.
3) Some type of server wide event notification should be made if the league size minimum is reached (which would be usually for a preformed that stays open, most people do not queue up until they know they can actually start the trial). That way, as soon as you queue up, the whole server is notified that there is a trial they can also queue up to join. Bonus points if the event notification includes the league leaders name.
2) In my experience loosening the league star isn't that much of a problem since i could always get it back unlike sf/sf's where the team places are fixed
3) Dont think this is needed since a league lead with a brain could do this in channels
Quote:Yeah. They took the broken TeamUpTeleporter system and made it more broken.
Stratus I don't understand what is possible to enjoy about it? lol. We've had to deny several people in public trials i've been a part of because we were 3minutes into the queue and someone asked to join, and exiting queue to invite them would reset that nonsense. "Oh you could just invite them after starting with the new feature" next problem lol;
Besides taking your pre-created league and playing 52pickup with its sorting as you load in, the "invite to league in progress" doesn't work as far as I've heard. Me and 6 other people on my server tried it on different trials and all we got after sending the invite was "unknown command tut_invite"(even though we didnt type that, we used /li or whatever else). HOW did that get through closed&open beta, and test server, and never be reported as not working?

Quote:Any way around this? The 20.5 patch notes are your friend:
Team-Up Teleporter Expansions
Open Leagues- A 5-minute timer will start from the moment an Open league has reached the minimum number of participants for any given Incarnate Trial.
- This 5-minute delay will allow the Team-Up Teleporter system to look for more players queuing up for an Open League so there are potentially less players waiting in the queue after the start of the trial.
- The Trial will start when the timer reaches 5 minutes after the minimum number of participants has been reached or when the maximum number of participants has been gathered.
-
Pre I-20.5 when the lead selected the trial they where going to do the pop ups cvame up on everyone screen between 2-5 seconds later. Now after it seems to take forever. why is that and is there any thing i can do to speed it up?

Ill try the pm since i don't want to derail a subject mater and i cant start a new thread there. anyone in particular i should send it too? ill send it to Second Measure but anyone else?

Quote:Was hoping for a dev to respond........they dont often but im keeping my fingers crossedNo. i don't have that sort of authority.
Neither do any of the other players who post in this section.
i haven't seen any comments from the Developers stating that they have any plans to do so, but it's not impossible.

Will you ever change the invention salvage into a similar form as incarnations salvage is? Meaning that we would get 1-2 basic salvage that can be tuned into others.

Quote:Not realy. What it comes down to is you get a credit to earn an extra Empyrean per day that you don't. Similar to how when you log off you earn patrol xp.Sounds overly complicated. /unsigned
I'd rather see eligibility for Emps to be 1/24hr period. It would better suit sporadic play schedules without affecting static ones.
So, if someone runs a Lambda and completes it at 11:59pm on day 1, they can turn around and run another Lambda and complete it at 12:30am day 2. Then they would have to wait until 12:00am day 3 to get another Emp from a Lambda.
Basically, it's the same scheduling that Notices of the Wells have, just on a day to day frame.
Seriously, not all of us play at the same time of every day, devs. Cut it out with the 20 hour timers. -
Since trials require so many people and many cant be on every day to earn the daily allowed Empyrean every day. I suggest that a person would accumulate how many Empyrean they could get in a day based on if they got one the previous days. I made this graph to better show what i was thinking.
Day Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Total
__________________________________________________ _____________________
Player A 1/1 ____1/1_____1/1/______1/1_____ 1/1___1/1______1/1____7/7
__________________________________________________ _____________________
Player B 0/0_____0/0_____0/0_______0/0_____0/0___0/0______7/7____7/7
Note 1: That this graph in under the primes that there where both the people to run them and that it was done successfully.
Note 2: In no way dose this mean you can you get more then 1 Empyrean per run. Only that you do it multiple times and get a Empyrean each run on the same day based on if you did it the day before.
Note 3: This would in general this would work along the idea of a patrol ex system. In witch you would get a credit for an additional Empyrean for every 24 hours you don't do a trial and would lose one every time you do one successfully. -
A good pack. The only down side is that the auras cant be set not to just be there and not to appear and disappear. The other of the is no pre-made costume set. Beyond this is a good addition.

For the 81 months or higher i would love to see the ability to be able to earn a bade of my choosing. This being said it would not be applicable to any super group, any veteran, or any accolade badges outside of exploration or day jobs.
