    doh!

Mermy, just make a spider and grit it out until level 10 when you get a second costume slot you can make helmetless. If you choose crab powers you will have to have the legs on all of your costumes though.

    Wormhole?

    [ QUOTE ]

I know Nive swears by it too and he told me I had to have it. But I never use it!

    p.s. Don't tell Nive mk

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Bad Mermy!

Especially for a grav/storm! Cane one group into a corner and then wormhole the next group into your little play area! Its not awesome for all teams but it is great for some!
  4. Good post Mac. Very detailed and true.

I wish Castle would at least view and respond to some of your points but that won't happen. I have given up hope for pvp in this game.

[*]Builds can now be renamed: the select build screen at the trainer includes an option to rename your build.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Does it? I'm looking for it, and can't seem to find it anywhere. Is it invisible?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I cannot find this either.
  7. My permadom has a zonish build w/Aid Self atm because it was my only viable villain for a while. Now that I plan on doing arena duels and small format arena fights, I was thinking about switching in maneuvers and tactics to stop being so useless vs rads.

It seemed like in the vid vs the Ice/Rad that Mez hitting through RI but I couldn't be sure. Is tactics good enough to hit through a troller's RI? A defender's RI?
  8. Nice guide M3z. I have done jump-canceling but never all the time. I didn't know that it could be repeated based on a clearly defined method. Now to practice!
  9. The majority of players did not make that post. Ignore the vocal minority and ignore that post!!!!!

I am reminded of my history professor saying that one of the biggest problems of democracy is that a 51% majority can vote to put the other 49% to death.
  10. Name: Nive's Villains

    Currently Recruiting: Always recruiting.

    RP Level: no

PvP: Yes. Every member participates in pvp. So far it has been mostly zones pvp but we hope to participate in more arena matches. However this is difficult given the lack of good villain options in anything other than the 1v1 setting.

Theme/Concept: As the VG founder, I tried searching for a good VG for a while. While some seemed nice, there was always something missing. As I thought about it more, I deduced that they had below optimal quantities of Nive. I founded this VG in the hopes of having large amounts of Nive.

Activity: There has always been someone on that I have seen.

Requirements for Membership: Nive's Villains only allows the most elite and most Nive villains to join. Must be Nive to be considered for membership (even then it is not certain).

    Leadership: Purple Vagabond, Nasty Nive

    In-Game Contact(s): Global @Nive

Out-of-Game Contact(s): PM Nive_ on the forums or head to the DROW.org forums.

URL: None officially. Members tend to hang out with the DROW community/organization/cartel/herd of ponies.

    Coalitions: Yes.

Other Details: Nive's Villains has a fully functional base of 2 rooms and decorations. It is artistically designed by Nive to create the atmosphere the sewers.
  11. imo 2 is good. 4 was way too many to force someone to chug.

Actually, I would prefer you give Sturdies 100% repel resist. Make people think a bit more about what load out they should bring. But that may be too overpowered to require melee to bring less BFs to a fight vs mind doms/trollers.
  12. [ QUOTE ]

they just had to changed the mag on the repel. that's it. make it so that it requires one break free to get out of, 2 in domination.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yes.
  13. [ QUOTE ]

Might as well give up on 'em, Ex Some people simply refuse to be rational about these things.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know right? No matter how much you do for PvPers (lol?) they still complain. The devs should just not devote any time to pvp or consider it when they make changes to the game (lol?). That will teach them to voice their displeasure about the current state of things!!!
  14. Thats all well and good Zombie_Man but what is more likely to happen: A few key sets get ported to villain side or major reworking of most of the sets in the game? We have got to think in realistic terms here for balancing pvp.
  15. [ QUOTE ]

How is opening up new sets "going backwards"? I guess some in the small minority PvP community perhaps might think that way (surprise 95% of the whines here are about PvP). PvP'ers are usually the only ones that complain about others getting improvements to their characters I've noticed (really focused for me when people actually complained about ring of fire getting -fly). Which is part of why I hate PvP, but for PvE, more choices can not=going backward.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Many people are turned off to pvp because their characters are absolute crap in pvp. This is because the list of viable sets in pvp are very small. PvPers complain when the list of viable sets gets even smaller. Ring of Fire getting -fly highlights this. Fly is already slow as hell but when you add in all of the -fly that EVERY character has access to it is just crap. So yeah adding -fly in RoF was a bad move. In the same way, these changes further the divide between hero and villain which limits the number of viable sets available.

I just find it amusing that people get snarky when pvpers complain about balance issues and then point to how unbalanced it is as one of the reasons why they hate pvp.

    No,

this is pathetic. This is obviously a child who started this post. I feel sorry for the 13 pages of people who partook in it. What a challenge? LOL You are so impressive. You are so witty.

This needs to go away, people should be ashamed of themselves. If this is what the pvp crowd is adding, why do people wonder why the pve doesn't like it?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Welcome to the pvp forums. Thanks for your input. We value your opinion. Bye now.
