48 Month Veteran Reward Unveiled!

Wow and I was sad about my 3 month wait.
"Samual_Tow - Be disappointed all you want, people. You just don't appreciate the miracles that are taking place here."
According the Paragonwiki, the Shield Drones will give an extra 1.75end/sec, is that accurate?! That's more than doubling your base endurance recovery; not to mention the fact that it gives +2.5% Defense to all (I'm assuming it's all). Stacking this would be a bit too much.
That being said: The Shield Drone will be a godsend for my Energy/Energy Brute.
So, are we ever going to get an answer on why the 45 month reward was so skimpy?

Yeah many people thought it -was- a hoax until people provided pics and real data on the power effects.
I suppose it's just funny to me to see all the same questions spew forth again...

Fair enough considering the "non-award" we got for the 45 month Vet award.
But regardless of being 'verified' by the Devs this still -is- old news now.

You have to remember these pets have 10 HPs AND a -75% Resistance penalty.
If you even look at them funny they'll die.
Seems balanced to me.

As I recall most of every other characteristic about them matches the 36 month Vet Pets.
The recharge time for this power is similar to what that was (one minute maybe?).
Anyway if you want to waste a few seconds trying to recast these things in PvP be my guest.

Yeah it's +1.75% End recovery not +1.75 End/sec.
It's like an extra set IO set bonus.
But even if paragonwiki is right these pets are so fragile they'll only be good for squishy sniper types.

The pets get creamed in the first AoE wave i'd say. Least the melee guys pets do.

So with eight blue wisps on a team, if the bonuses stack (and that is a very big if) that would be +14% End rec, and +20% DEFENCE.
WHOA.
Kind of puts the Leadership pool in the shade, don't you think!
I foresee 'long term vet only' teams in the future...
I still would like to know if there's any way these could be made petcom-able.
Or the non-combat pets! Though I'd also like to see the non-combat pets get a bit of a revamp so I could at least, like...dismiss them without zoning. >.<
But yeah, this is tres cool. Hopefully a trend won't arise of teams seeking only those with the pets.

Pretty sure it was already confirmed the buffs affected only the owner. So the page the Devs wrote up is either wrong or they made them team buffs just in the last few days since they were discovered. Frankly I think the Dev write-up about that is wrong.
Then again if it is right this is a HUGE new advantage.

No doubt. This is a cool pet and all, and the buff is nice and all... but i doubt i'll ever use it... I can't think of ONE of my 25 active alts that'd have a wisp/fairy/clockwork/orb following he everywhere he goes... well maybe ONE... i do have a tech FF/Archer the orb could work with... but still...
Not that i'm bashing it, but to me... it's MEH.
