Now you sorta ruined it if the for the player that piece was done for and her good friend that purchased that piece for her if they wanted to show off their commission on these boards .
While its a nice thought to show off work of an artist you like the players birthday was just today and she just received the art in question in the wee hours of the morning .
As you posted in the players birthday thread on Virtue I think your well aware of that .
I find this in horriably bad taste that you would depreive someone else of a chance to post their own comission Espescially considering your not the artist , not the person whom purchased it and not the person it was purchased for .
To do so on the girls birthday when the art first showed up on Deviant Art and when she is likely off having fun is just sad .
At least have the decency to wait a few days next time if your so gung ho to show off art you have no part in and allow the Artist or person its meant for a chance to showcase something likely very special to her .
(Kichi is on the art forums from time to time usually to post videos and is a player on the Virtue Forums ,the gentleman that purchased the really nice art is Fearghas also of virtue . Kichi turned 18 today and if your enjoying her birthday art so much you might want to stop by her actual Birthday thread and wish her a happy 18th

Though I in no way condone their actions, it could possibly be that they had the artist on watch, saw that posted and thought it was a very good piece. Didnt really think about the other person... porbably wasnt attention, prolly was just a liking for the picture... still rude but semi-understandable
considering they posted the same thing in the persons birthday thread I hardly belive that to be the case .
I think most of us that spend hard currency to have something commissioned would at least like the decency of posting our comission first and not have someone attempt to show case it themselves or have the artist showcase it.
To have some yahoo come in and showcase art of a artist that dosn't post here and of art not of their character as well as depriving anoter forumite who's characters are in the picture the chance to show off \their comissioned art is just the lowest form of scumbaggery .
Just as a heads up, I talk to Serenity a bit, so I figured Id pass some things on that she isnt saying.
1) The picture was already posted a full nine hours before Serenity posted it. She wasnt trying to steal it from anybody. She liked the work, is all
2) She already had seen it, but waited for both Hugo to post it on DA and for Kichis gift to have been presented. She had already had it and waited for two people to post before her.
3) Although I personally dont know the reasons why, Hugo cant post on the City of X boards (no account? 
). He wanted her to post this on his behalf. So, consider it Hugo posting.
While theres still controversy around the decision to post it, Serenity told me a bit of this stuff, so I figured Id point it out. Perhaps you came off a bit too strongly, Scarf? Phrases like have the decency, deprive, and horribly bad taste make your post too much of an attack, me thinks.

Ah, yes, I can certainly understand the fear of Baby seal clubbers. Murderers though we are (and I confess that I do, on occasion, have baby seals brought to my chambers for the purpose of clubbing whilst listening to Baryshnikov), some of us are cool. Animosity possibly justified, I recommend benefit of the doubt. Even if 95% of PWNZ is jerks (which they arent), we arent risking baby seals here. Were risking five moments of our time with the potential pay off of getting to know really wonderful people. What you are risking and how big the risk are where the baby seal metaphor (and, with any luck, the baby seal itself) die.
After all, Ive met a fair share of jerks in the art forum. I saw someone refer to someone else as a scumbag that deserved no tolerance and was trying to ruin other peoples fun. If I hadnt looked past those accusations, I wouldnt have seen that both the accuser and the accused are great people that just misunderstood each other for a brief moment.
Sidenote 1: Yes, Im aware of awesomesauce. Im just not aware it could be shared. I now imagine us with champagne glasses filled with awesome sauce in one hand, bloody seal clubs in the other, sitting in a library and listening to relaxing piano by a fireside.
Sidenote 2: The only scarf I own in person is the gift my friend made me. Its an exact replica of Marks scarf from the play Rent. So good.
Ok I figured I'd throw my two cents into this all.
First off I have trouble believing Hugo told you to post the picture up in the virtue thread as I know Fearghas had specifically told him that he wanted to be the one to post it. That in itself makes me wonder about your claims of being Hugo's official anything. Also about that waiting 9hours thing I talked to Fearghas and he was telling me that you had posted the picture in there so fast after Hugo had put it up he didn't even have a chance to put it up himself. What I'm trying to say is I have a lot of trouble believing you waited even an hour after the picture had actually been posted.
That said I can appreciate showing off the awesome job he did in here especially since Hugo can't post on the mainboards but I don't think it was very nice of you to post in Kichi's birthday thread as that really was something for Fearghas to put in there for her.
All in all though I figure what had to be said has been said and we should all chillax now as it's Kichi's birthday and that seems to be reason enough to not argue.
