ok i use the time cards but i wana buy extra char slots is there a way to add a credit card to ur account without buying anything if anyone knows send me a ingame tell @captain Bling

Someone mentioned a few pages back that they hoped that CoH/V wouldn't lose customers because of this. Well, i'm new and i'm relatively certain this has just happened to me. I started on Saturday and purchased the Magic Costume booster. No booster and now it's telling me that my time has expired on the log-in and yet my account management screen says that I am valid till June 2. Well, sorry to say that if this is indeed the case, I won't be coming back. Hopefully not cuz i've been enjoying it.

[/ QUOTE ]As this person has created two other threads with this information, I'll point out that it has since been resolved; the person mistakenly created a new account instead of upgrading their trial account, and applied the magic booster code to the new account.

HELLO NCNC!!! This one's for you.

You might want to take the 7-11 logo off your page where it says they sell game cards. I didn't see any in my local store, so I got curious. I went into four other stores in the next few days, and NONE of them had any game cards. One employee at a store who actually plays CoX said they were thrown away a few months ago because they didn't sell.

NCNC, if you have a contract with 7-11, the stores in the Tampa, Florida area are violating it, big time.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I am having problem with my vetrens awards. I have yet to see the awards. Does anyone know why?

There are some problems that have occurred of late with Veterans Rewards not being awarded correctly, likely due to some of the work done on the PlayNC website.

You need to either file a /petition in game or file a support ticket on the PlayNC website to get this corrected.

is going to get cleared up? I've got a trial account and am trying (and repeatedly failing) to buy the full account. I'd be happy to visit retail partners, but either they don't have it, or they want to charge me full price + ridiculous shipping.

How much of a span of time does "repeatedly" cover? If it's just over this weekend, it may be that they have an error on their end that won't be fixed until the business week starts on Monday.

Regardless, nothing should happen to the characters on your Trial account, even if there's a delay between expiration of the Trial period and Upgrade of the account to subscribed status.

Are there any other details you can give us about your situation?

It's been going on for 8 days now. Trial account is going to run out soon and I do actually enjoy playing the game, but if I can't buy a real account then I'm going elsewhere.

I'm trying to buy via paypal. I login to my account, got to the store, click which version I want to buy (architect, in this case) and then it starts to check me out, I click confirm from the paypal page, and then I get the message.

Thinking it might be a paypal issue, I also tried with a credit card. Same results.

My wife had this same issue a couple times when purchasing upgrades, and I'd like to join her in the game, but if they don't sort this out soon, I'm going to talk her into playing WoW or something else with me instead.

Are you starting your own Master Account, or adding a second account to your wife's Master Account?

Edit: And if you haven't tried this already, go to their account support page and click on 'Ask a Question' to start a support ticket.

I hope this gets resolved soon, it's good to hear from people just coming into the game and that they are enjoying playing it (billing issues not withstanding. )

He has his own master account.

And I tried a support ticket. The response I got was to ask me for the transaction/order ID, even though I specifically stated in the support ticket that the transaction was unable to complete and thus I did not have any order ID.

It would be helpful if they would actually READ the help request before asking for more information.

I'd request it to be escalated, and include the information during each contact.

There is the option of phone support, though I don't know where you are located, so not sure how long of a long distance call this might be. All else fails, PM one of the Community Reps like Niv, or Avatea, or TheOcho. While they cannot resolve it, they can likely send you in a more helpful direction.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I've sent in the ticket, but I'm rapidly approaching not caring.

They have until my husband's trial account expires to fix the problem (or at least send a response to one of the support tickets that actually acknowledges the problem) or they lose a potential customer and an existing customer.

I've talked to several other people who have had this same problem purchasing upgrades. Seems the reason there is no influx is a lot of people can't purchase accounts.

Also getting the same problem - "We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your order at this time et cetera et cetera and so forth." I'm getting it trying to prepurchase Going Rogue, actually. Kinda frustrating since it's 'tomorrow' already, and my wife in the meantime has prepurchased *her* copy with the same PayPal account I was using (and before people say something about time limits or whatever, I was getting this error both before *and* after she bought her pre-order)...

Would love to know whyyyy it's happening, I really want my dual pistols! T.T

FYI...

The link to "My Account" at the top of the official game website (http://www.cityofheroes.com/en.html) is pointing to the wrong location. It throws a security certificate warning since this is not the correct address.

Anyone needing to do account stuff should access their account via the "My Account" link on the NCSoft.com website instead.

I've sent in a support ticket about this and also PM'ed devs here, in addition to calling NCSoft tech support.

Just a heads up for you all.

Good to know. I know I've had problems with access to my Account for about 2.5 years. I wanted to pre-purchase and come to back the game again but the page was "not found".

My friend who lives in Las Vegas said he still can't access to his account to re-activate but I have a feeling it's because he's been using the link from the CoH website. I'll tell him to try ncsoft page. I know I reactivated from the ncsoft page because I was there to check announcements on "billing issues", which I found none. T_T

This is a bit ridiculous. There are customers who want to purchase/reactivate the game but the billing page doesn't work? I run a pretty successful website myself and I know I would go CRAZY if this happens. I probably lose sleep over it because it's like having a store without check-out!


What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

I am having this issue with a new account I recently started. It has been about a week now with this error every day on several different cards I know for a fact work (and have plenty of funds on). My main account has no issues, but my new one I can't buy anything (AFTER I successfully bought the going rogue full collection. The same card I used for that is giving me the same error now) Not having vet rewards is bad enough but now I can't even have ninja run. THE HUMANITY!

I also submitted a ticket, updating it each day this has happened. I have yet to recieve a response (it is monday now so I expect a response today). Is this how ncsoft greets new accounts? Been a long time since I had a new account lol.

I have no issue buying things at retail stores like game time cards, but I was able to only buy one booster after coming back from being gone almost 2 years.


The problem has to be the online store from NCSoft.

There is no other explanation. They either having code issues or trouble connecting to financial institutions.

It actually sounds like the financial institutions do not like how NCSoft tries to handle transactions and flags them as possibly fraudulent.
That would explain it.

Not everyone has the same bank or even the same payment method. The only common denominator is the NCSoft online store.

They've got a problem that is breaking down between ordering and charging the account for an item.


They've just got to pull their heads out of their butts and try it for themselves on a new account to see that it is seriously broken, cutting into their revenue and needs to be fixed immediately.

We can't do anything. They'll finally realize something is up when their last quarter sales figures take a nosedive, or are much lower than predicted, despite Going Rogue's release.
