Yeah, I think I'm gonna miss the meet and greet because of it. I'll most likely be bugging Cuppa and Lighthouse at the NC booth the entire 3 days so they won't miss me at the get together.
"hey cuppa, what's your favorite toon? hey cuppa, can i have that pin? hey cuppa, you got any free coh t-shirts? hey cuppa, can i log into my game account here at the booth? hey cuppa, you wanna run some missions? hey cuppa, why you look so annoyed?"
I will be there along with my gf. I've had a blast there every year and it should be great now that they have a venue that (hopefully) is large enough to fit us all.

Yeah, that's not a particularly good assessment of the comic there _Ilr_.
PA's catchphrase used to be "You wouldn't get it" and its one of those sites you either do, or don't. Dumb luck doesn't have much to do with the sucess the PA guys have had. Dumb luck doesn't take you from writing a webcomic in your spare time, to it being a full time job, merchandise, a million dollar plus raising charity for children's hospitals, a successful convention and your own videogame.

As an aside: I'm always amazed when success stories such as Penny Arcade and Megatokyo are scoffed and ridiculed. Tycho, Gabe, and Piro set a new standard when they all went full-time on their respective comics, running stores for their products and getting their stories printed. Personally, I think it's just jealousy.
As far as PAX goes: I'm in Florida, and broke, so obviously won't be attending. Hope everyone has fun there!
My bf and I are likely to stop by Saturday. I'll wear my villains shirt to show my adoration.
