Regarding the Admin Channel For Invasion Messages
Yeah I miss the RED invasion messages. The GREEN ones are easily missed as they blend in with almost all other generic messages. If not RED how about a sound associated with an Invasion message much like the siren going off in the zone where it is happening, only shorter of course. Something to make those of us listening to actual in game sounds take notice.
Try out these AE arcs: 58376, 121698 & 143827
Badges? Did someone say badges? Sign me up!
I am so much happier with taking the alerts off the ADMIN channel. At least this way I can choose to see it or not and it no longer gets in my way if I'm not interested.
Thank you devs.

Yeah me too. It gave you a sense of urgency, which added to the imersion. That's gone now. Putting it in System was a bad idea. Too easily missed and that sense of urgency has been neutered.
I don't know. It kind of lost its "sense of urgency" to me after the 10,000th time of continuously popping up on my chat window. Too much of anything is not good.
Now, if it had only happened, say, once every 2-3 hours, that'd be another story.
After last Sunday's invasion, I totally HATE the new design. We fight the Rikti & it has left the area & people say
"Where do we go next?"
"I dunno"
"I think it's in Talos"
"No it's left there"
"I can't find it, it's hiddin among all the other green comments"
"Let's go to PI, it always goes there last"
"Not always"
and we spend 5 minutes scrolling back until it leaves the area we could have gone & enters a new one.
There are only 4 more days. Can't we have it back in red for them? Or at least, can I make Vanguard my Friend? Have it show up in the friend channel? The Heavy artillery are hard enough to find as it was, now it's almost impossible when no one knows where to go.
Maybe I should have objected when people were complaining about the Admin alerts, but I was happy, so I was silent.

Still don't understand what the big deal is. I think people need to relax and just put it out of their mind.

This is the kind of stuff most people are griping about because the ADMIN channel spams every open chat window. No legible conversations in Team, Supergroup, Etcetera...

QFT - Please please please make an alerts channel.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't know what your problem is, but for me they only appear in the upper chat box, if it annoys ppl so much it isn't hard to change your chat windows channels.

Admin messages are shown in ALL chattabs. Every frigging single one of them. No matter how you edited them. If you got the admin messages on only the top tab, then your game is bugged. That or you have mistaken the newly system messages with the admin messages.
Personally I'd still say put them in the friends-channel (and change the title of course and disable us being able to post messages in it). For whoever is complaining the green messages is too easily to be overlooked at. Not because it's easily overlooked at, but more for the fact system bombs you with many different messages. Especially if you're fighting many mobs a lot.
The only ones that I ever did see using the friends-channel were complete n00bs. Nobody else is using that channel.

I've already made the suggestion to use the light purple text that appears in the System Channel when you use commands such as /whoall /cmdlist /loc /whereami and so on. Try one of those commands to see what I mean. I think that it the short term (until they can give this its own channel) it's the best solution.

I agree.
The admin warnings couldn't be turned off. I had an issue with that, along with many others.
You can create a new tab and put only server communication in it thus solving this problem you are having on your own.

Incorrect. As it is tied to the System channel now, it is almost entirely worthless. Every single enemy defeated, zone sub-section entered, or mission goal achieved will produce an entry in the System channel. While I do have a tab devoted only to System and Rewards messages, I never notice Invasion messages any more because they are buried in "You have defeated X" spam.
Yeah, I understand that the old method annoyed you. However, they may as well not even exist as it stands today.
You can't pay attention enough to spot the big [VANGUARD] label? Yeesh.
It scrolls by in about the amount of time it takes 1 AoE to finish activating.

While I'm on a mission? No, I can't. There are simply too many things being defeated and generating system messages. It isn't reasonable to expect me or anyone else to leave that channel on 24/7 just in case a zone invasion occurs, because it would require half of my chat window to do this. I'm getting enough player chat from various other channels that it isn't reasonable to put all of it into one pane. PinnBadges alone moves pretty fast most of the time, after all
Honestly, I'm not sure how some people are able to leave system chat on permanently without going mad.
If you're on a mission, then no way would you get out of the mission, cross the zone, travel to the next zone, etc, to get to where the raid is happening anyway.

Well, that depends on whether I'm soloing a boring mission at that point Of course, for some of my lowbies who don't have the invasion badges yet, I'd rather get them the badges than slog through a mission most of the time if I'm not committed to a group. In any event, if I'm in game I tend to be either in a mission or on my way to one almost 100% of the time.
Vanguard messages tied to the system channel isn't a game breaker for me, but it is definitely an annoyance. Since the changeover happened, I haven't noticed the early warning for an invasion once. The few I've gotten to were all cases where I accidentally stumbled into an invasion in progress. Scrolling back through my chatlog showed that it had been posted, of course; I was just busy beating a few dozen guys into smears when it was sent and it got lost in the sea of green.
Can't we, I dunno, put invasion announcements in the Request channel? I seriously can't remember the last time I saw anybody use that one.

And how is that any different than before? Would you really have noticed the Admin message if it occurred at the same time as an AoE? It wasn't the color I had a problem with, it was the inability for me to option out of receiving the darn things. They could make the System channel Red too for all I care.
I have no problem noticing the 2-3 lines of rikti warnings amongst the single lines of "you have defeated X."
Actually, yes. I would have, and did notice them. But that is because they were showing up in channels that I actually leave active
What I'd like is the ability to have the Vanguard messages pop up in a channel that has *no other activity*, or a minimal amount, so I can add it to an always-on tab without spamming the bejeebers out of myself. Thats all.

I'm in Atlas on my shiny new lvl 2 whatever (remember the alts that they say we should make?) and an invasion frakking red-side (NO bearing on my heroic toons WHATSOEVER!) is interfering with my efforts to gather a team? Bad design.

You don't know of even one person who character-jumps to get a certain character in on an invasion??? I jump from Hero to Villain all of the time so I appreciate the two-sided communication on invasions. Of course, understanding that you don't give a rats whisker about how anyone else plays, I can see why it would annoy you.
