Discussion: June 22nd City Scoop Edition!
I love the new background. So much easier on the eyes.
Indeed it is. Keep it up, guys! Love reading this stuff!
Yea; background caught me off guard at first, but I realized it kind of looks more like an actual paper.
One mild concern: the puzzle at the end. While i'm sure there is a majority that know how to do the puzzle, perhaps a small blurb of instructions if/when this type of puzzle is done again?

The basics of Sudoku can be found here.
Please note that the numbers 1-9 are merely symbolic of 9 different variations on symbols. No mathematical skill is required, and the pictures do not provide too much of an additonal challenge.
Sudoku is less like crosswords or mathematically based riddles. They follow similar logic employed in the classic "Block Moving" puzzles of certain video games.
Hope that helps! Post any requests for help here, and I'll see what I can do.
Always a good read guys. Keep up the good work
I knew I should have edited that post.. let me try to explain: I know how to, but there may be those that don't know how to do a sudoku. All that's in the article is the puzzle and the 9 pics representing a number. My suggestion was that if/when it's done again, put the rules (or a link to it) next to/above/below/whatever to the actual puzzle, instead of on a completely different post that people may or may not see.

Noted. Thank you very much for the feedback.
Is there a printer friendly version of Sudoku puzzle? Great issue by the way
Forgive me if this has been answered before, but what is the point of the 'Featured Collector' interview? I doubt anyone got anything out of it and it just seems to be a way for people from the Fan Art section to give each other e-high fives. If it was an interview with an artist then that might be more interesting, but i doubt anyone cares why some person on the internet decided to sepnd their disposable income on a drawing of their MMO character.

Just replace the pictures with the numbers.
The new background is big improvement, kudos to whomever came up with that.

Sorry, it was so graphically oriented that I didn't convert it to a print-friendly version. The original submission did include the number guide, which I kept in so that people can make their own with a pencil and paper.

Well Solos it's because there is 2 sides to the Fanart section. One is the artists, and another is the collectors that get art from em. If you were to be a part of that section you'd understand. It's all about art and thats another aspect of it. Has nothing to do with high fives.

I agree with TA. Artists and Artfans both have a story to tell. Like why comic collectors buy comics. For some it's the art, for others it's the story that grips them.

So many servers, so little time.
Wow! was it my double damage weekend idea that made it into the scoop or are there others that thought that it would be a different twist too?

Sweet, my art made it in "This Week In Art"! I feel unworthy next to 8Baller's Rikti render though. 3D artists get mad props from me.

I thought your piece was worthy to note! Gratz on making it into the top 5! Keep the great art comin!
Was nice to see in the interview section that someone was able exchange a euro account for a US one...
I had no such luck when I got the European version by mistake.

ok- thats cool , but um, no1 knows those people.. i was happy to see a famous/notorious person from a server featured on the behind the mask this week (stryker) every1 knows him- THAT was interesting... but every1 else that has been featured- i was like (and yes, this is just my opinion- and yes, you can call me out on it if you like) who cares? do the majority of people even know who these guys are?
i dunno, i would rather see people who are famous/infamous featured (ie, new age knight, the legendary j-man, osha, progamerusa) people who do things for their server... not just people randomly picked from atlas....
hey it's just my 2 cents..
