lol The only thing changing is the choices i make. I have just stopped investing my money into art is all. Life happens every second it's true but it's all in the choices we make and has nothing to do with 'rolling with it' at all.
I am and will always be an Artwhore and will continue to support the arts in other ways thats for sure. Afterall, i'd say 310 pieces is a good stopping point wouldn't you?

I think I meant it in the sense that you made the choice to adapt to the situation (or "roll with it" as I had worded it) rather than continue in the same direction and inevitably end up in circumstances that you might regret finding yourself in. To continue the analogy that may be knocked out cold or battered and broken in a ditch somewhere.
Anyway, life (which is as much our own making as the universe itself) was carrying you down a certain path and you decided that you didn't want to keep heading down that path. From the sound of things you made a good call. Anyway, I hope things work out for the best.

Sass... uh... I wasn't TRYING to be sexist. This is what my wife does when I get waay too caught up in something and end up spending more than I should. It's not that it's "always a woman" but that SOMEBODY (usually one's partner) notices the trend and points it out, in a very no-nonsense reality check manner.
This is one of those "you're in a relationship, so this WILL happen" type of things. As such, we're joking in a "ha ha only serious" kind of way, OK?
And no I wasn't saying you'd coerce your man, or intimidate him into giving up his passion. I think we all know TA better than that. And most of us should know YOU better than that too.

Actually, as a layperson (in this sense, a layperson being someone who isn't TA and isn't you) it's still kind of funny. At least, the first toss-away "blaming" of woman was funny...it just got less so as the point was hammered again and again. It's in that "again in again" where sexism and immaturity may be making its bed.
TA, I hardly knew ye. Well, I knew of...ye...but I never really knew you. I merely admired your obsession and its end result from afar. I'm really only just getting into the art thing but I'm sure my mini-obsession will burn out long before I hit the three digit mark. Character art is a nice luxury that I can afford at present but there are certainly other things that I sh/could be doing with that cash. After I get my fill, I'll be out doing them I would imagine.
And unless history proves false, there will not be a woman to blame. I haven't been able to use that excuse in some time. But if any of you happen to know a nice girl...

As it happens this is something that TA did entirely of his own volition and, funnily enough, waited until I was out of town for him to enact.
Surprsed me just as much if not MORE than everyone here!
Yeah it's worthy to mention that i came to this decision all my own and if the truth was told, Sassy loves the fanart as much as me. You guys should know me by now. I am and always will be an artwhore! I love it! I can't get enough of it and many times i can lose myself in it.
It's in the purchasing of Fanart where my gallery ends. Thats where the integrity breakdown occurs for me anddoesn't stack up to who i really am in real life. I found myself making it a priority instead of my in life responsibilities. I'm just trying to clean it up is all.
My gallery remains and will be there for posting any giftart i may recieve and it'll serve as something great that i experienced and it's mostly due to this community. I'll use it for updates about things going on for me and the scoop so the gallery in effect isn't closed but the fact that i won't be purchasing art anytime soon is the closed part.
Prof thanks man for clearing that up as i don't want anyone to think my baby had anything to do with my decision. I'm always around if anyone wants to talk art though! You know i love it!

All kidding aside, it was just a joke.
I wouldn't have said it if I thought anyone would react badly. I've been here 3+ years, we joke around all the time, *I* joke around all the time... so I figured it was safe.
Just goes to show one never knows where someone else might have their own personal landmines, but I honestly think anyone who's read more than half a dozen posts by either me or Soul Train should be able to tell when we're kidding around.
