I dont agree with having some of the growth powers shrinking the hero, its growth you dont grow shorter!! Who cares about not being able to see part of your toon in caves, we all hate cave anyways, but they will see your massive foot coming down on thier heads. I might be alone in the aspect of wanting to have all of the powers increase the size of the hero but I would love to be so big that it turns everyone else into anklebitters.

sort-of wasted one of my votes. I couldn't care less about Electric Hammer, but I've been waiting years for an electric hero melee set. I don't especially want it to be a hammer.
I don't like weapons powers: just say no to it if it's a blade (energy, dual, or otherwise), spear, ball-and-chain or what-have you. Psionic weaponry is the only one I'll give a pass, since it could get creative and varied.
I agree that I'd really like more of a description of some of the ideas behind these powersets. When I voted for Density, I was thinking "Vision!"... but that also means a phasing power that isn't, y'know. Useless.
I voted for Street Fighting because I know that people have wanted more than one melee style for years. There are the Iron Fists of the world, and then there are the Power Men.
I also voted for Growth, although what I really wanted was Shrinking. I know these would be a pain to implement, but they just sound so! Neat!
Despite some hitches with how the poll went, I was glad to see this. There are some neat ideas in these powersets.
i think that rnergy blade will be a great scrapper power i always try to make scrappers but i doont like any of the primary powers
Yes, PLEASE more powerset sharing. In no particular order, I want:
- An Electric Tanker
- A Storm Summoning Mastermind
- A Plant Controller
- A Mind Blaster
And more than anything else? CONTROLLER-SPECIFIC SECONDARIES. (*ahem* Had a cough there.) They have always, always felt like they had hand-me-down secondaries. Give me something that goes thematically with Gravity or Earth.

In missions I'm not the only one who can see through the walls at baddies on other side am I.
Matbe I've said to much. I figured it was a bug. But it sure is handy.
Hate to see them "fix" I like having x-ray vision or danger sense. I percieve 5 baddies ones a boss on other side of this wall.
I just don't want people bugging it it really makes things cool at least I think. Yeah I role play the "bug" and consider it a power. I play mostly cyborgs and he has echo location/sonar system.

Ditto. Here are my reasons:
Growth: I just want to see what the devs have it mind. I can't quite fathom how this would work.
Street Fighting: For a long time I've wanted a "beat them up" powerset other than Dark Melee and Martial Arts. My very first Scrapper was modeled after Spider-Man using Dark Melee and Super Reflexes. Worked okay, but thematically I would have liked a heroic melee style that didn't involve drawing on the "negative zone" for its power.
(I do wonder, though...why not simply add Super Strength as a Scrapper primary? It works for Brutes and Tanks, and it would require very little work for something that will probably see a LOT of usage, in my opinion.)
Shield Fighting and Shield Defense: For a Tanker to have a Shield is just logical, and if the devs are going to put in the work required to make a shield attack, they may as well add in the defensive side, too. Plus, these are things I'd like to see as both Scrapper and Tanker sets, and I figure that putting a shield set in one archetype is the first step toward eventually getting it in both.
Radiation melee!!
The enrichment center reminds you that the weighted companion cube cannot speak. In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak the enrichment center urges you to disregard its advice.
I know the new ones will be awesome, but in the meantime how come we can't toss some over that already make sense?
Tankers Primary:
Energy Aura - perfect to go along with energy melee....
Scrappers:
Ninjitsu - fits with so many of the primaries I wish it would be converted over.
Honestly I'd make another scrap and tank with those two power sets added over right now. Until the new sets are released I havn't even been playing I've been through almost all the powersets of every archetype now, even khelds.
The ones above are great but another one should be a defensive set that has to do with Metal, like colossus or armor like iron man, something that has to do with metal armor.
Second the defensive set of metal or metal adding armor for each different armor. More of a modern tech armor, with the tier 9 being like granite where it is a toggle but very heavy.

I say Psionic and one of the blades, and most definitely Growth. If you do Growth you have to make available native american type costums, GO SUPER FRIENDS!
Also suggestion for new sets. Metallic morphing, ie Terminator 2, I think a tanker who's hands turn into blades, axes, hammers and what not, would kick butt. Plus you could have A metallic defense, where the body turns into different metals, iron for S&L defense, Gold for Energy, even a plutonium field, that acks likeblazing aura, etc...
Lastly scrappers need nunchuks, I mean come on, this should be obvious. Maybe even make a melee illusion set. That is it for me now
Hey, here are some of my ideas for melee poll:
-Whip/Chain = can have lash attacks, 360 attacks, grab.throw baddies, etc.
-Elemental Fighting = can have like 2 powers using each element Ex. tsunami kick, pyro punch, hydro-strike, frozen axe kick, etc.
-Animal Abilities = can use powers from every different animal Ex. hawk's talon, tiger swipe, elephant stomp, monkey kick/punch, etc.
what about animal pets for MM and animal control for trollers... yes i know it could be done druid style that's why i said it
I have an idea...Put these sets to the side and finish the Villain Epic ATs that us Villains have been waiting for for 2 issues...Now thats an idea.

I would think that giving Tanks and Scrappers the things they should have had from the beginning, and the new things that were added later (but given to just Brutes and Stalkers) would be considered actual attention.

Note I specifically said I'm not against new Powersets for Defense. My point is that there is an *illusion* of a lack of Powersets when, in fact, there in no lack of Powersets in the Defense Class. The illusion of a lack of Powersets comes from the bad decisions of the Devs to not allow more sharing of those Powersets in the past. This is a mistake which seems to be rather easily rectified and alleviate the overly restrictive choice between only 4 Powersets each. More sharing at this point is not a cop out, it's doing now what should have been done.

And if they did the sharing that they were supposed to have done, you'd have 6 and 7 powersets in the Defense (just like you do for Melee... there is *no* shortage of Powerset options for Tanker Secondaries and Scrapper Primaries); then there wouldn't be this perceived lack of love because you would have started with more Powersets and you would have been given a new Powerset or two when CoV came out. If the Tank started out with 5 Defense choices and was given an option of one of the new ones from CoV, then you would not be feeling so unloved now that you'd be demanding something new and exclusive.

You got to be kidding me. You complain that the Tank only has four choices in their Primary but the MM should settle with 5 because their *newer*? There are only 5 Summons Sets. Period. There are 10 Defense Sets. The Devs wrongly limited Tanks to 4 of those 10. Easily rectified. Coming up with brand new sets... not so easy. Tanks could easily wind up with 7 Sets within a year if sharing is more allowed. It would take 18 months for two more Summons Sets to be created.

Newness to the game is a false criterion. Just because you already played around with Dark Armor, Electric Armor, or Energy Aura on other ATs doesn't mean giving them to Tankers isn't bring them up to parity with other ATs.

Again, I'm not against new Sets. But first let's do the sharing that there should have been. As I mentioned above, there are 10 Ranged Powersets and 3 ATs share them and each has 7 Sets. And even though Ranged is the primary of two of those ATs, neither of those two have a unique Set for their AT like Tankers have Ice Armor only to themselves.
There's love that need to go around to the other Sets. They want feedback, here's mine: Share the Defense Powersets like you should have and stop this nonsense that there's a lack of options. And if you're going to come up with new Powersets, look at those Classes where there are only 5 or 7 Powersets before you fill out one that already has 10.
Of course this whole hullaboo is even more aburd in that they're looking to create two new Melee Sets which already has the most Sets and in which the Scrappers and Tanks already have a healthy 6 or 7 choices.

*New powersets have long been needed. mostly but not just for tanks and scrappers. Of the ones suggested....

Since the term Martial Arts entails many different "forms" (karate, tae kwon do, jujitsu, etc.) of the "Art" and specifies none y not just revise Martial Arts power set to b more authentic and real rather then all kicks?

I chose Psionic Weaponry, since there's barely any psychic-based attack sets.
I also chose Street Fighting, because there have been more then one occasion where I've wanted to play a hand-to-hand fighting scrapper, but wanted a more western-styled (not wild west kinda western) as opposed to the eastern-styled Martial Arts.
Also, the idea of using bats, broken bottles etc. I read a while back sounds kinda odd. It sounds far too under-handed and not heroic and all to me, from more of a logic standpoint.
For the defensive sets...
I chose Growth just because that sounds like way too much fun.
I also chose Willpower because the implications sounds cool...a defensive set that concentrates more on psionic then other sets would be nice.
All the sets in the polls sound cool. The only one I really don't want to see is Dual Blades, because there's WAY too many medieval-style weapons as it is. I mean...Scrappers have two swords already (Broadsword and Katana)!
I would have REALLY liked to see an offensive set that concentrates on Toxic damage since that gets used less often then psionic, but maybe that could be saved for the ever-anticipated villain epic ATs?
Hmm, tough choices.
I'll tell you what I don't want first:
*Electric Hammer: Just a skin swap from the stone mallet animations? No thank you. Tell me this is like Thor's hammer and maybe we'll talk .
*Vibration & Density Control - Sorry guys, but I think you'd take the easy way out with these and they'd play just like one of the other defense or resist sets.
So lets at least go with something that would be visually different. My votes (sorry I'm voting twice, because I can't ignore the shields...arrrgh Cap needs our support! ).
