i'm upset that Dual Pistols wasn't a choice. i think Dual Pistols would be a good close range powerset for a scrapper or stalker. if you are going to poll us , put our requests on the poll as well. Please.

Positron explicitly stated that Pistols will never be a scrapper or stalker set. We may eventually see it for Corruptors or possibly Blasters.

Here are some suggestions that are not in the poll, since they asked for that as well.

Alter Physical Structure powers: As many sets as you want to put into the game, each based on a different type of material/energy/element. Quite a few are well suited to Tankers. EG: Alter Physical structure: Metal, Stone, Crystal.
But anything goes here. Fire, water, ice, light, plasma, smoke...etc., etc. Some would be very difficult to code, others probably wouldn't take much at all.

Another possibility; Stretching/Elasticity, aka Mr. Fantastic. All sorts of possibilities here, from ranged attacks ( stretching out fists? For a scrapper?!!?), to defense bonuses, hold attacks, and fun travel power options (Tweak Super Jump to bouncing like a ball.)

That's all for now. If I think of some more, I'll post em.

All those powers are cool and all but what i really want for a melee power set is whips. Whips would be awesome! Also earth blasting would be cool for future too!

Okay, first, I do want more weapons...

I really, really, really do...

but seriously guys...can Scrappers get some power based stuff first?


Psy weaponry (so long as we aren't saddled with a device that focuses it) is a good idea.

Energy Blade could be good unless it is the light saber gadget style, same with Electric Hammer: if it is a hammer made of electrical powers, cool...if it is an electrified hammer...same old same old...

Now, I'll tell you the special effects we need for scrapper now that you're offering us Psychic:


Fire

Ice

Energy

Electricity

Radiation

Give us two or three power sets from those special effects (we don't NEED the ATs to "own" any special effects any more, their roles are well-defined enough that we can finally escape that limit) THEN go back to the plethora of weapons.

Weapons are easy, just look to real life, but they're also the same thing as what we got already.

I don't care if it is a whip, a spear, a shield, a pair of knives, a pistol or even a pair of kamas....

A weapon is a weapon is a weapon is a weapon.

Look at the ATs and their pool of special effect in the primaries:

I voted Shield Melee/Shield Defense...
I want those two powers over all other rumored powersets incoming since the game began. Ever since we saw Blue steel in KR we, my wife and I that is, have wanted a pair of Shield Scrappers...
I woul dlove to see this happen!

I would like them to change the force field style...its green and ugly...they should make the force fields like the ones in fantastic four that Sue Storm has..that would be cool. i dont really like the graphics of the ones now..

do yall agree??

From what you have listed I really like

Eletric Hammer and Ball and Chain for offensive

Willpower and Vibration for defensive

I would LOVE to see whips, chain, things of that nature.

Personally I'd rather not see Shields unless they combine Forcefield and the Shield into a Forceshield set. It will be a translucent energy circle like the one Cap carried when he lost his Vibranium/Adamantium one. Now that I'd take... regualr shield = meh.

It would be pretty cool to have a water power set..it should have great graphics and just different. like a water aura would be pretty tight..like having water just flow around you...that would be awesome!!! DO IT!!!

Well I always thought wings should be a power pool with both offensive and defensive sets. I think we've already seen what a hit they are in game, why not make a useful set. I particulary like how they were used as a weapon in Underworld 2. Loved the way he pearced and stabbed people with his wings.

I agree completely...i mean i know it'd take alot to do it but it would be awesome to be able to customize your powers...i think alot of ppl would like that..i mean everyone with the same power is the same...there should be slight differences with everyone with everything...but thats just my opinion.

Hello,
Everyone has some pretty good ideas and theories on what the new powersets should look like. Me, personally, I like the ball and chain and growth ideas. B/C, definitely a cool concept and growth...for us oldies who clung onto our Sega Genesis systems and the legendary Alter Beast...

POWER UP!!! (thats how I see the growth power, more of a physical growth in muscle mass with each power , rather then a giantess growth) What do you all think, can you all see a 8-person team of 10-foot muscled giants/giantesses!? :P

Its difficult to make a choice when u have name of a power set only. A discription of power effects would allow onto choose better.

For example: Electric hammer: will one of the power AOE attack that drains end but allows moderate damage.

Another power AOE for electric hammer is a thunder clap that stuns and reduces ACC .

An extreame attack would be a hammer throw in which u throw the hammer at foe and does extreme damage and some end reduction. the n the hammer returns to u.

But without decription of possible powers its diffuclt to make a choice.

COH/COV is going to have to make major changes to compete with the upcoming release of both Marvel Comics and DC Comics own MMO's.

Shapeshifting would be AWESOME!!! that would be a very interesting power...like ppl going around being able to change their form even when they arent fighting. I think the ppl of COH should put that into consideration!

Having played an invulnerable/superstrength tank to level 50, I would like to see the Willpower set include at least some small or not so small level of resistance to psionics.

I scraped the base of frustration trying to tank against AVs such as the Clockwork King, only to die to a psionic alpha strike, with no protection against it whatsoever.

Additionally, an ability to exercise some level of "mind control" over minions would be cool as well.

I was thinking a morphing melee set would be fun. For instance hammer thrust (hand morphs into a hammer), axe slice (hand morphs into an axe), blade spin (you get the picture), etc.

For defense a materials powerset. For instance diamond skin (final power temperarily impervious) stone skin (lethal, smashing protection), silicon (psi portection), etc

In addition to adding powers to the existing archetypes, I'd like to see a new hero/villain archetype called The Veteran. This could be the 48 month Veteran Reward.

Instead of just the normal two power pools to pick from, The Veteran has five power pools to choose powers from.
