May 9th Update!
Yay?
Why Silence Howl?? Bring it back.
Could you maybe post a list with all the files that this patch modified?
I need to have a friend send them to me since my updater doesn't work correctly.
I'm not looking for help on the updater, just the file list.

You're probably going to need the whole works. Patches often will make minor changes to nearly every data file in the game. The updater might even get pershnickety if an unchanged file has a different 'modified on' date than the rest of the files.
Me, I'm not going to miss howl's noise, and in fact I wish they'd go one step further and get rid of slap/smack while they're at it. Emote abuse drives me up the wall.
Arc #41077 - The Men of State
Arc #48845 - Operation: Dirty Snowball
Sometimes emote abuse is funny depending on who you're friends are. I honestly think they should leave howl's noise on and come out with a tool set that reads the piggs and brings up the sound file(s) and allows you to silence them yourself.... did I just request a no no?

Howl gets silenced, yet the Radios, Tarzan, and others that make noises don't.. >.> It's specisim man! They're against wolves and dogs! >.>
One of the things I didn't see in the patch notes is that the Salvage and Recipe reward animations are now color coded to match the rarity of the drop.
This is kinda funky because Red flashing on your screen usually means something's wrong, and not something good just happened.
It's not red, it's orange. I'm not sure how it would look to someone who is colorblind, though.
And yeah, it should be added to the patch notes under Inventions:
Added color-coding to Invention salvage and recipe drop notifications:
white = common salvage/recipe
yellow = uncommon salvage/recipe
orange = rare salvage/recipe

There is really no difference in this game between Red and Orange (this from a color-deficient person). So without something to compare too (and even then sometimes) they look the same

Yeah, that's what I thought.
Maybe they could keep the colors (for the majority who are not colorblind) and change the text to be more precise:
Common salvage found!
Uncommon salvage found!
Rare salvage found!
Substitute "recipe" where appropriate. I'd remove the word "invention" from the notification because it's just too damn long. :P
For base salvage, simply:
Base salvage found!
Although base salvage can be common, uncommon and such I don't think it would be as important to alert players right at the moment vs. letting them check their inventory after.
I suggested in the Wentworth's UI thread that the colors be changed due to the confusion factor.
White, Yellow, Red typically mean progressing levels of difficulty in almost every other aspect of the game.
White, Yellow, Easily-confused-for-Red-Orange mean, in the context of the inventory system, increasing rarity and presumably value.
I suggested a Grey, Blue, Green color scheme that I thought made a hair more sense.
I would propose a slight variation of your color scheme to better match the one used to denote level of NPC enemy in the game. The notifications would look like this:
Gray: COMMON SALVAGE FOUND!
Green: UNCOMMON SALVAGE FOUND!
Blue: RARE SALVAGE FOUND!
And so on for recipes.
Making it match the color conning system for enemies is a good thing, as it matches the color to the value for both salvage and enemies (gray is worth less, blue is worth more).
Not to mention the various powers that also use a similar coloring, Grey could blend in with anyone dark powers, green could blend in with anyone using heals, and blue blend in with anyone using RA in mid battle or energy blasting. White does blend in the most of the PB powers but yellow and red/orange doesn't reall blend in with any other powers accept for the councils mec-men. In all honesty I would much rather see "Common", "Uncommon", or "Rare" pop up on my screen or an option that allows you to turn it off all together.

Ever since this patch has been initiated, I can't get it to download- its frustrating!! The main thing is that it doesn't "remember" where you left off and have to re-initate every time!! Doubt my VG will see me anytime soon!! I'm in download Hell!
* Passive movement powers such as Swift and Hurdle can no longer be slotted with Travel IO sets. This was done to address balance concerns.
I do not like this I use the passive movement powers as my movement power this forces players to change the consept to get the IO beneft. This puts the balance in favor to those that have super speed and super jump. People like me who use the passive movement as there travel power are being punished. I would be better to say that can have one set or the other and only one like what you do with the sets that have stealth in the IO set.
swift and hurdle are supplemental, they are not travel powers.
if you are not using a travel power such as super speed, super jump , fly or teleport self then don't be too surprised that teams will leave you behind on a regular basis.
don't get upset because the developers aren't pandering to your unconventional style of play.

IIRC, Sprint takes both running and jumping IOs, so you can still get your sets.
