WOOHOOO!! I Love this one!!! And the leather is definitely the standout on this piece, although I'm a HUGE fan of the ginormous plant and the little blood-lapping babies!
AWESOME job!!!
I already commented on Dev but again
I really love this piece.
Wow. Just...wow. Thats amazing.
Jaaahebous!! Noice! I mean ebil....I mean....I dunno but it rocks!
Hee hee, you spelled it "kumpleet." 'Fess up, you've been itching to do that, haven't you?
Totally awesome pic, by the way, easily your best yet. It exudes malice and menace, and the color scheme is fabulous. The leather does look terrific. Love the little touches like the greenish reflection in GW's breastplate. Really amazing.
That's as good as any genre painting I've ever seen. It belongs in Spectrum 14!
Was it an accident that the thorny vines look like dead sharks? A little inter-Patron rivalry hinted at.

Wonderful work, Graver. Staggeringly good.
Graver this is a great picture. I especially like the reflection on Ghost Widow's chest plate.
The expression on Ivy's face is to die for.....literally

AWESOME work!
I wanted to add to the circle of praise and say this is an awesome piece! A couple of things that stick out to me:
*Maybe its because you work in watercolors, but the image has a displaced quality - to me that works great because it conveys a sense of discomfort you would associate with villains. It just adds a greater sense of evil.
*I was impressed with the fine reflection properties you did on Ghost Widow's armor, espeically the chest piece and armbands. Its pretty amazing to be able to notice the greens from the leather, plants, and even some of the reddish glow.
Anyhow, that's my thoughts. Great work!

You would like working on her legs, wouldn't you? :P
Anyways, I gotta say Graver, you never fail to impress. One of the things that really strikes me about your art is all the fine little details you put into each piece. The figures, coloring (unique to boot!), composition, it's all fantastic. You always take it that step further and add the little things like the little plants lapping up blood puddles.
Truely, a stunning piece.
I was quite happy with the piece and the work Graver put into it. As other's have mentioned, things like the look of the leather and the reflections were things I really liked. The other thing I really liked was the window behind Ghost Widow's head, overlooking Mercy Isle. That was something Graver thought up, and I really liked that idea.
But, most importantly to me, in addition to the outstanding work done, it also really captured the mood I was looking for with the piece.
I was extremely happy with the piece, and like it a lot.
I love this one for so many reasons, the expressions, the colors, the overall feel, the way the clothing came out . . . absolutely amazing.
Finally, I present for your viewing pleasure, The Countess Ivy with her most distinguished patron... two women of a terribly carnivorous breed.
Carnivores
I have to say, with this one I think I definitely hit my leather stride (I throughly enjoyed working on the Countess' legs. That and I'm terribly pleased with Ghost Widows hair (a happy mistake on how that came out). It took me a bit longer t get her face down right, but all and all, I am really proud of this one.
