Carnivores: Kumpleet
Great job! Looking at it, it's easy to tell that you enjoyed working on the different leathers since they turned out so well.
I commented briefly on this on deviant art the other night, but I like to save my real comments for here. I love the transition in the throne from plant to bone. I really like the way the teeth of that trapper plante echo the ribbing under Ghost Widow's resting arm. I also really like Ghost Widow's face/hair combo. She looks undead and creepy as opposed to pale aristocracy. I like the spooky effect it has. I also appreciate how the reds in all the layers really make Ivy pop forward and be the center of the piece despite everything else that's going on. And yes, the different plays of light on her leather, especially the green portions, imo, are grand. I think this is one of the best I've seen from you Graver. All the paintings you do are lessons in composition, but this one is really awesome. Well done, sir!
Yeah this is very awesome graver. I echo what everyone else has said.... but I love your works they are just... gorgeous!
Great job Graver! I really like what you did with the Countess' leather pants. All the folds and the hightlights, they look really realistic.
I also love the texture of the interior of the man-eating plant and the similar texture of the inside of the arm of the chair ... looks very soft-tissuey. Great job!
