I remember when Pets went bad.

There was a bug where if a controller zoned with an active pet it would go hostile and start attacking any nearby players.

I was witness to the carnage when a high level pet went on a murderous rampage at the Kings Row tram station.

I remember sending an SK invite to one of the Rikti Invasion NPCs. Since they were just players with the PvP flag set to 'on', and able to spawn other minions. I remember him turning it down. :3

I remember catching him in the Hospital, and laying heavy damage into him before he spawned minions like mad and ported away.

And yes, that is how they spoke.

I remember how, at the end of the beta event, the PvP flags got turned off, and all the Rikti gathered. I still have screenshots of the Rikti horde hanging around the KR tram.

I remember when being any defender other than FF meant you weren't wanted on a team. Even Empaths had a hard time finding work.

I remember the wagglefoot Storm Kick.

I remember when respec was planned to be for a full, complete respec, from AT selection on.

I remember when armors didn't stack.

I remember people TRYING to get Lusca to spawn.

I remember sleep.

Okay...my turn!

I remember turning on the Targeting Drone and going "Hey, what's that sound?"

I remember running around as a Rikti during the invasion. Except I wasn't running around (can we say chain held?) I think we had ka-zillion hit points. We also spoke fUnNyee lIKe ThIs. You heroes couldn’t stop laughing at us.

I remember when I was checking on the Hamidon to see if it spawned correctly. We had to keep an eye for spawning errors at the time. Sadly, I forgot to hide. It couldn't kill me, so my screen was COVERED with de-buff icons....probably about 30 full rows of them. It wouldn't let me go. I had to log.

I remember a blaster who didn't realize I was talking to him in tells about a problem he reported. I followed him (while visible) down the streets of Steel Canyon trying to get his attention. Finally he pivoted and said "Why is this police bot following me?” (Sorry...I didn't mean to spook ya)

You know, I actually do feel like an old man by now. I've seen and done so many things that the new players haven't even heard of, let alone done. Hydra in Perez Park is a good example, yes. A time before respec, costume alterations, capes, back when Elude was a toggle and Blaster nukes left you end drained AND disoriented

[/ QUOTE ]

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Burning Tanks on fire off the shoulder of Brickstown. I watched Smoke Grenades glitter in the dark near the Crey's Folly gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nice use of one of the great quotes from Blade Runner.

It is a take off of BladeRunner... either way you cut it.

I recall the mass pulls in Perez Park to the gates. Seeing multiple spawns of Hellions, CoT, Hydra, Vahz, and Skulls rushing the gates was awe inspiring. The Police bots could not keep up and the Heroes fought and lost dearly.

I guess I had it pretty good. One of my regular teammates used to GM D&D games so he would always make up a reason or an objective for us to be sweeping the streets.

Ex: sweeping the upper level freeway in skyway city he'd say "Okay boys, we have a diplomatic motorcade coming through this area in 10 minutes, we need to keep it as clear as we can!" then 10 minutes later he'd pick a car and have us follow it, clearing out any baddies we encountered as it went along.

Or he'd come up with a story about the CoT kidnapping people from a king's row building project and bringing them to Perez to use in rituals. We'd then hunt down the CoT spawns with the people in a green cloud.

I miss that guy heh.

Wow, that actually sounds really cool.

I remember....

Practically jumping out of my chair the first time a Vampire changed into a Werewolf in front of me.
Sneaking over to Talos and trying to fight mobs +8 to me.
Gaining 2 levels doing the Positron TF.
4 or 5 teams hunting Hydra in the Perez Park Lake.
Thinking the Kraken was a Urban Myth.
Seeing dozens of people in the Abandoned Sewer Network to farm Hatched Kraken in the (still) broken Sewer Trial.
Getting a whole team griefed by TP friend.
one-shotting things with snipe.
Spending 20 minutes climbing to the top of buildings in KR looking for CoT.
Getting killed by a Tsoo Sorcerer INSIDE the hospital after his friends had just killed me.
People literally waiting days for Lusca to spawn.
Construction projects lasting for months to create the Arenas and then Universities.
I remember beating the respec trial just before they brought down the servers to nerf it.
The invasion and the Council vs 5th Column
The 1st time fighting a Zeus Titan and he emptied his missiles on my team. It was so cool I had to say it in chat. Felt kinda silly when I noticed the rest of my team was dead.
When my Ill-Rad suddenly became FOTM even though I had been playing him from the start of CoH.
I remember the 3 day Hami raid on Freedom and was there for a good portion of it.
CoT portal missions...Nothing topped them for excitement and XP.
The first time me and SG saw Rikti. They were just standing around in Steel so we walked up to them even though they were purple. Of course we died.
The first time I saw DE chasing after someone in Steel.
Learning how to use the momentum from TP...then it was gone.
I remember a Scrapper herding masses of Wolves into a kill zone for our team to wipe out and always losing a member or 2 to Fulcrum Shift.
Hollows? We don't need no stinken Hollows.

The Atlas Park music still sends a shiver down my spine.

I remember when the trams dropped you off at each sequential stop. You had to make 3 stops just to get from AP to Galaxy.

I can also remember getting fed up and trying to hoof it via the gates. My level five got creamed in IP that way.

I remeber when spines was called quills. Looked the same, just had a different name.

I remember spotting the rikti attack force in Talos as it just stood there in the middle of the bay. They didn't do anything until a group of us heroes came along and wiped them out.
