Which of course leaves out every Player with characters only on the CoV side. Some of whom would have the killer costumes you were looking for as well. And they can't even join in the fun by making an Alt for CoH, because of their level. Sorry, but I think Pocket-D would have been the better place based on this reason.

Pocket D has capacity limit. An open zones capacity is much greater...and yes I do expect that many. This event is more than just the free art given at one contest and the other events rely on the open zone.

And I am not a fan of Pocket D

You probably should have posted this only in the Virtue area. Now all of us who dont play there are just bummed and disappointed.

XD Just make a character there, then fall in love with the server and stay.

Oh, and I totally agree with Rowr. This should be held in Sirens.

I may be wrong, but isn't there no longer a level limit for Croatoa? If so, i'm sure some higher level characters would be willing to escort low level heroes.

their hosting it right by the school/collage building which is right outdside the tram , my level 1 Can and has gotten there safely

For a chance at free art I'd make an alt and run over to virtue for a pose down , oh wait im already on Virtue .

I prefer to actually get around to places on my own.

And besides.. Everyone already knows what Hex looks like.

Well, I bit the bullet. I went ahead and brought my four main characters over to Virtue. I had tried before but was put off by the fact that one of my names is taken. Besides, it is the only way to get Scarf to draw one of them someday. So if you are hopping through the lowbie zones and see BuckeyeStar, Mordecai Stone, Warfox or Miss Britannia (had to find a new name for Brit) give me a holler.

when I was reserving names on the servers for my two characters...whiteperegrine was good to go, wasnt surprised. unfortunately, Citenik was taken on two of the servers...I was seriously bummed. he's literally my oldest super hero...his origin starts with Marvel Super Heroes (the yellow box...before advanced MSH)

I still go back from time to time to see if they have freed up...but no luck as of yet.....
...heck even my global is @citenik

...and just so we are clear it kinetic backwards, I pronounce it something along the line of ki-ten-ik. its not a variation on satanic....although I did get a chuckle out of that one. heh

anywho...if you know anyone with that name out there...see if they would be willing to give it up. I have a couple names on Champ I may be willing to trade for them. ~

Well, I like to have good participation and hate when after the fact people say "I wish I knew about it"

Just a little additional information on the event. Since I posted this in the art section I will give extra emphasis on that particular contest.

The event starts at 9:00 pm edt. Throughout the event members of my supergroup will be checking out costumes and bios in the crowd of people. There will be no lining up and time consuming checking out of each costume. So feel free to mingle, participate in the other events and listen to Radio Guru the whole evening.

At 11:00 pm edt (yes, 2 hours after the event began) I will annouce the finalists for the costume/bio contest. These finalists will be picked from the people my Knights have told me about. From those finalists I will name the winner of the free art commission. I will then need to get a e-mail address from you for correspondence between myself, the winner and Poison.

So what am I looking for? Not necessarily RP bio but more something original. A costume and bio that just jump out at me and scream creativity. Here is the Spring Bash's winner Vintage Hero . What caught my eye with this character was something I never seen. He was a hero right off the silver screen. His bio was a movie trailor description.

Everyone has a chance..from level 1-50. Auras and capes are pretty but if they do nothing for the costume/bio combo they don't always win.

While waiting on the winner to be annouced please feel free to participate in the Croatoa Race or some of the other costume contests. Meet new friends, RP a little (if that is your thing), whatever is your flavor.
