If you had to wake up AS one of your toons?
If I woke up as one of my Heroes it would be Mr. Awesome.
He is based off an exagerated me so I can totally wake up as him.
It'd be Yumii. Despite that we look nothing alike; she's pretty similar to me in alot of ways personality-wise (which was the intention <,< The funny part is - I bet I'd fit in alot better as a 4'11" catgirl than as a 6'1" man <@.@>m I'm just weird like that.

If I wasn't already Retail Retali8r every day...
That'd have to be my Forumites Unlimited toon, my Kheldian Viridia of Zekira.
For oh so many reasons... Because for one, she's an alien life form AND IMMORTAL. And, if she existed, so many others would too.
I'm of the opinion that the moment we discover alternate worlds and dimensions *actually exist with people in them like us but not exactly us* ... Everything we've ever dreamed *exists*.

Oh, it'd have to be Captain Photon. I mean, he's livin' the life. He's well-respected by the public, has a lot of friends in the city, and is lacking in Post-Modern Ironic Super-Angst. He's got it all. He's not one of the city's A-list heroes, perhaps - it's arguably impossible for a player character to be one of the city's A-list heroes - but he's a solid, recognized backup player with a moderate-sized but devoted fan club, the fan-favorite utility infielder of the superhero continuum.
It would have to be Innovator. Wait...I kinda do wake up as Innovator since I loosely based him off of me, though he's much thinner. However, like him I wish I could be in control of something like Vectorman...wait a second...
Has to be Cap'n Mystery(His orig. name). He has the magic suit, and he dances! But, he's short. Which is good in some ways, Wink Wink, Nudge Nudge, Get what Im saying?
*shiver* I honestly don't think I'd want to be one of my characters, just because I give them so many flaws it's crazy. I RP with them, so they have all kinds of problems and issues, it would be crazy!
Billyboy was purely based off me from his beginning, but as I played him more and began writing for him, he became what I always thought was a cool person when I was in middle school, before I realized how stupid it was. Now Billyboy is the kind of person I really wouldn't want to be, because he puts way too much importance in stupid things, like reputation and how people look. Not the kind of person I'd like to be.
My villain, Dr. Phillis, is based on my super radical views that became so warped during his development that I don't believe in them whatsoever anymore. It would be really cool to be as smart as him and control a robot army, but he really isn't the kind of person I'd have fun as, because I would be like him, and he isn't a fun person!
If I chose one, it would be Podo the Goblin, my broadsword/SR scrapper. He's altruistic and honorable and a true hero. He puts others before himself and would be the perfect hero if he weren't a three foot tall green man with pointy ears, an irregularly flat nose, and a cybernetic arm and eye. Which is really where the conflict comes in, because people don't trust or respect him, even though he just wants what's best. It would be awesome to be a swordsgoblin that can jump to the top of buildings and best a titan without the aid of super powers, but really, even being him would be difficult because I put so many challenges in front of my characters, like the fact that I would be a bloody freak by human standards!
I think of any of my character's I would want to wake up as Pixye Stix. She is a 9-year old sonic/energy Blaster. A orphan and is considered (my conceptual story - not by the game itself) as the "lil darling" of Paragon.
Pixye is nothing like me which is why I would would love to be her for just a little bit. She's energetic, bouncing, bratty, loud, squeaky, over confident, bold and full of attitude. But in a lovable child-like way - she can be sweet and friendly which is why she's tolerated and adored by those around her in the end.
Pixye can be compared to Tom Sayer, The Artful Dodger, Gavoche from Les Miserables. Just a female version - on a sugar high.
RPing her is just darn fun and usually I can't resist - (see MMOART Free Sketch Thread - she was getting a little over excited. )
Of course, I would have to choose MarDun.
I love the "warrior" background. (Read his Crey porfile in my sig). I have done, or am into many martial arts styles, and this would fit me nicely. Not to mention, he never ages, sleeps.
The powers, muscles, and nice hair , really interests me.

OK...
strangely enough...
the one I identify most closely with is Betty Highside, even though she's a criminal (and I am not!... well.. aside from speeding tickets... )
She's an adrenaline junkie and sport-biker, someone who lives 'in the moment.' All my other characters have either lofty goals or nafarious plots, twisted origins, terrible events in their past, etc etc...
betty's just this girl with a bike, a gun, and some wierd 'kinetic inducer' device she is still trying to figure out how it all works... and to her Life's all about scraping together enough c-notes for the next big thrill run.
Something most sportbike riders can 'get into'... we scrimp and save, and put in wrench time, all so we can burn our vacation days at the track or on a twisty road someplace.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
Why it's Crimson, of course.
Been workin on the bio for awhile, but his personality type is the same as me. I know what's wrong and I know what's right and I tend to act on my gut reaction to things. I improvise alot, make do with what-ever I have access to, socially, technologically and financially.

Hmm.. if I could be any one of my characters... Well, I suppose it would help if I actually had a character hero-side that'd actually last past 10. But the general background is always sort of the same (barring a few creative oddities, like Alta living in her parent's basement)...
Strong young lady, comfortably well-off (but not exactly at the plateau of 'rich'), and either living with someone very special, or by themselves and still looking.
Radiant Girl is the person I'm thinking of working on next (spunky young college student with the power to.. well.. radiate deadly energy.), though Graviton Lass (Or was it Gravimetric? I forget...) is another likely possibility. They're mostly the same, though, barring the fact that poor RG is no fun to cuddle with. As she's radioactive..
End ramble! >>
I wouldn't mind being Kadmon. He's essentially immortal, virtually unstoppable, can fly, and can launch things up to 100-150 feet Of course, if I were Kadmon, there would be the alternate me, and that would be very, very bad
I'd never use a nuke in a superhero universe. You nuke a city, you kill 1.5 million people minus one. The last guy not only gets superpowers from the explosion, but ones that let him survive a nuke...and wow, is he torqued off

I'd probably choose Lord Apollon. His personality is the closest to mine, kind of a refined form of me.
I dont think I would want to wake up as Undead Ted... the whole decayed flesh thing wouldnt be so hot. Hoshi on the other hand would be cool. I could be happy being a thing of pure energy. Then I would have an excuse to sing that song all day long.
I think because of all of the pain I put my toon though, I would love to wake up as Lazzarus. Not because he has the best story or powers but so I could help him get his life back together. Yeah it would suck to have to kill in order to become stronger and having to die in order to release evil energy. Not to mention turning into his evil alter-ego. Having no control over myself. Having to watch myself kill everyone until I am finally kill would hurt so much and probably drive me insane. But I would take it all b/c that's the life I gave him.
Is a wake up AS like a wake-up kiss, only more damaging?
All of 'em (except it's harder to contemplate waking up as any of my female characters; I'm not sure I'd know how to handle it). For the ones in my sig:
<ul type="square">[*]Omicron Ithmar, because he is the way I define the tough, stoic, mighty hero type.[*]Witherblight, because he is the way I define the creepy, no-holds-barred, perverting-nature-for-his-own-ends villain type.[*]Spotted Lynx, because he is the way I define the (alternately) cool and laid-back, agile and fierce hero type.[*]Experiment 164, because he is the way I define the "anger management issues" villain type.[*]Force Beacon, because he is the way I define the generous airborne savior hero type.[*]Dr. Erik Faust, because he is the way I define the troubled anti-hero type.[*]Dr. Ichabod Faust, because he is the way I define the "out to make the world notice me" villain type.[/list]In general, I don't have a character I *wouldn't* want to wake up as (even poor Ant General has redeeming qualities); that's part of why I made 'em in the first place.
I really wouldn't want to, because they all seem so lonely and some a little psycho, but if I had to? Probably my newest character, Flagstaff. Her costume allows her a great degree of privacy and it insulates her with a burly force field. I'd need one of those, because the first time I got hit by some vicious baddie, I'd probably freak out.
Probably Zapping, but I could be any one of my characters. While I don't RP, I do tend to play out the stories in my head with them having certain traits. Its one reason all of my villains tend to be the misunderstood villain or heroes infultrating Arachnos.
Zapping or Rain King would be my two to choose from though. It might suck to have King's blue hair, but being able to freeze everyone and control the weather would make up for it
Zapping, 50 storm/elec
Rain King, 50 ice/storm
Ard, 50 NB/SR

As i dont really roleplay with any of my toons, and some dont even have origin stories written up yet, i think most of them would be nice to wake up as. My main DonnchadH, is large in charge and carries a Huge axe. Plus the ice armor can protect from pretty much anything. He also has a beautiful wife in flaming mistress, who is played by my real life fiance, so it might not be do much of a strech.
On the other hand my main villain, is bent on world domination and destroying DonnchadH, He has an army of minions and has crushed many other races and dimensions. Having all that power might be nice to have for a little while. And i would get away with it too, if it werent for those meddling heroes.
Hot on the heels of the "do you look like your character" thread, which is still going strong (I for one am waiting to see who CuppaRowr is doing a digital painting of) is the "who would you be" thread.
If you had to wake up one morning as one of your characters, who would it be, and why? Besides being a superhero, is the character's life in any way similar to yours or very different? Are all your characters too superhero-tragic? Are they all misshapen freaks? Is one totally cool and really lucky and you'd love to be him/her? Are you a 40-year-old 250lb 5'4" Linux programmer; your character is a 6'2" totally hot chick with claws and a tail and you DO want to be her?
For me, it wouldnt be too bad to be Vis Viva. The 14 years in a coma would suck (see link below for character bios), but my wife created Caterina and my daughter created Little Viva, so I assume they would be there in that reality too. Check the link out below, I mean seriously check out the link below, who could object to being married to Caterina. My daughter would have to skip head a few years in age, but most kids her age would love to be teen-agers. That and the superpowers would probably make it an easy sell for her. Vis has had about as much luck in his scientific career as I have (no large scale explosions though) so that would be an even trade. I probably make a little more money then him, but he has a rich sister to sponge off (mine works for the phone company). I could deal with the shame of sponging off a rich sibling if I spent a lot of my time saving the city. Chicago is cool architecture, but Paragon has way cooler statuary (the way elevators work in the office buildings HAS to go though). Yea, it would be okay to be Vis Viva. Being Aviv Siv though, that would suck.
