Witha big chunk of the forum dwelling player base backing it, I wonder how long it will be before the devs release the Clickey-Clack badge.

Let's here it for the Clickey-Clack badge

Make it the reward for defeating the (already built and walking around) Clockwork Paladin in KR, and I'm so there.
Another vote for "awesome thread." -

I think it was P.T. Barnum who said "no one ever lost a buck by under estimating the intelligence of the American public."

H.L. Mencken, apparently.

Often credited to P.T. Barnum, but its provenance is in some doubt. For example, see here:

As to the rest, if you've got an opinion, why not just state it? There's no reason to take potshots at every passing poster in the offing. "I'm not the least bit excited about Dual Blades, because I'm not a big fan of wielded-weapon powersets" pretty much covers everything of substance you've said in this thread. If you've got anything else of substance to add, please do. -
I dunno, seems to me that's the perfect time to steal a purse: the capes and cops are all busy with alien invaders, the mark is (presumably) a bit distracted by all the hullabaloo... and I heard somewhere that some Skull actually *got* a purse once! For real! So really, it's now or never. Plus you never know if there's some of that waterless hand cleanser in there. You're definitely gonna need some more of that stuff.
Anyway, I'll kind of miss the Rikti invasions, and look forward to hopefully completing my main's accolade (those darn UXBs!) on the promised days to come. Issue 10 rocks hard. -
I'd have to say that a script with no illustrations should be registered as a "Literary Work." (I'm also of the opinion that comic books are registered as "Literary Works," though I have no way of being certain of this.)
I'd also have to say that once illustrations are added, the copyright registration would still be a factor, as an illustrated *version* of the finished script pretty much squarely falls into the definition of a *derivative work* based on the script. Since only the copyright holder has the right to create a derivative work based on the copyrighted material... there you go.
Not to mention that a copyright exists and is in force the moment you are done putting pen/pencil to paper, bits and bytes to hard drive, or however you "fix" your work in "tangible" form.
Good luck! -
Well, speaking for myself...
The silent laughing hurts. I had to keep pausing the darn thing so I could laugh some more. "I knew you didn't want to be my friend." I did *try* to stay quiet... but it's a good thing I don't have any cubicle-neighbors.
Joining the chorus of kudos. Have heard all 15 and can't wait for the next. Brilliant concept, brilliantly executed. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all your hard work and for sharing it with us. Make as many as you like, I'll keep coming back.
Oh, yes: are you offering these as downloads anywhere? If so, I'd like to burn them to a CD if I may... thanks in advance. -

Note: All the LCD monitors I've worked with are ridiculously difficult to get "right." I'm happy with my CRTs... except they can't compete with the widescreen LCD at work for sheer acreage... -
All of 'em (except it's harder to contemplate waking up as any of my female characters; I'm not sure I'd know how to handle it). For the ones in my sig:
<ul type="square">[*]Omicron Ithmar, because he is the way I define the tough, stoic, mighty hero type.[*]Witherblight, because he is the way I define the creepy, no-holds-barred, perverting-nature-for-his-own-ends villain type.[*]Spotted Lynx, because he is the way I define the (alternately) cool and laid-back, agile and fierce hero type.[*]Experiment 164, because he is the way I define the "anger management issues" villain type.[*]Force Beacon, because he is the way I define the generous airborne savior hero type.[*]Dr. Erik Faust, because he is the way I define the troubled anti-hero type.[*]Dr. Ichabod Faust, because he is the way I define the "out to make the world notice me" villain type.[/list]In general, I don't have a character I *wouldn't* want to wake up as (even poor Ant General has redeeming qualities); that's part of why I made 'em in the first place. -
*raises a cup in salute*
I'm sure in your new position you will again set the gold standard for community person. Thanks for your diligence, devotion, and dialogue. -
Thank you, this helps me (as a red/green colorblind player) a lot.
Any chance you could do the same for skin colors? TIA...
