Jay's Costume Bug Fix Thread

The options were still totally messed up. Plain boots and tights, rather than insect armor.

Is it consistent which costume pieces cause this issue?
Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but the belt named V has clipping issues on female bodies. It clips into the hips on both sides.

I'll have to check more. Compare it to other character and see what I can come up with. Only thing I can say for sure right now. With the brand new character I posted about also having a bald spot issue. In SG mode her Jacket shows up with Sleeves rather than Sleeveless. When I hit the tailor it also showed up that way and was trying to charge me for the change. Soon as I reset that option back to Sleeveless it remove the charge. Did this twice as well as once on the Test Server.

Okay: I logged on my main since she's the only one with 4 slots. I switched back and forth between checking SG settings and Tailor mode. I went so far as to adjust the sliders (which needed tweaking anyways...) so I know that all of them have the most current 'costume bit names'. Here is what I found:
Slot 1 - Civies was fine in both SG and Tailor window.
Slot 2 - SG settings had the wrong boots. Details were missing on: Gloves, Chest, Tights, and Boots.
When going back to the Tailor, twice it tried to reset the boots.
Slot 3 - SG settings had the wrong boots. Details were missing on just the boots.
When going back to the tailor it tried to reset these boots as well.
Slot 4 - Was fine in both modes.

I apologize if this has been mentioned already. The Glam hairstyle for females has a slight problem. First, looking at the front, there is a piece of hair that comes over the front of the right shoulder and no matching piece of hair on the left side. Makes the style look uneven. Also, that same piece of hair pierces through the arm when in fighting stance (see picture).

I am having an issue with my costumes and SG mode and have had several people tell me they have the same problem. I stay in SG mode all the time and like to switch between costumes a lot. Problem is that the game isn't saving my costume settings. With many trips to the tailor I have changed my costumes so that they are the same in SG mode or Out, I have no deleted costume pieces and put my SG symbol as the chest detail but this issue persists.
The game seems to randomly choose some costume parts to change color and no matter how many times I change it back to the correct setting, the next time I switch to the costume some parts will be wrong.
Petitioning this issue has been useless as first they have me send them a DxDiag report (how can DirectX effect the setting the game uses to store costume color settings) and then they said it was because I was using obsolete costume pieces(which is not the case).
Here is an example.
1st time selecting that costume.
After changing SG color settings to what they should be.
After switching to another costume and back.

I'm having a problem with my glowing eyes face when it's looks fine till i go 2 icon and try 2 change it it turns into face 1 so im afriad if i put exept it would stay like that. i know that there is supernatural faces 13 but it doesn't really look the same more "boxy". i wanted 2 get a trench coat when the reward system in live but i dont wanna switch my face . i already turned 1 of my characters 2 supernatural 13 and cant get glowing eyes bak. wat should i do? thx
Yeah my buzzcut is gone on my guy also...i thought that haircut was dope!... they need to bring it back
I didn't take the time to see if this had been mentioned already but when you are wearing slacks and someone gives you invis you can see the boots going way up your leg. it seems the pants are MORE invis than the boots. its small but it bothers me a lot because my lvl 40 costume is always a tux.
I ought to get a screen cap of this, but if you put a belt on a female char, and then increase her hip size, the belt doesn't grow, and with the slider all the way to the right, you can get some "inverse pokethrough" artifacts as the body expands and starts covering the belt.
Scrappers are just like chainsaws. Somewhat hard to handle, EXTREMELY dangerous, and by far the most fun when wielded by the slightly insane.

What belt and what top?
Earlier when I was checking belts this is exactally what I did on most belts in the editor, so if you've found one with the recent changes that is not scaling correctly please post which it is

I know for a fact this happens with both theV belt and Peak belt while wearing default tights.
Also, Glowing Eyes aura has a clipping effect with hair that makes it turn into an inverse yarmulke. Ideally, I'd like to see the radius of the glow scaled back so it doesn't cover the back of the head at all, but whatever it takes to fix it...
And then there's this.I dunno what it is, but it's freaky.

These are exactly the responses I have gotten with a very similar complaint. I am extremely frustrated with the cookie-cutter responses offered by the support people. Although they did actually award me free tokens for the character with which I had the most problems (and had paid several times to fix), I finally gave up when it became clear that they are just not "getting it".

Patterns on skirts are broken. Some (but not all) are coming out as "blank" (solid primary color only). Here are the ones that don't work for me:
Blend, Camo, Celtic, Checker, Circles, Circuitry, Dots, Fade Line, Flames, Fire Stripe, Holes, Isles, Lightning, Lines, Magic, Mesh, Pattern 1, Psych, Scales, Sharp, Starburst, Stars 1, Stars 2, Stripe 1, Stripe 2, Stripe 3, Tribal
Note that while Blend is broken, Miniskirt 1 -- which is just Blend with a different name -- still works.
Note also that this does affect existing costumes (one of my characters has a Pattern 1 skirt that is now blank).
Ok I have not checked through all of the posts so if I'm repeating someone, I apologize.
On my Hero, I've used Buckled Leather Chest, if I also use the Buckled Leather markings, then add a chest item such as a shield or Star, you can see through the chest item. If i don't use the Buckled Leather markings the chest items are fine.
Also, I'd like to see some different kind of helms. Picture the kind that would have a Snake head. The top of the helm be the Eyes and top jaw of the snake, then you can see the persons face just underneath. If you all remember Serpentor from G.I.Joe, something like that would be cool to see. Or some fur shoulderpads. Or furry boots and gloves.
Just suggestions.
Hi Jay, no screencap for you, but in case it hasn't been mentioned, the shorts for females, usually have the hips clipping through through them on the default hip slider.

I have had this same problem. This has nothing to do with your graphics card or any other hardware issues. This is a bug that they need to address.

I checked, yes, my skirts with patterns no longer work as of this morning's patch (this appears to be a reversion bug, we had this bug before, I hope it stays fixed next time!)
Miniskirt 1 is not actually Blend renamed; Miniskirt 1 blends horizontally, and Blend blends diagonally (when they work again, look carefully).
Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but the Tech 1 shoulder pieces for robot arms seem to be missing. Dunno why, as they looked pretty good together: like so

Is it a reversion? The patterns not in my "broken" list still work just fine, so we haven't gone all the way back to "no patterns on skirts at all". And I didn't remember a phase where some worked and some (most) didn't.
It almost looks like some kind of indexing problem... for about the first half of the list, every third pattern works.

Ah, good to know. I hadn't looked closely enough.
Is a fix for the hoods and changing the shape of your head in the pipe?
My "Youthful" head pokes through the hood on the top giving me two extra 'ears'. Quite annoying.
My character's chest detail, the chains with the off-center ring connecting them, appeared to be discolored today. I went to the tailor to try to fix it, assuming that I had reversed the purple and white, causing it to appear gray. Once I got to the tailor I saw that I had put the colors in correctly and the chains appeared to be purple in the costume edit screen. Once I finished my transaction and got back to Paragon City, however, the chains still appeared gray. I have filed a bug report, but thought I'd mention it here as well.

V belt, smooth top. My bad however, it's not the hips that do it, but the waist. Leave the hips default, widen the waist (I don't want her to look like an hourglass), and it'll stretch out over the sides of the belt.
I'll post a screenie if this gets to be a major issue.

If previously posted, ok. Sorry.
Shoes clipping through pants (not tights) when running. And such like that there, but that's REAL annoying to watch...

Not sure if it is a bug or wishlist but there are tons of costume parts that do not have partners in other categories, such as the patchwork pants not having a matching top, or gloves / boots. I'll try to compile a list soon.
