c.) the devs dont give times
d.) when the devs give times (based on the avaliable info at the moement) and are incorrect.

Its coming, when? who knows, probably when its working right. Quit quoting Pos. I'm certain when he made that quote it was based on the current info they had at the time and thier estimated projections.

Less than a week after I7 goes to live - but not right as it goes to live. I will let you know for sure when I7 actually releases.

I understand that and agree that a bugged i7 is not good, but ya'll need got get your stuff together we had i7 coming soon on the log on screen for 2 months, Posi said that it would be out by the end od the month ( if i remember right), ppl are already leaving the came for lack of content (add another 1 to that list) I'm in the navy and i had to take leave so i took in now in the hopes of getting a few weeks of live i7 my leave ends june 13th and now it looks like i won't get any..... I don't understand programing nor so i pretend to but this is getting out of hand. I know I'll get alot of flack from ppl on this post becaue alot of the ppl on the forums are willing to wait as long as they have to but i'm a guy on a time line i have to go back to Sea IE a big grey boat with no computers to play any games in a few months but this is my opnion and thats that.

Whether you're in the Navy or planning your vacation around I7, it shouldn't factor into the release date. I mean, come on. If you were building a house and it wasn't finished yet, would you live there w/ out a roof or if the wiring wasn't finished? You can either walk away from the deal or wait until it's finished, but either way, you'll get it when its done... not when you want.

Will you be on a boad in 4 months unable to play the game or lvl for 6-8 months at a time? didn't think so, and to campare i7 to a house .... well if i had know where else to move than yes I would move in b4 it has all the bells and whistles, btw i live on a 2x4 islanad with nothing to do and 300 miles away from the nearest walmart or mall, so I'm in a weird spot that i'm porb looking foward to this more than the average Joe.
It's a lose-lose situation for the devs when they fall behin schedule. If the release the expansion on the date given, fixed or not, people hate them for the unstabble, buggy product they've released. If they hold it back to fix the bugs, they get blasted for delaying the product. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
They should never have fallen behind in the first place, but I think they're doing the right thing by making sure the product is at least in good, playable shape when it finally comes out. If they're going to get grief for something, better it be for lateness than for shoddy craftsmanship.
Of course, since I7 IS getting pushed back yet again, I sure as heck hope costume editor fixes are on the agenda. New hoods, yay, but c'mon. The flack jackets are STILL making your torso turn invisible. -_o That costume editor is what SELLS your game, you need to fix it up.

Honestly, I'd rather them take longer and get us something that's relatively bug free than rush it and make us suffer through the debugging on live as has happened a few times in the past. So, devs, please take your time and get it right. I'm patient and I can wait.

Hey, thanks for the update on the release date! A few thoughts:
- I was under the impression that, in scope, I7 is bigger than most of the other Issues we've gotten so far, largely due to the number of completely new powersets, additional animation time, etc. Recluse's Victory is something the dev team haven't tried before. I'd expect it to take longer. Admittedly, I'm a layperson, and admittedly, there have been big content releases before.
- I'm really hoping that, in future, content additions (in the sense of issues) could be divorced from balance changes. The changes to how Defense is calculated really shouldn't have had to wait this long, even though the Issue takes... well, as long as it takes. I realize that the current development philosophy is that they be dovetailed, but I'm hoping that can be re-evaluated.

Thank-you for the update. It's certainly easier, and the best you can do given the circumstance, to say when you know when it won't be Live rather than guess when it will be live.
In the past, the bugginess of an Issue never stopped them from going live with it. And that just doesn't work. Veteran testers can deal and understand the nature of a beta version, the teeming masses of noobs can't. Better to fix it up than release it buggy.
The last patch to Test had a huge amount of fixes, and even with limited play in RV, we see some of those fixes didn't 'take.' That last patch needs testing. There's at least another patch in the works... for the 40-45 content. The 45+ testing really even hasn't begun.
Thank-you for trying to get it right with the Testers who can help make it better rather than throw it out undone and have to deal with huge queues of people waiting for GMs to get things fixed.
Please pass on to the PR department: send a memo to all the fansites in which you gave interviews and press releases and update that I7 will be delayed until June. You don't want them to look bad by advertising incorrect info.

No, I won't be on a boat for 4 months, but you choose to be there. No one forced you into the military to defend our country(which I do thank you for). Nor do any of the devs say "Put life on hold. I7 will be here soon!". It's your choice. So to propose that b/c your personal matters are conflicting with the devs schedules is null. So is all of the moaning and groaning that others do. They have the right, they pay their $15, blah, blah, blah... it still doesn't help. Go on test and help with the bugs then. You can check out I7 there. You can get your fix before it goes live, and frankly, you'll be playing a smoother less buggy I7 when you get off the boat. Flaming the devs with the typical "Wahh! I want what I want now!!" is pointless. Like puking into the wind. It's gross, pointless and annoying. Just relax. It's close. It's being perfected.
as far as the house: You do know where to move and can leave the contract behind if you're disappointed. The other house is WoW.

Makes me happy to hear that CUppa. What I've seen on test is still bug riddled and in no way ready to go live.

Considering the "Damned if you do, Damned if you don't" situation the devs are in, which seems accurate to me by the way, I wonder what the reaction would be if the devs were as petty as some, note I say SOME...not all, seem to be?

Wow, I'm so glad you told them to hurry it up. I heard that the Devs were sitting around eating Cheetos, trying to see who could burp the alphabet the best, telling The Aristocrats joke over and over again, and poking Stateman and Positron in the eye whenever they asked for a status report. The guy who designed the original PDP did it completely in his free time. So, to the dedication it takes to do something without getting paid, thanks guys.

Seriously, we've been round and round in conversations regarding "the waiting game" and I go back to my original point - this is nothing new we haven't seen before. Play this game, play another game if you have to, and be ready to come back when it goes live. Or help speed up the process by jumping on Test and debugging the damn thing so the fixes come about faster.
The debugging process can only move as quickly as the number of hands on deck to help make sure everything's working as it should.

7+ months between content updates is a bit frustrating. As it stands right now, I log on twice a week for Hamidon raids & that's it. I do not regret jumping ship & playing WoW for the last month or so.
