Official Thread for Brutes: Electric Melee
Of all complaints I had for this game is that nothing new is created, just old maps, powers, ATs "re-imaged."
Chain Induction may use Energy Transfer's animation but it's something new. Let them work out the bugs. I don't like being a developer's beta tester, but at least the game isn't any less fun in the meantime.
Thunder Strike and LIghting Rod are your PBAoEs and you get a cone attack (a small cone for sure) in Jacob's Ladder. Giving another PBAoE with Chain Induction would be a bit much.
Thank you, City of Heroes, for giving me a superhero social network combined with amazingly smooth game play. Petitions signed with realistic expectations.
I would be cool with it if they COULD work out the bugs, but I believe the current status is that the "bug" is no such thing, it is irreprable an "working as planned"
I love how working as intended turns into a known issue when enough players complain lol.

Just as an addendum to my previous post...Lightning Clap...please change it from knockback to knockdown...I think the reasons why have been flushed out pretty well by others.
I'm with you, Clock. But Clap has always been a panic crowd control power. The developers will never remove + knockback from it. It's a minor EMP with much better recharge, it can't all be perfect.

Got my Elec/Elec Brute up to 44. Love the set as a whole. Find Chain Induction disappointing. I hadn't checked the forum for the feedback and just went with the description. Little damage and not very reliable for hitting multiple targets.
Jacob's Ladder is non-trivial to hit multiple targets for me, but it's a neat effect.
Love the Lightning Rod effect. Damage isn't too bad, seems great when Fury is up.
I'd say beef up some of the damages, lower the recharge, and/or lower the end cost as options. Fix Chain though.

I say chain induction becomes a PbAoE with five potential waves of damage, like a much tamer blaster nuke. Kind of a faster AoE power so that we can have almost 100% AoE chains for large groups
