Protector Badge/Monster Global Channels

What channel is used in organizing Hamidon raids?

Not exclusively for Hamidon but "Jello Shooters" is the place to be (or some other hip, trendy phrase). It's a public channel so no invitation is needed. Also, the raids are usually announced here on the forums.

Hey Folks, Protector server now has a fresh new Global Channel called 'Protector Badge' (without hyphens). This channel is designated to allow people to:
1. Form Teams when teaming is hard during early hours.
2. Badge hunting team forming, Wether it be Badge missions, Monster Events, Taskforce/Strikeforce recruiting etc, thats what were here for.
3. Hamidon Events!! If theres anyone willing to form a hamidon Event and to be prepared to head up the event then this is the place to go.

To Join the Chat channel in coh/cov just type:
/chan_join Protector Badge

Were a pretty easy going global channel. All that we ask is please no profanity as young people also play CoH/CoV, and please try to keep the channel as friendly as possible.

The Global Channel is there for Heroes and Villains so either side can globally join the channel. Just remember to state which side you are forming a team on.

Recently returned player, and global channels are sort of new to me. You mean here, I assume, that the channel covers both CoH and CoV, or does it cover all servers in the game?

The command goes:
/bind <key you wish to bind here> beginchat /send "Paragon Interlink" [<server name here>]

So say I want to use the L key as my hotkey for this and the server I'm playing on is Protector. It would look like this:
/bind l beginchat /send "Paragon Interlink" [Protector]

Then, if I ever wanted to say something in that channel I would just hit the L key and it would automatically activate the chat window, and set the commands to direct the post to the global room in question.

What you would see in the room would be (using me as a sample):
[Paragon Interlink] Aerones: [Protector] And then whatever message I typed in.

Now, as a matter of taste, I use the [brackets] in my global room binds, but I have seen other people use everything from *asterisks* to ©Copyright© symbols. It is just a way of seperating any information you want to convey with the keybind from your Global Name.

Can anyone estimate which ones of the now 7 badge channels mentioned in this thread have the most people listening? I have one more channel I can join, I have a couple of characters coming up on badge missions I'd like to announce so people can join me, and I'm usually playing early mornings so its hard to get an idea of "chatter level" on the channels.

I have to sympathize with the earlier poster asking if they could be consolidated, my main play is on Triumph, which has one badge channel, and I still only get a reply on it about half the time I ask about or mention something. Splitting it still more ways seems to defeat the purpose of the channel.

For just a badge channel I would say in my opinion that Protector Watch has the most traffic.

For any of the channels the most traffic would be on Jello Shooters. And JS is a good place to annouce badge missions too if you want. Just depends if you like to have some friendly and at times insane chatter while you play.

Isn't there a channel on Test that's Protector based, and if so, what's it called?

Ok, I went and done it....I made a channel that consist of all badges from Monster Sightings all the way to Invention badge help can be talked and discussed here. The channel is for all of CoH and CoV players for the Protector Server only.

Its pretty much a BS channel as well like "Jello Shooters" so don't be afraid to come join up to keep up with badge information.....if anyone is willing to share

Hiya all, some of you know me, some dont'. Due to problems with a certain [censored], Badge Squad, (primarily villain badge channel), is getting changed over: Badge Covenant is the name of the new channel, still primary vill. but heroes are MORE than welcome also. Fun chat, monster/badgefarm/SFand TF teams.. A place to come for help on badges or to help others with your expertise. I hope to see you guys there!

I went through all the pages, and recompiled the list of posted global channels, along with a little snippet of info with each one, if available.

Here's the new list of global channels for Protector:

Jello Shooters (More of a basic chat channel)
TF and Badge (Looking for task force and badge assistance? Check here!)
Protector Watch (mainly used for rare spawning monsters, occasional task force)
Villain Badges (looking for badges or giant monsters on villains? Go here.)
Badge Squad (mainly Villain badges)
Protector Vigilance! For announcing Giant Monsters, badge hunting and task forces!
Paragon Watch should also be listed. The channel is for Badges/TFs/SFs & Giant Monsters.

I've sent requests out on all the appropriate channels but no one is on them or bothering to respond so I'm posting this here.

Right now in DA, Adamastor is out and I could use the help since I'd like to get the badge for him. I'm near the Moth Cemetery marker. Send me a tell in-game to Zal-El.

I thought there was a Monster called "The Beast" in the sewers.

Longshot Productions which is my channel for my events group. Of course all are invited to join. But it is intended for my group's use.

Yea, there was some issues due to a particular person. Won't name his name but we all know who he is. So we all left and the new channel is now Badgers Covenant. Same ppl, different name. I thought it was already posted here but I guess not. O and its not private. It public just like old badgers was.

it would be a cool channel if people accepted and offered badge stuff..

but there literally are like 5-7 people there that actually talk and offer or ask for stuff.

the channel does have over 100 subscribers though.

I'm backing up the original post of this thread just in case it's lost in the switch to the new forum platform. The same with all my community threads.

Protector Vigilance is re-launching.

Protector Vigilance's purpose: Server events, team-ups, badges, monsters, etc - and feel free to chat away. It is, as always, a public channel, and open to both hero and villain sides.

Keep it clean, keep it decent, and respect your fellow players by avoiding inflammatory topics. Consider this channel PG13 and moderated. There are 3 mods at this time: Blazing Blue, Arion Elan, and myself.

This channel has been around for a while now, but lacking a certain "something" to make it stand out amongst the multitude of global channels out there. We think that there is a desire for a family-friendly channel that can still offers players what they want to complement their gaming time.


Copy and paste this in your chat/command line to join: /chan_join "Protector Vigilance"

If you'd like, use one of these to quickly send messages to Protector Vigilance. Replace the "X" key to the key of your choice:
