First, nothing in the game has the potential to be as overpowered as a stalker. If you arent the right AT, you dont see them, then dead. Compare to a storm defender, you see them, cant kill them as a melee. however, they cant kill you either. Well, ok. A draw.

So, easy win versus a draw. Not seeing a need to nerf hurricane here.

I have a better idea. Nuke all inspirations in PVP. No break frees (any dom can drop hurricane), no acc, no healing unless in powers, etc. Make people stand on their AT and powers, not who brought the right inspirations.

Last, defenders should make it a pain to kill their team mates (and themselves). Dark defenders are flat out broken in PVP. Storms (and CM from emps) are the only things that make a defender worth inviting into the zone.

Dont nerf storm, bring other defender powers up to their level. Nerf controller defender powers, to the same level as dark control powers (lengthen recharge, reduce effect, lower accuracy/debuff amount, etc). Nuke stalker placate so they have to fight after the AS attempt. There are lots of PVP changes that should happen, this one isnt one of them.

If you had Teleport, you could port in with an attack qued and have the same thing happen. It's how my Warshade Sunless Mires off Storm Shaman.

There, you can run up and punch a stormer. Happy?

You're just exagerating Kid. All you need is some speed from a Travel Power and a couple passes with Build Up. Bare minimum, and it will work.

And as an MA Scrapper, you DO have CC, you have Cobra Strike and Eagles' Claw 60% of the time. It's easy enough to punch through with that.

For the record:

- Whirlwind needs no nerfs.

- KB Protection is a bit too good in PVP, but that accounts for acrobatics as well as melee status protection. I'm not really in favor of reducing it if I get pinballed around by Council or Nemesis as a consequence. I mean, a filthy Council vampyr knocked me down with shadow punch the other day (misreported in PM to Blueeyed as a spectral daemon, but so many things knock me down any random guess will probably be right).

- Anyone who skips Cobra Strike in MA deserves everything that happens to them in PVP.

use your ranged hold for teh win!

unless a storm defender has mez protection (from someone else), he'll go down like a sack of turds.

if you're fighting a */storm controller, however...well that's another story.

Actually it was more like "Can't hit without a tray full of inspirations (Perma-MoG), can't do enough damage to overcome regeneration (IH), and can't stack holds fast enough to punch through Integration."

ick, I hate triple-D scrappers. I've done my time playing one, and body mastery 4tw. I'll live with finding another way to deal with the Hurricane on my Dark/Dark. Besides, Pet Gaze doesn't exist in three of four PVP zones and you won't even fight it in two prior to defection.

i dont think storm controllers had a problem with regen b3fore. Before they made IH a click, LS was already toggling it off. also with MOG on tornado has auto-hit damage of around 20 each tick.

Not what I was hearing on test when PvP was first born with the Arena. Lots of complaints about MoG how people it was able to run through everything more or less. And so people whined and it was nerfed. Such is the nature of PvP problems.

I'm Hami-Oed out, have Stamina, QR, Int, and IH in use in Siren's Call. What are insperations I stack up on? Purples, Greens, and a few blues. All the the things I'm supposed to need the least since I'm a Regen scrapper supposedly. That's how uber I'm not even with those supposedly "unfair" powers.

I'm Hami-Oed out, have Stamina, QR, Int, and IH in use in Siren's Call. What are insperations I stack up on? Purples, Greens, and a few blues. All the the things I'm supposed to need the least since I'm a Regen scrapper supposedly. That's how uber I'm not even with those supposedly "unfair" powers.

That above quote was the ACTUAL PvP complaint at the time. ALL Scrappers use inspirations like that now, they all have lower Status Protection, they all offer less mitigation, etc etc. I think your expectations are just unreasonable, as none of those powers are "unfair" anymore. IH will still make you nigh-unkillable while it's up (though if you're held it'll only delay the inevitable) against all but the highest DPS attackers (Blasters, other Scrappers perhaps).

While you might feel that Hurricane is "unfair" to you, it is very easy to bypass given several easily available tactics, the easiest of which is to get a teamate with ranged attacks to kite and blast/mez him, only slightly more difficult being learning how to charge through it and hit with a Stun like Cobra Strike or buy the Stun Grenade temp power.


Sgt Liberty - 50 Martial Arts / Super Reflexes
Verdigris Eagle - 50 Archery / Energy Manipulation
Stormeye - 50 Storm Summoning / Electric Blast
