Assassin Strike nerfed?

so i got on my stalker this morning, he just got 17 and has his AS full of 3 damage DOs, level 20. so i hear that AS was nerfed. i go up to a LT clockwork, i was able to get these guys down to about 15 hp before they died before. i use my AS and i bring him down to a little less than 1/2. had the devs listened to all the whiners and not just the people who planned those assassin strikes, who waited for the perfect moment to strike?

I dunno what you're talking about. I wasn't having any trouble after the last patch using AS, nor was another stalker I teamed up with who had a different primary. Seemed just the same as before.

Where are you getting this AS nerf from?

I didn't notice a difference last night on live. A stealth nerf like that would REALLY piss people off.

No AS nerf that I can see. Myself with my Nin/Nin stalker, a Nin/Regen stalker and a Claws/Regen stalker, a Dom for flavor, tore through missions pretty literally at level 8-9 (two of us levelled up during it, started off all at 8). We even took on an Elite Boss Vampyr, our timing was lousy, but three AS'es one after the other from stealth, and he was DOWN. So if there's a nerf, it's a pretty bloody weak one!

No sign it was nerfed last night (after the patch).

Clockwork are highly resistant to Lethal, aren't they? Could that be it?

Problem is that you were attacking clockworks -- they have a very high resistance to lethal damage. Same thing with most, if not all mechanical enemies (Council drones and bots for example)

I know on my 34 Stalker, when fighting council bots, I cannot one-shot even-level drones, with 3 green damage SOs. I need to use buildup.

You probably didn't notice this because clockwork are a lot rarer in CoV than in CoH. -Haldur

Thanks for the info about the Clockwork. I always wondered why it would be a lot higher damage on some more than others....

Assassin Strike damage is around 88% unresistable when striking with Hide active so damage resistance will only affect your other attacks.

luckily castle responded quickly enough to prevent masshysteria but seriously not cool at all freaking had me on hedge almost until i remembered i played last night and all was well

most of the reason i posted this thread was cause i saw on another thread there were people talking about how it was nerfed. i just wanted to see if others noticed it

I noticed long bow & aracnos troops seem to have some leth resisit too. not as much as the clocks but still enough to make u use build up for the 1 shot.

I thought it was only unresistable in PvP.

In PvE for instance Scrapper Crits are certainly resisted normally based on the damage type. I'd be surprised if Stalker Crits work differently.

hate to tell you this guys but as is gettign nerfed in pvp once issue 7 comes you will no longer be able to one huit in pvp.

ahh everyone is getting nerfed so they cant one hit or be one hitted. so MY MASTERMIND WINSSSSSSSZORRSSSSS HAHAHAHAHAHA

the only archtype that cant one shot my mastermind are controllers. Saddly if ED wasnt here they could with me contained, and some of their buffs/debuffs. hell i beat a */energy dominator could one shot me with total focus and domination up

i dont remeber the issue but it was stated that AS was changed, i.e. in that it would do less damage to minions and leus, and more damage to pve AV' and PVe heros, I do notice a HUGE difference, i some times cant even one hit a yellow leu, where before i was one hitting a purple lue followed by 1 hitting both minions by him, I play and EM stalker
