how is the baconator? I haven't tried it yet. I miss the BBC.

[/ QUOTE ]

The Baconator is designed to reduce your life expectancy by about two weeks per burger consumed. It lists at 830 calories and 51 grams of fat. Compare that to the Monster Thickburger's 1410*/107 (more calories and fat than a Baconator plus a large order of fries), and you see why I now regard the Baconator as being in the happy meal class...Uggghhhhh... The Baconator is still enough meat and grease to put you into a food coma.

*Some sources list the Monster Thickburger at 1420 calories, although after looking it up, Hardees lists it at 1410.

I can remember when I was able to eat stuff like that and not turn into a beach ball.

I used to eat a half dozen rasberry filled powdered donuts and a quart of dark chocolate milk as a snack inbetween meals and could still lose weight.

Now I almost have a heart attack just thinking about ordering one of those baconators...

Reminds me of the days I ate 5000+ calories daily.

I was playing rugby for a college team and a club, plus rowing 5 times per week.

I still lost weight.

Now I look at a doughnut and gain 2 lbs.

I did the same thing with a thing of Cool Whip when I was seven. Hey! It is my allowance and I want Cool Whip!

I didn't get sick either but, ugg, just the thought of it makes me sick

I used to do that with Checkers fries when there were some in Puerto Rico. Now that I'm in TN, I cant find any near me.

[/ QUOTE ]

Depending on where you are in TN, you have it, you just don't know it... it's under a different name.

Long before Checkers, there was a little place called "Central Park" - same premise, a tiny drive-through kiosk where you bought burgers and fries. They did it all first: spiced/battered fries, apple nuggets, etc.

I know there are some in both Chattanooga and Knoxville, don't know about elsewhere.

They are superior to Checkers.

[/ QUOTE ]

I just checked the obvious: their website. Seems there is one in downtown Nashville, 13 minutes away from where I live in. Unfortunately, right now, I'm in a very strict "loose all that bunch of fat" diet (and exercise, never diet without exercise kids, it isn't healthy to just starve, control diet and burn what you eat!) that I don't plan to break (nor do i plan to work out even more to burn that excess!)

I tried it a while back, but seems i been eating healthy for too long, half way through i was already feeling the excess of oil in my digestive system. Not sick, not nausea, just that thing you get when you eat greeasy food after long periods of healthy salads and chicken with grilled meats and vegetables and nothing deep fried, etc etc.

I finished it, though, but that was the last time I eat one. I bet I would had loved it two years back, when I used to every single day lunch and dine a backon double cheeseburger from BK, with large fries, large vanilla shake and a large Diet Coke (like the falvor way better than regular coke.) Sometimes I would also go for a dessert! No ponder I got to 240lbs...

78lbs less later, my only true temptation are the newly discovered Kristal's Chiks! 3 of those with a Cornpup! Pure bliss that is only surpassed by Chili's Molten Chocolate Cake!!!

I had a Hardees Monster Thickburger (2/3lb burger, bacon, lots of cheese) last weekend with a large order of curly fries to boot. I felt groggy and sluggish for the entire day. Weighing in at 1420 calories (with nearly 1000 of those calories coming from fat), the burger is appropriately named. Of course, the burgers used in testing probably didn't have a gravy ladle's worth of mayo on them like mine did. Tack on another 500+ calories for the fries, and you have the makings for a bad day. I'm not a small guy (6'2"/215 lbs), but I'm not big enough to wolf down 2000 calories worth of grease and bread in twenty minutes without paying the price.

After eating that monstrosity, I decided that Wendy's Baconator belongs on the kids menu.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ooof! Just the thought of that makes me cringe, and I still have a few years of youth left in me. Now give me a dish of curry, rice, and naan bread? I'll eat an entire day's worth of calories in one sitting... of course, it isn't all grease.

Dull Pain has never been nerfed. The last change to it was a buff - its +health was made 50% enhanceable. Very approximately, that buff was comparable to giving the two scrappers with dull pain (invuln and regen) brute health.

So perma-DP with no enhanceable +health is equitable with non-perma-DP with enhanceable +health?

Or are we now at IO backed perma-DP w/ enhanceable +health?

Be well, people of CoH.

i think DP with the +hp (no ios) is better than the perma dp. Slotting heals gave much more combat options for its use and the extra hp really helped too. Much better than putting DP on auto, imo.

I think ED hit everyone to varying degrees. Not sure if that means the power was necessarily nerfed, but the enhancements that go into it were. The fact that DP got enhanceable +health makes up for it, IMO. Gives alot more use for the Heals we put in it. Also wouldn't call it a wash. I'd prefer the perma, but it's not a Regen-only power, so it may help others more with the added hp modifier.
