ZOMG!
Actually, do you still have a /regen guide? Or rather, a current /regen guide? I'm totally at sea with the set these days. I can play my spines/regen fine, but when I look at revising her build, I'm not sure what I should be doing.

i would try to write one but I can't decide what to do with mine. And just using common IOs, Scrappers are so strong that anything I write would boil down to "slot what you want, it's pretty damn hard to [censored] this up now".
that said, what are you looking for in this build? want a common IO one first?

Bah! I thought you mentioned work in your reply, but it's getting late and I misread (so my attempt at humor didn't really make sense). Sorry about that.
I can't help you from a Spines IO aspect, but you did ask for guides. Evil Geko's is a good place to start (I linked to the Regen half of it, though I wouldn't be surprised if you read it already). He gives some sample IO slotting as well, though it really depends on your build's focus.
The key to IOs, imo, is to pick a few things and try to do those very well. If you spread your focus across too many bonuses, you won't be able to stack them to a very signifigant degree. It's also important to keep in mind which sets you have available to you. (Using generic IOs in certain places can also save you slots elsewhere. For example, putting 2 lvl50 EndMod IOs in QR/Stam will only lose 0.08 eps recovery (CJ is 0.06 eps), but gain 2 slots to put elsewhere.)
I started to get lengthy and verbose, but I'll be honest, the best way to learn how to utilize IOs is just by playing with them. They're a new puzzle, and you'll only get better at assembling the puzzle by getting your hands dirty. Yes, it's a lot of work, but it's also very rewarding to see it pay off, at least to me.
Again, sorry if I came off as a tard before, it was a joke/tease gone wrong.

Hmm... that's good to know. I know that the third stamina IO adds about 10% enhancement, but I didn't realize how small that was.

I didn't choose powers in the 40s because I used their slots elsewhere. This is just a quick one, but it tries to max out recharge. It does okay. 41% from IOs and the 70% from Hasten, which has a 20s downtime. DP is close to Perma, IH is back in 210s, Recon is only 19.4s.

I could probably work all this out with a bit less laziness, I just get a headache looking at Mids when I pick Spines/Regen - or really, any powerset combo now that I've done my defender and scrapper. I'd guess going for +regen and +recharge would probably be a winning start.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's too many choices you have to make. Regens have three options for a 'focus' from what I can see:
1) Recharge (this is currently moving to FOTM status, but I think all those recharge boost might get the nerf before long)
2) Regen (this is popular, and has the advantage of giving just enough extra regen to make a difference, which for Regen means a lot)
3) Defense (this is a dark horse, but it's possible for certain sets to wind up with significant defense, in the teens and early twenties. Not sure if Spines can but I'd suspect so.)
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
Thanks much. At the very least, it's a strong starting point. (adding hover + teleport to the last three powers for Shadow Shard silliness)
Yeah, EG - the sheer number of options really is driving me up the wall. It's better than other dilemmas I can think of, though.
The only thing I don't like about going defense is the need to pick up Weave. Three slots for fighting is a fairly big investment - something I'd only really do if it's possible to skip Fitness (and Health is nice on top of everything else).
I will be sad when +recharge is nerfed.

Interesting thing is that I can see skipping IH before Resilience now. At least resilience is always there and holds the resist IOs without having to go tough.

you two rock. i probably don't say that enough.
I had some time, and threw something together with Spines/Regen. Kind of a middle of the road build.

Strengths include, DP perma through the first hasten cycle (hasten down for 20 seconds) 13% def to all, 27% defense to range which, due to the nature of a mobile spines/regen is probably more important than melee defense.
Recovery of 3.28eps despite not having stamina. Base regen rate is a little low at 519%, but with the +recharge on recon having it up every 19 seconds + the layer of defense you should do just fine.
Oh, instant healing recharges in about 200 seconds while hasten is up. Maneuvers could always be swapped out for MoG, if your one of those people :P Best of luck!

No offense but why should they. If anything, I am getting afraid of the nerf bat again with IO's. Its very easy to become unkillable in basic encounters.
IF THEY TAKE OUT THE QR, AM JS GONNA DELETE ALL MY REGEN SCRAPPERS + QUIT AGAIN TO PLAY COH/V, AND WILL GET MY MONEY BACK (SINCE I ALREADY HAVE PAID FOR AN YEAR.)
(sits down, lights a Cohiba, and takes a long pull off an imported stout)
Ahh, the lounge. I'm home again.

I thought the SR lounge was just Arcanaville and a graphing calculator in a booth at the local McDonald's?
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

Hopefully she wouldn't see this while she was there (got this in an email recently ):
Have you ever asked your child a question too many times? My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training
and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch in between errands. It was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month-old daughter, and she was clean. Then I realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while.
I asked him if he needed to go, and he said "No". I kept thinking "Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clean clothes with me." Then I said, "Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?" "No," he replied.
I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse. So, I asked one more time,
"Danny, did you have an accident?" This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over, spread his cheeks and yelled "SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!"
While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down.
An older couple made me feel better, thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had!
