Does anyone know if we will get more global chat channels since we will be allowed more characters per server?

Well, Halloween is the big CoV launch, but I'd like to think they'll do another "trick or treat" event in Paragon like they did last year, that was great.
Yeah I figured COV would be the big holloween event. But yeah I would like to see the "trick or treat" event that your speaking about. I would really like a chance to get the holloween badges from last year. They look really cool. Last year was the "trick or treat" even just Holloween or was it for a week or what?

Uhh, careful there. You make it sound as if all blasters were better off in I5 than in I4. I know I wasn't. Of course my blaster was a concept build, and there is only one concept left after ED. And that concept I don't like.
Well besides fixing or turning back ED (Which you've already heard a few hundred times).
There are some obvious ones that go way back of things that should be fixed or modifed.
Fix unstoppable. That power became a broken power ever since I2, a year ago. When Unyielding stance became unyielding. There is no reason to take it. It is more of a liability, and a means of committing suicide then something that can help you. Since you get the massive health and end drop when it runs out.
I think this power should be like a "God mode" where you are nearly indestrubible for a short span of time like a 1-2 minutes. But it would have a very long recharge time.
Secondly. I've already noticed people say that archery is an underpowered power. And I agree. I have an archer defender, and I've heard archer blasters talk about that too.
The "Three minions one hero" rule does not really apply to that power set. I can just barely handle that many minions. I usually have to chew through my inspirations to do it, when 3 fight me at once.
So I ask that they upgrade damage. And make Glue Arrow have a faster recharge speed. Especially since ED made an already overly long recharge time even worse.

why is this bug (i assume it's a bug) still around?
I understand what you mean about Unyielding, but you may not have noteced the most recent nerfs. Unyielding is now down to 7.5% damage reduction and 6 slotted it only reachesabout 12.5. I still have it because of the status protection, and it is still better than the passsive defenses, but it hardly compares to Unstoppable anymore.
yeah I suppose the big nerf might have made it somewhat feasible again, for those nasty fire fights. (I've noticed some people having it in their builds which made me wonder what that was all about)
But that big drop off at the end is still brutal. If an empathy defender doesn't have health regen aura going, or auto heal going. You are really going to feel it...
Re: Getting higher level SO rewards
While that is annoying, I just had a very funny experience along the same lines. My level 29 controller completed a story arc (level 25-30) and received...a level 13 SO. I have no idea why, but I have kept it because it is so funny.

However IF a RED actually does decide to do this. WHY CAN'T I REMOVE MISSIONS FROM MY QUEUE
and don't tell me its unheroic. Its just as unheroic to beg for help, IGNORE IT, and any number of things people do. IF you allowed us to remove our own missions you likely would have a lot less petitions and alot more players still playing and a lot less teams repeating missions that they just did.
Nothing like teaming up and doing THE SAME mission over and over again because everyone has the same mission but at different locations.
At least outdoor kill mission everyone gets credit on them. Instances we do MULTIPLE times I don't see how that's logical or in any way makes sense from a team position let alone a soloist.

Here's my question:
What can be done to make EMP/* defenders remotely feasible under the latest patch? I took SwissMiss to 50 the hard way - doing missions - primarily other people's missions. I have all of my high level content left - and have very little interest in finishing it.
ED offers nothing but a downward nerf on ALL of the powers. They were optimized/adjusted under perma-hasten - yet the recharge times are HUGE now - almost useless. Please take a look at this.
Swiss Miss - Lvl 50 Emp/Psy Defender
Swiss Rad - Lvl 50 Ill/Rad Controller
Belle de Jour - Lvl 50 Fire/Kin Controller
Honey Ryder - Lvl 50 Stone/Stone Tank
ThermoKing - Lvl 37 Gimped Fire/Ice Tank

will players who do not buy cov ever be able to build or get into bases?
Question...In future will it be possible for ppl who out leveled a contact to E-back down to the contact's level to be able to complete missions missed? I.E. badge missions missed.
Ok, here is a set of questions (some also on my website):
- When will blaster BASE accuracy, damage, and range match the motto of the blaster? Last I remember, it was "Range is a blaster's best defense," but defenders (especially Dark) can easily outdistance us on Snipe (Energy Blaster) vs MoonBeam (Dark Defender), let alone the enemy easily able to outdistance us. We should be able to two/three shot most white cons, and have at least 70% accuracy (had at best 50-60% accuracy accross the board, with 2 acc enh).
- Will tanks ever be what they were ment to be, and take damage, while just dishing enough out to keep a mob happily on him? Gauntlet seems to be a joke with the tanker, and they go down too much, or burn a lot of end. Maybe reducing end costs could help.
- When fighting in missions with cons 3-4 lvls below, you would think bosses would get affected by holds/immobiles, but half the time they don't. Is this a bug?
- Since you added those PVP zones, I knew some that don't want to venture there because of forced PVP, but missions are always eventually ending up there. How bout a system-setting PVP flag, where when you disable it, you won't see Player Enemies (CoV Player Villains and other PVPers), and they won't see you? Then us non-PVPers can enjoy the missions/bonuses offered there without worrying about Quake-wannabes sniping our posteriors. Even adding a 30 second delay (so cheaters don't try to use this to their advantage), or making it permenant til you leave the PVP area work make it good.
- How about actually READING this forum, and taking what some of these people say and discuss it, letting us know the results? We players have a lot of complaints about various issues, and see nothing resolved.
Hey Devs i was just wandering if you could tweak some of the level restrictions or at least make them one level lower . not everyone's 50 or 30 jsut yet and its very unfair for me and others alike.

The level restrictions for what, exactly? You'd need to be more specific.

I am considering opening an additional account so my son can play CoH/CoV as well. Currently he has a single character on my account on the Champion server. My question is, can his character be transferred from my account to a new account? Most of my characters are on Pinnacle but it would be nice to be able to play at the same time or even play together if we create characters on the same servers.

You can't switch characters to other accounts ...I tried to do this when I opened my own account after I got tired of waithing for my boyfriend to get off the computer...that was about June of this year that I sent support an email about it...so unless its changed, they cant do it...
Well I have a number questions but I think I speak for a majority of the community when I ask this: When is the new Skill System going live? Also my own personal question: Are we going to be able to have jetpacks optional in the flight pool?
Just curious, but when is Statesman going to answer the Ask Statesman questions that were posed?

When buying Enhancements, I used to:
- Open store screen
- Buy enhancements
- Click on Manage
- Place enhancements in slots
Now, it has been changed and an extra step was added:
- Close store screen
I find buying enhancements to be somewhat tedious as it was, and I am talking about when I have to redo all of my slots. Adding the extra step only added to the tedium.
So I was wondering why the Devs decided it was necessary to stop us from going straight to managing our enhancements from the store screen with out first closing the store screen.

What is the purpose of Fire Tankers? What do they do that no other set can do?

[/ QUOTE ]? You might need to be a little more specific. Fire tanks can tank, but so can all other tanks. Fire tanks can deal damage, but so can all other tanks, scrappers, blasters, etc. Fire tanks do what other tanks and damage dealers do.
Fire tanks deal a little more damage then other tanks, but the trade off is, they are squishier then other tanks. To compensate as best as possible for this it is in a fire tank's best interest to pick up tough and weave from the fighting pool and to counter against knockback Acrobatics from the Leaping pool.
When they have all that with their damage resist from their primary, fire tanks can tank well, and dish out the damage.
